[I’ve worked on this for a while now, and I believe its finally ready. This will be my first storyline rp and I hope you'll like it.]

Warring Nations

Destiny of the Wolf

Welcome to the start of a new journey. Long has it been since the great wars ended. Many fought for freedom, others fought for truth, some fought for love, while few fought for all. The cost was high, but both the people and the pain are just an old memory now. All that remains are the shadows… an everlasting reminder to those in the present to be wary of the darkness in all of us.

In the now, evil has taken a new form. This form is more dangerous than before. One that remains hidden in the darkness until the time to strike has come. If this evil should have its way, the blood it will shed will pave the way to the future. May the heavens show mercy on us all…

Rules :
Basic rules apply:
No godding.
No excessive controlling. That means you can’t go beat someone up or kill them without their permission.
Keep OOC in [brackets] and try not to overkill on it.
You can have up to three characters at one time.
Play nice.
See here for more info.

Other Rules
Do not use any actual anime characters for this rp.
You don’t have to submit a character for approval, or post some kind of bio if you don’t want to. A description of your character would be appreciated.
You can make up your own part of the story, just make sure it doesn’t conflict with the rest of the story, or do anything drastic like sink an island or something…
Do not use more than 2 fighting npcs for your story. This means you can only have 2 tag-along npcs who can fight.
You only have so much power. If your character is more than one class, both classes must have their strength cut by half.

You must use [ID] at all times.
Example: [Nation, Name, Class] (location)

Teleportation: Limit teleportation to short range only. City to city or island to island is too far, and all locations will have teleport points to all other friendly locations. Teleports only work on the main continent, you cannot teleport to any of the islands.

Classes :
Firstly, you can use any class you can think of. Anything from hanyou to shinigami, from alchemist to mage. This story is also set in a modern era similar to ghost in the shell. As such, you can have an advanced artificial body, but your magic must be very limited. Technology is still limited, so no beam weapons, and no super-mecha!

Spell Power Class
There is a difference in strength between ninja and mages. It takes a high-class ninja to defeat a moderate-class mage. For example, a class 5 ninja is equal to a class 1 mage. Class 5 ninjutsu is basically shadow clones, high-speed Taijutsu, ect.

Nation/Location :
There are three continents, three nations. Each continent is about the same size, and each continental nation has control over one of the Great Three Centre.

The Great Three Centre
From east to west: Estlemere, Gendou, Yokunga. These three islands sit on the equator, and are at least three thousand miles from the nearest landmass. The islands themselves belong to one nation or the other. There are no natives. The only things left are massive craters and ruined towns made from stone. Of course, there are the old relics… treasures and sealed weapons that promise great power. Since the continents are equally distant from each other, the best staging ground for a world war is the Great Three Centre.

D’iare
D’iare is northeast of the Great Three Centre. D’iare is known as the land of spring, only a fourth of the continent has a yearlong winter. To preserve its land, most of D’iare’s major cities are in the northern region. D’iare has the most mages, alchemists, and ninjas of the three nations. While other types of classes exist, they are few and far between.

Yajin
Yajin is the capital of D’iare. Yajin lies on the coast closest to its main island, Gendou.

Gendou
Gendou sets at the center the Great Three Centre. Long ago, Gendou was the center of every great war fought over the three islands. As a result, Gendou has suffered the most damage. Gendou is also where all forms of magical energy are at their strongest.

Hajin
Hajin is a large coastal city based solely on fishing. Hajin is on the other side of D’iare. Near Hajin is the largest defense base on the eastern coast of D’iare. This base has been put in place to defend against attacks from the east.

Haven
Haven is a small island off the western coast of D’iare. It serves as the largest naval defense base for D’iare. The island is a mountain fortress, complete with long-range assault batteries, defensive barriers, and an advanced detection system.

Roma
Roma is southeast of the Great Three Centre. More than half of the continent endures harsh arctic weather, plus the eastern half is mostly desert. Roma is far more industrialized than D’iare, and sports a military fairly larger than that of D’iare. Roma has never had good relations with D’iare. The root of this opposition is land. Roma is overpopulated, but D’iare forbids the use of thousands of miles of forestland. Coupled with the fact that D’iare’s own population is very high, D’iare has repeatedly denied refuge to Roma. The Roma were the first to discover the Greet Three Centre centuries ago, back when there were four islands. In fact, it was Roma’s appearance that ignited the first of many major wars among the natives.

Roma is the leading nation in cyber-technology. Roma also has many assassins and bio-engineered warriors. Mages are rare, most of them favoring ice or wind style attacks.

Roma
Roma, Roma… it’s said to be the most beautiful place on Earth. The city stands as the ultimate testament to modern achievement. Though it isn’t a military base, the city has an extraordinary defense system.

Estlemere
Estlemere lies east of Gendou. This island suffered the least during the old wars. While Roma has built a few small cities and a military base there, most of the island’s history remains in tact.

Berlin
The Berlin are a pair of massive, slow-moving navel ports on either side of the Roma continent. It serves as the command center for Roma navel activity and supply.

Yokun
This massive continent lies dead west of the Great Three Centre. Satellite imagery has revealed multiple environments from thick jungle to vast deserts to high-mountains. Satellites failed to locate any structures, but they did happen to catch an occasional explosion. As for Yokunga, its people are extremely secretive. All recorded attempts to invade or explore Yokun and its islands have failed.

Yokun is the land of monsters, and has no solid government. Demons and other mythical creatures vie for power over the other. While they have no technological abilities, the brute force of Yokun’s combined armies would be enough overwhelm Roma and D’iare combined.

Yokunga
It isn’t known how these creatures get from Yokun to Yokunga and back. What is known is that the aura of Yokunga has changed from time to time. Like Yokun, Yokunga seems to be in a state of war.

Story
Prelude

The First of the Great Three Centre… Gendou…

Coast of Lazarus… Shining Hill Tourist Resort…

Warring Nations… Waltz of the Snake, the Hawk, and the Wolf…

A storm was brewing. Thick, dark clouds slowly brew over the wide-open ocean. Truly, surely, it is a magnificent sight to behold. A cool sea breeze blows through under a gray sky. The view is breath taking from the Resort, built along a steep, rocky slope. The upper class shacks made of bamboo and evergreen palm leaves.

Inside, small barrooms are filled with the sounds of gentle laughter. The waitresses, who all appear identical, their orange hair pulled back in a short ponytail, silently tend to the tables. The upper echelons enjoy martinis and fine cocktail in the safety of shelter, yet one young woman remains on the balcony.

She looks to be the age of twenty-five, hair was long and black. Her eyes were a cool, gentle black, which accented her black dress with gray buttons. She leans forward on her barstool, resting her chin in her hands, and watches the massive storm roll in.

One of the waitresses comes out to meet the young woman, saying, “Excuse me, miss Uchiha?” The young woman straightens her posture, addressing the waitress. “Yes?” “I beg your pardon, maim, but a severe thunderstorm warning has been issued as of seven twenty-three pm. For your own safety, I must ask you to come inside, maim.”

The young woman nods. The waitress goes to open the door, and bows, waiting on the Uchiha. As she gets up, she feels a quake beneath her feet. Down below, a shockwave hits the water, sending a wave back out into the ocean. The woman turns, and stares curiously at the wave heading out to sea. “An earthquake?” she asks herself.

Gendou Navel Communications/Air Force Base… Sky Hill…

Near the center of the island, a short, square watchtower stands alone on a steep hill. At the top level, military officers quickly pace from consol to consol…

“Hey… that last one showed up on the Richter scale. Three point two.” Said one of the officers. A commander leaned over the officer’s shoulder, looking confused and frustrated at the scale. He straightens up quickly, and glares across the room. “Lieutenant, confirm the position of Luna!” Looking somewhat on edge, the lieutenant rechecks his readings. “Satellites have been confirmed, the moon is about seven and a half hours from full G-Pull.” “Sir, the worst the moon has ever done is point four, and that was at full G-Pull.” Said the first officer, appearing nervous at the commander’s frustration. “Gendou has never, never shown any signs of volcanic activity, are you sure its not the storm?”

Coast of Lazarus.
Shining Hill Island Tour.
[7:14 pm.]

A small tourist boat slowly floats along the coast. A number of individuals observing a nearby temple. The temple itself was actually a somewhat common sight, having the appearance of an abandoned church, overgrown in plant life. At both sides of the entrance, and at the top of the high arch, were three women carved into the stone. On the left, was a woman who held her arms out in a welcoming manner. On the right, the same woman, on her knees, weeping. At the top, the same woman again, dressed in shining armor, and bearing a shining sword and shield.

Another waitress addresses the tourists. “As some of you may know, Gendou Island possesses the greatest number of sacred temples. This is one of Gendou’s more famous temples. The Temple of The Peacekeeper. This temple is the last of three temples built to prevent the wars that eventually wiped out the entire population of all three islands…

Many religions believe that Gendou Island is the source of all life since it lies at the center of what was once five islands, and also because the moon is closer to the Earth here than anywhere else, and because more stars are visible here than anywhere else. Some even believe that Gendou Island is the exact position where the universe first began, as part of the famous theorem known as the Fantasy Bang Theory.”

As the tour guide continues, an older man rests on the ship’s guardrail. Another man of similar age and having blonde hair and blue eyes walks up behind him. “You know… one might think you as being a business man in that tux of yours, but that Uchiha hairdo of yours is a dead giveaway, Madara.” The man known as Madara does well to hide his aggravation, replying to blonde-haired man, “Jinnosuke Yashima, it’s been too long. Still working with Estlemere’s SDA, I take it.” “C’mon, you know I can’t tell you something like that… say… by the way… I’m told your daughter Tsukiyomi has grown into quite the lovely young woman.” Madara’s glare, still aimed at the sea, becomes colder. “So… word of my daughter’s beauty has reached as far as people of your standing. As her father, I am genuinely honored.” Jinnosuke grinned as he reared back, letting the insult go unanswered.

“Its perfect, you know?” “What?” Madara spoke rather coldly. “A marriage to a woman of such beauty and nobility, not to mention the wealth and military status. Tsukiyomi’s marriage alone will have an impact on the world. Just imagine the chaos if she were to marry a general from a foreign nation, eh.” Jinnosuke elbowed Madara, “Especially bitterly opposed nations. It would be Romeo and Juliet all over agai-” Jinnosuke was immediately silenced when the back of Madara’s hand connected with Jinnosuke’s chest, and sent him across the boat, skipping off the steel guard rail, and on the water three times… or maybe it was four… before he crashed into the water.

While everyone watched in panic, Jinnosuke slowly pushed himself up to stand on the water, feeling the pain from the blow to his chest, his clothing blown away from the small area where Madara’s hand connected. “Son of… a…” Jinnosuke muttered, his voice was strained and raspy. Madara calmly walked up to the guardrail, taking notice of the small dent left by Jinnosuke, his eyes still normal.

Jinnosuke was readying himself to fight, but then he sensed something. Madara sensed it as well… a pressure. A woman’s voice, unfamiliar, roared from the island’s coast. Madara and Jinnosuke turn to the direction of the woman’s voice. A few miles in, a large dust cloud rises from a valley. A wave of water hits the boat, following the shockwave. Madara’s eyes quickly reveal his Sharingan. “That was a mage’s spell…”

The tour guide freezes, and then addresses the tourists again. “Everyone, may I have your attention, please?” She switched to a firmer tone than before. “A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect. Because of this, I’m afraid we must discontinue this tour.” A pair of sailors run to the rail, calling out to Jinnosuke, “You there, can you make it back to the boat?” Jinnosuke nods and replies, “Yeah… I’m commin…” With that, Jinnosuke starts running to the boat. Madara’s stare is unbroken as he watches the valley.

“My god, that resonance pattern! Commander!” The commander ran over to a consol where a officer bore a look of pure terror. “What is it? Common, talk to me!” “I’ve identified the source of the quakes! Someone’s using Class 9 mage spells!”

Just then, the tower was hit with an even more powerful shockwave. “Four point seven on the Richter, four point seven!” The windows were vibrating. The commander turned to his communications officer, shouting, “Send out a general alert. Notify the Dauntress!”

Shining Hill Tourist Resort.

“Attention, the illegal usage of Class 9 mage spells have been detected, please proceed in a calm and orderly manner to the nearest emergency shelter. Repeat-” A woman’s voice kept repeating the warning over the intercom. The waitresses were now guiding the tourists. Tsukiyomi was among them…

Peaceful River Valley.

Two figures stand apart from each other, each wielding impressively large broadswords. One figure appeared to be a male, whose slender build and sleek features pale in comparison to the triangular blade he wields. The sword itself surges with energy, a violet streak appears along the blade. The other figure was a young woman, who’s blade is rectangular, and bears white and blue stripping. The two charge each other and swing, the male’s power appearing the be greater. “Bastard!” The woman roars as swings, the other releases a small chuckle. Their swords meet…

The Richter scale signals a 5.3 along with the stronger rattling of the windows and temporary power loss. “Damn it!” The commander roars, “Where the hell is the Dauntress?”

Tsukiyomi looks out to sea… The storm had actually been slowed down, a distinctive number of arcs forming against the clouds. Below, she could see her father’s boat rocking about in the surf, and a man running towards it. Sensing her father’s chakra, Tsukiyomi could tell Madara was trying to control the increasingly choppy water around the boat.

Another quake hit, strong enough to through everyone off balance, except for the waitresses. The shockwave hits a bolder at the top of the sloop. It was large enough to smash the entire resort. As it started to fall, two of the waitresses spoke quickly and at the same time,
“AI R13 Responding.”
“AI J10 Responding.”

Moving at the same time, they flip onto the rail, staring at the boulder as if to target it. They crouch in tight as if to launch themselves, the sound of gears and rotors revving up. The rails almost break as they launch themselves in the air. The waitresses smash their bodies against the right side of the boulder, deflecting it so that it misses the resort.

Parts of the waitresses rolled down the hill, it wasn’t something the tourists expected. Tsukiyomi became rather nervous.

Peaceful River Valley.

The man’s features are revealed in the light. His eyes were a-slit, his gray hair came down to his neck… and he was smiling. His armor contoured to his slender build, being of a pitch-black color with maroon strips. The woman had brown hair and piercing blue eyes. She wore a white robe lined with a blue stripe. Their swords trembled as they were forced against each other. The man quickly overpowered the woman, sending her flying backwards.

They were fighting in a narrow ravine, balancing on boulders and jagged rocks. Just as the woman lands, she sees, and barely manages to dodge the sword that had been hurled at her. Without his sword, the woman rushes in, cutting down to split the man in half. The man makes a subtle shift, turns, just missing the sword. He points two fingers at the woman’s head.

She rolls forward, just dodging the beam of energy that burns through the rock and creates a massive explosion on the water. As she lands, she sees the man running for his sword. She throws her own. While still wearing that damned grin on his face, he stops, just missing the sword. The woman flashsteps, grabbing her sword, and swinging it at the man, who is right there… meeting her sword again.

“Damn you, Gihren!” the woman spat at this man named Gihren. Gihren kept his voice calm, a sadistic aura lying just beneath his demeanor. “Why Aina? I don’t understand why you want to kill me so badly. I thought you would be grateful if nothing else… since I taught you those skills after all.”

Aina forced Gihren off of her. The two of them face off again. “Aina, Aina, Aina… do you truly believe that I killed your lover?” “I know you did, you bastard.” “I guess so… since you’re willing to use that level of power against me… Oh… and by the way, you may want to hurry up, it won’t be long before someone interferes with our little fight.”

As Jinnosuke pulled himself aboard, one of the sailors pointed out to sea. He had noticed a pair rather grim-looking helicopters that flew overhead. Each one bore an impressive array of missiles and one freshly polished rotary gun. Another shockwave occurred, stronger than before. The force rocked both choppers and the tour boat. The two pilots radio to each other, “Dauntress, its confirmed. I can see two people. It looks like one of them is using Class 9 magic, the other is using Class 10.”
“Can you confirm their type?”
“Affirmative… both are Type 3 mages.”
“Shit. That means their energy is being concentrated in a cutting form. If one of them deflects the other’s blade, it could split the island in two!”
“We’ve also got some kind of tourist boat trapped in the surf. It looks like someone is trying to level out the waves as they hit the boat.”
“What the hell? Isn’t that General Uchiha?”

A ship resembling a small aircraft carrier comes into view. It’s the Dauntress. The ship radios in to the helicopters. “Unit 1, activate your stabilizers and tow the tourist boat to safety, Unit 2, return to the ship.” The captain faces the island, grimacing at the site of the mushroom cloud forming in the sky. “Violet Team, get into position and form a barrier.” Two machines emerge on deck. They look like crabs with arms and legs. They move to a position equally distant from each other. Flaps open on their bodies, and spread into something resembling a net. Engraved into the flaps are symbols that flare up. The mages piloting them focus their energy, and an energy barrier forms around the ship.

The helicopter’s blades split from four to twelve. The sailors below attach cables from the helicopter. Everyone but Madara and Jinnosuke had gone below deck. The two ninja were struggling just to keep the ship afloat.

It had to happen at that point… Aina deflected Gihren’s attack, the energy released in the direction of ocean. The helicopter was struck, cutting the pilot’s cockpit, and the pilot, off of the rest of the vehicle. It spun out of control, crashing into the water and exploding, and setting off its ordinance as well. The front section of the boat was blown away. Jinnosuke and Madara could barely hold their place.

The ship sank quickly, hitting the surface only a few feet further below. The boat settled in the sand, the occupants were safe from the water for the most part. One of the sailors shouted to Madara, “We need to abandon ship, sir!” Jinnosuke responded first, “No. This boat is our best bet. If everyone tries to swim out, they’ll get smashed against the rocks!”

Madara had had enough. Making a number of hand signs, he activated a jutsu. “Water Element, Water Barrier Jutsu!” “Are you nuts?” Asked Jinnosuke bitterly. “We’ll find out soon enough…” Madara used the water to form a wall ahead of the boat. It had successfully stopped the pounding waves. Jinnosuke added his own power to the wall, and finally managed to stabilize the jutsu.

Peaceful River Valley.

“Why did you kill him?” Gihren backed away, holding his stance. “I’m telling you, I didn’t kill the guy… but I’ll tell you a secret…” Aina slammed into Gihren at full speed, causing him to slide backwards… just a little… “What would that be?” Gihren’s smile grew wider, “I was planning to kill him.” Aina had been taken by surprise. “Oh yes… that little ass of a ninja, Drake. Such a sense of heroism and right and wrong and all that useless drivel. Didn’t like how I did things, so I was planning to off him in some gruesome way. Then he up and vanished. Probably got eaten by a fish… who knows… I hate fish.” “Bastard!” Angel wings made of pure energy released from Aina’s back. Gihren was taken by surprise, and was flung into the rock wall behind him.

Though she gasped for breath, her power was increasing.

Dauntress.

“Captain, we have a satellite uplink.” “Let’s see it.” The captain looked to large screen hanging from the ceiling. It went from a dull black to bird’s eye view of the battle. “Prepare the bombers… if that battle intensifies… take them out.” “Heads up!” Came another officer’s report, “Class 13 magic detected!”

The Dauntress is immediately rocked by an upsurge of tidal forces. With the ship rocking as it is, the fighters couldn’t launch.

Peaceful River Valley.

Gihren appears on higher ground, his smiling growing wider. “How naughty… you’ve been hiding this power from me?” Aina’s blades split in two. “The angelic arts. Few have even reached this level… what a waste…” “This time… you will burn! Council of 14, Art of the Fourth Mage!” Aina’s entire body became a harness for the energy building ahead of her. The energy soon became that of fire. “Hell’s Gaze!”

A perfect beam of fire is directed at Gihren, who has no choice to react rather than dodge. Using his sword, Gihren deflects the beam, which splits into multiple beams. One burst clips the front section of the Dauntress, going clean through the barrier. Another beam burns through the Earth, eventually destroying the watchtower. The last beam skims across the water, heading for the boat.

Realizing this, Madara activates his mangekyou sharingan. It was then he noticed something odd about the beam. Jinnosuke grabbed his shoulder, trying to pull him. “We’ve gotta get out of here, damn it!” “Something’s not right!” Madara replied, “I can deflect it!” As the beam hit the boat, the energy began to disperse. Suddenly, the beam changed again. It was too late to do anything… the beam burned Jinnosuke and Madara, and completely destroyed the boat.

All Tsukiyomi could do… was watch… she fell to her knees, crying out for her father…

Aina appears in front of Gihren, the difference between their speeds has become dramatically different. Still, Gihren manages to dodge the first and second swings, although it took more effort. Gihren’s dodging forced him into an opening, and Aina went right into it. Gihren managed to sidestep the attack enough to avoid a fatal blow. At that moment, Aina was cut across her stomach…

As she started to fall, she could see her lover… Drake… he was calling out to her. Gihren appeared, eclipsing Drake, still wearing that grin. He walked past her, placing a hand on her shoulder, as if to pass by her in death… She was bleeding profusely from her large wound. She saw his face one more time… before falling to the ground.

Numerous soldiers appeared suddenly, aiming their rifles at Gihren. “Put your sword down, now!” Ordered one of the officers. Gihren stuck it in the ground, and stepped away. “No Earth style techniques detected, its safe.” Reported another soldier. One of the soldiers moved in to secure the sword. “Careful you don’t touch that, sir. That blade is laced with an anti-coagulant.”

One of the other soldiers rushed to Aina, but she was already dead… laid out as a fallen angel… The soldier tending Aina removed her helmet. Both her hair and eyes were violet. She gave Gihren an angry glare. Gihren simply smiled at her as he looked back at Aina’s corpse.

The rain began to fall. Gihren’s armor retracts, its power stored away into a bracelet, which Gihren removes. He had been wearing the robes of a Samurai. He raises his hands in the air, saying, “I have no intention to resist.”

The soldier tending Aina was moved by Aina’s last expression of pain. As the soldier closed Aina’s eyes, a tear escaped both eyes. She looks up to see Gihren being placed in handcuffs made to suppress a mages powers. “Gihren Yashima,” stated one of the soldiers, “You are under arrest for using Class 10 mage skills, do you have anything you wish to say?” “I acted in self-defense, I won’t say anything more without my attorney.”

Yajin, D’iare

“We now return to News International!” Said some male announcer on the tv screen as the name “New International” appeared. A female reported with brown hair and brown hair appears in front of a courthouse. The steps were lined with press and police.

“Here in D’iare, on the steps of the D’iare City Courthouse, the world-renowned mage, Gihren Yashima, stands trail. It was just two weeks ago when Gihren Yashima was arrested for the use of Class 10 mage spells, a level of magic illegal in peacetime. Gihren claimed he used the spells to defend himself in against Aina Hitoshi, another world-renowned mage, child prodigy, and student to Gihren Yashima.”

Clips of the battle between Aina and Gihren are played out. Most of them are where Gihren has the upper hand.

“The battle between these two rocked Gendou Island, measuring as high as 8.0 on the Richter scale. According to the statement issued by the Gendou Naval Forces, a Harbinger assault chopper was lost in that conflict, and severe was damage done to the Dauntress, a navel carrier of the Gendou Maritime Corpse.”

A picture Madara and Jinnosuke appear as their names are announced.

“Thirty-seven people were killed in the cross fire, among them was General Madara Uchiha, commander of the Gendou Defense Army and leader to the Uchiha clan, and General Jinnosuke Yashima, commander of Estlemere’s Self-Defense Army, leader of the Yashima clan, and distant cousin to the defendant.”

A picture of some senate meeting is shown, followed by a flotilla of navel and air warships near Estlemere.

“Despite General Jinnosuke Yashima and Gihren Yashima being distant relatives, and having no prior relationship with each other to speak of, the continental nation of Roma is in an uproar over the death of one of their generals, and is demanding reparations. It was argued in negotiations that a citizen of Gendou was ultimately responsible for the general’s death. Since then, Roma has placed an ever-growing patrol around Estlemere. Its quite possible Roma is preparing for a war.”

[D’iare, Odin, Cyber-Ninja] (Yajin, D’iare)

It had to be one of those nights. Cold, rainy… She was out in the middle of nowhere. Some nameless outskirt of Yajin. She kept checking a crumpled sheet of paper, pulling on her cloak to shield herself from the rain. following the directions written on it. She comes to a bar, a half-working neon sign reads ‘The Lucky Pair.’

Tsukiyomi slowly walks in, lifting the hood off of her cloak. She heads over to the bartender and shows him a picture. He points her over to the dark corner of the bar. She heads over to a table. A man is there, laying his chair against the wall, a half-used cigarette slowly burning in the tray. Before she can say anything, the man leans forward. He was a young man. He had a moderate build, black hair and eyes. On the back of his right hand was a tattoo of the kanji ‘end.’

With that hand, he reached out and put out his cig. “Tsukiyomi Uchiha. This is an honor.”

Tsukiyomi sat down. She pulled her cloak tighter, as if bundling up.

“What can I do for the new leader of the Uchiha?”
“I need your help.”
“That much is obvious.”
“My father’s death wasn’t an accident… I need your help investigating his murder.”

It was one of those nights. Cold and rainy, he was in some nameless outskirt of Yajin which was unfamiliar to him. He was following the young heiress of the Uchiha which he was a member of, but masked his presence so she couldn't be completely sure if she was being followed or not. She comes to a bar, a half-working sign reads 'The Lucky Pair.'

Suigetsu slowly followed her into the bar, lifting the hood off of his own cloak. He heads over to the bartender and shows him a picture of her. He points him towards the dark corner of the bar. Suigetsu heads towards the table, a man was with her, laying his chair against the wall, a half-used cigarette slowly burning in the tray. He was a young man. He had a moderate build, black hair and eyes. On the back of his right hand was a tattoo of the kanji ‘end.’

After noticing the man's appearance, he goes closer and puts a hand on the table. "Tsukiyomi Uchiha. I've been following you."

Suigetsu took a nearby chair and put it infront of the table. He sat down and reached a hand out towards the man.

"And you are?She and I already know each other. I was aware she was meeting a contact in an outskirt of Yajin, but thats about it."

"Name's Odin." The young man said. "You?"
"Eh, this is Suigetsu. He's someone I know."
"Boyfriend?"
"No, nothing like that."

"Well now, I'll say this much..." Odin shook the Suigetsu's hand with his left hand. The wrist pops open, revealing a chakra sensor. "You're lousy at sneaking around..." The wrist closes back up, and Odin smiles. "How can I help?"

Suigetsu smirked slightly at the conversation he heard between Odin and Tsukiyomi, as well as when Odin revealed the chakra sensor on his left wrist.

"I wonder what made you think i'm her boyfriend...Odin?" Suigetsu put his hand back to his side. Suigetsu leans forward, remembering the chakra sensor and why he followed Tsukiyomi. "Honest i see, although i'm apparently good at sneaking around without being noticed by someone without a chakra sensor..." Implying he was seemingly not noticed by Tsukiyomi as he followed her.

He smiled at Odin slightly while glancing at Tsukiyomi. "How you can help..?Well, that depends on Tsukiyomi here..since she is the new leader of the Uchiha." The smile leaves his face immediately after. "Besides, her father Madara Uchiha, made me promise to watch her if anything should happen to him.."

He looked towards Tsukiyomi. "And i'm not one to break promises, with a superior who i respect no less..It doesn't matter what you say, i'm here to stay."

[Gendou,Lazuli,Vampire](Gendou,D'iare)

(1 month ago)[or however long ago battle took place]
Now looky here they've gone and wrecked my home. No matter, I've needed... a change anyway. However, looking into this may entertain me in the mean time.
A tall dark figure arises from the rubble of his "home", broken coffin smashed into firewood. Suddenly his silhouette shatters and from this, the pieces form into bats and they all fly in a single direction.

(now)(Gendou,D'iare)
A dark cloud hovers over a grand estate. As the cloud lowers you can see it isn't a cloud, but a swarm of bats. Slowly, the bats go to the roof and form back to the form of a man. Gihren, out on the balcony noticed something was not quite right. He looks around and nothing seems hostile, so he goes inside to pour him a drink, midway through he suddenly stops, spins and launches a lance of energy from his hand. The spell hit Lazuli square in the chest and the figure was rend asunder.
"Well, that is just no way to treat a guest." Lazuli said as he drops from above. Impressed at the mages speed, he had just put the illusion up, "I want answers, and compensation."

[D’iare, Tsukiyomi] (Yajin, D’iare)
[D’iare, Odin, Cyber-Ninja] (Yajin, D’iare)

Tsukiyomi simply sighed, then gave a slight nod in approval of Suigetsu's vow.

"I believe Gihren manipulated the fire attack that destroyed my father's boat."
"I assume you have some kind of evidence?"
"Yes. I saw my father as he tried to save everyone on that boat. He tried to deflect the fire beam with his chakra."
"Against Class 13 magic? That's impossible, even for someone of Madara's level."
"It worked for a few seconds, but then it failed, and my father was killed."
"I saw that battle. That girl used an old spell from the Council of 14, a group of mages who mastered a particular element. Madara wouldn't have been able to do anything with that kind of attack. I guess this means he was tricked into believing he could save the ship."
"Why else would Gihren have deflected the beam when he could've dodged it?"
"The other question is how? According to sensors, Gihren was at Class 10. That Aina was at 13. That's a vast difference in strength."
"I don't know. That's where I need your help."
"Fine then. I'll ask around. Get your stuff together, pack light, meet me at the teleport site in an hour."

Odin took the used cigerette and stuffed it in his pocket. He grabbed his coat and got ready to head out.

"I'll send you the bill after this is over, Miss Uchiha..."

Tsukiyomi nodded again. Odin left the bar. She sat back in her chair, deep in thought.

[D'iare, Gihren, Mage] (Gendou, D'iare)

Gihren lowered his hand once he saw the intruder was a vampire. He smiled and turns to finish pouring his drink.

"My apologies, I thought you were an assassin. There have been so many attempts on my life, and these guards it seems can't do a thing. However..."

The leftover energy in Lazuli's body changes, and puts his vampire heart under intense pressure. Gihren's face becomes darkened, revealing himself as rather fearsome.

"Don't toy with me, dirt. What do you want?"

[Gendou, Lazuli, vampire](Gendou, D'iare)

I really do hope I haven't bit off more than I can chew.
"My good mage, there is no need for hostilities. This is simply the first I've been able to contact you with all the press your 'display' caused. You see your little spat with that girl tore up my entire estate. If nothing else that justifies an answer or two, like, just what happened with that beam, I'm no expert at magic, but my specialty in illusions allows for a... keener sense of deception" Lazuli haughts as he takes a step forward stopping just before the threshold, the moonlight catches his features well enough to reveal a red eye, and a hint of a fang, giving him a rather impressive look.

[Nice.]

[D'iare, Gihren, Mage] (Gendou, D'iare)

Gihren released his grip on Lazuli's heart. He leaned back and enjoyed his drink, his grin reappearing.

"I'm sorry you lost your house, but it wasn't my fault. It was that fool, Aina's fault. She was the one who used the spell, I simply defended myself. I suppose I could tell you where she is, but I don't think she'd be of much use since she's dead."

The phone rings, Gihren answers. Lazuli could hear the faint voice of a man saying, "The verdict is in."

"Wonderful!" Gihren gently replied. He hung up the phone and headed towards the door. "The jury has just found me innocent, so I must be off. This ugly affair has lasted long enough." Gihren opens the door and steps through, as he's about to close it, he looks back at Lazuli one more time. "The door is downstairs at the front of the house. Should you return, you'd be wise to use it instead of the window. Have a good night."

Gihren closes the door, ignoring anything Lazuli has to say.

[Gihren doesn't have any reason to trust you, if you're wanting to join up with him. And until then, he'll treat you as though you're an enemy...]

[thx, O.o nice post, and no not planning that quite yet /evilgrin]

[Gendou, Lazuli, Vampire] (Gendou, D'iare)

Actually he makes quite a good point, that Aina was there wasn't she. I really should ask her, so what if shes dead, that didn't stop me. But first I must meet up with an old friend. Lazuli looks down, chuckles, the "wise mage" failed to realize he didn't invite me in, then he tells me to leave, oh well the less he knows about vamps the better.
Turning around Lazuli runs and jumps. In mid-air he forms his bat swarm once again, on his way out, he swoops over a guard frightening him some.
Ah a nice little pick-me-up. [Lazuli actually feeds off fear he causes in others]

(elsewhere on Gendou)
A stooped old man is sifting through a graveyard trying his best to be stealthy.
Lazuli forms behind him and stays quiet.
An arm shoots up and grabs the old man's arm, the holding arm is obviously rotted. The old man screams in fright as another one grabs his leg.
"Navokin, a word," Lazuli asks as he enjoys the taste of his fright, the arms disappear with a wave of Lazuli's hand.
"What now, 'old friend'" Navokin spat.
"simple I need your talents and I think you'll enjoy it," Lazuli gets an evil grin, "I need to speak with Aina." The shock and curiousity written all over Navokin's face...

[D'iare, Gihren, Mage] (Gendou, D'iare)

Gihren approaches a high-speed jet. One of his aids comes to him just before he boards the plane.

"I have the report sir."
"Go on."
"They're ready, Gihren-sama."
"Tell them to wait until the trail is over."
"Understood, sir."

With that, Gihren boarded the jet, and left for Yajin.

[Gendou, Lazuli, vampire](Gendou, D'iare)

"NO, forget it," Navokin scythed, "everytime I do a 'favor' or help in any way, I always regret it, and now you're telling me to bring a dead mage back, who destroyed half the island, just so you can have a nice chat." Navokin by this point was nearly ranting. Lazuli just grinned and bore the onslaught, "Nothing, quite so dramatic, Navokin, you only need to contact her spirit so I can ask a few questions," Lazuli stated, trying to put on his most innocent face and failing miserably, "if nothing else I'd like to know more about her, maybe see what she was buried with, and I need to contact her heir, though I guess I could do that part."
"Give me one good reason to help you", Navokin asked.
"I'll kill you if you don't," Lazuli said matter-of-factly.
"A vampire trying to kill a necromancer, that is funny," Navokin whips out of his jacket a small crossbow with a wooden bolt and a phial of Holy Water, but it seems rather odd. "I know each of your vampiric weaknesses, so you can just try it."
This is starting to get irritating.
"First of all I have no plans on killing you, second what is in that phial of holy water, and third I wanna make a deal." Lazuli said, only a glimmer of his worry passing over his face before regaining it cocky composure.
"Okay, for now, to answer your questions though, the Holy water is mixed with anointing oil and alchemist's fire, I call it Holy Flame, and what deal is this." Navokin answered lowering the crossbow a little.
"A trade, your services, and a little something you'll appreciate, some of my blood." Lazuli stated looking very serious instead of just plain cocky. The gleam in Navokin's eyes told Lazuli that at least Navokin was very very interested.

he was trying to get rid of the horrifying memory he had, the wall of water might even as tall as the building, the water that hit his face pounding it to his face, the earthquake... then the death light that took away his life... his world... his soul...

"why.."

he was alone, the room is quiet, silent creeps over from every inches. no presence of other being on the house.

empty

just himself there in the room, in the house....

Suigetsu looked at Odin as he left the bar. He looked back at Tsukiyomi as soon as Odin was out of his sight, she seemed to be deep in thought.

"Gihren Yashima, distant relative of Jinnosuke Yashima who your father knew, but i'm sure you already know that.."

Suigetsu sighed, they really need to investigate things involving Gihren and the incident at the Coast of Lazarus. Suigetsu straightened his sitting posture.

"It is strange that Gihren could deflect Class 13 magic, i cannot think of how this could happen. Anyway, i got my stuff together, what about you?"

Suigetsu gets up from his chair, still looking at Tsukiyomi.

"Tsukiyomi, still in deep thought? If so, its understandable considering the incident.."

"YOUR blood, your BLOOD, ooh, dear, with vampire blood..." Navokin mumbles. Suddenly he stands as straight as possible and says, "fine I'll ATTEMPT it, but she was a powerful mage, if she don't want to talk, she won't, not to mention, from the looks of things, something might stop us, but for your blood, I'll try." Lazuli was pleased, he was one step closer to this interesting riddle.
"Mind you I'll need some materials first. Personal effects, piece of clothing, ahh... well, you know the drill. You take care of that while I set up the circle and components." Lazuli sighed knowing it couldn't be so easy, now where did that girl come from exactly?
Lazuli takes off as Navokin hurries back to his "lab", both excited and dreading the next few days.

"thanks, get the bill to my house" he then jumped dwon the chair and rushed out while wearing his drenched raincoat, the outer appearance maybe drench but the inner is warmth and dry...

"teleport point, maybe i'm not to late...."

[Gendou, Lazuli, Vampire](Gendou, D'iare, Library)

I wonder just how I look standing here, I at least find this rather silly.
Lazuli chuckled as he thought this, however, the library did hold the most information. Lazuli was standing amid the hall of records, it wasn't difficult to get in, a simple illusion of a Librarian did the trick, unfortunately it is a library and mages are all around. I may need to do this quickly, Mage Licenses, "A... Ai... Aina, wha- what!?" Lazuli exclaimed as he opened the file, there was a license all right. but everything on file had large black smears over anything important. None of which legible.

Somebody is covering something up, this is getting irksome. The only info he did get was a photo, date of most recent license, and the name.
"Okay, different approach, obituary." Lazuli stepped over to the obituaries. Hmm, lessee let's start about 3 weeks ago. Lazuli pulls out the appropriate microfilms, walks over to reader and sits down. "Boring, boring, nope, no, no, wait yes." Lazuli eyes are at rapt attention to the screen. "Student of Gihren, powerful loss to magic community in general, yadda yadda, possibly responsible for the partial destruction of Gendou island. Lived with Gihren for many a year.

Hmm, that might be it, one of Gihren's estates, no doubt well guarded. Lazuli got up and returned the films, but intuition told him to keep going so Lazuli picked out next set of films. "Perhaps I'm just being ridiculous, ahh well," Lazuli sat down and in a matter of minutes... Lazuli suddenly looked very proud of himself, intuition has yet to serve him wrong, for on the screen was an obituary of someone named Drake, and Aina's name was mentioned a time or two.

Smiling, he enters the room, take the key attached to its hole on the door and slams the door. He is inside of a Clean Room, Surprised seeing the condition of the room, Renma go to the bed. He fall on the bed, Feeling tired of his journey, he starts sleeping soundly without taking off his Travel robe.

[Welcome aboard ^_\]

[D'iare, Gihren, Mage] (Yajin, D'iare)

Gihren sat properly in his now very familiar seat at the defense table. He had that grin on his face, unphased by the tension in the courtroom. There were many people on one side of the courtroom were staring at him angrily, most likely expecting a guilty verdict. Gihren ignored them, and instead, watched as jury entered the courtroom.

One the jury was seated, the judge recieved the letter. He than began with the proceedings...

"Ladies and Gentlemen of the jury, have you reached a verdict."
"We have your honor."
"On the charge of murder, how do you find?"
"We find the defendant, Gihren Yashaima, not guilty."

The court was immediately in an uproar. As the judge and court officers restrained the crowds, Gihren's grin grew a little wider. Once things had settled down a little, the judge continued.

"On the charge of illegal use of Class 10 magic, how do you find?"
"We find the defendant not guilty."

The crowds grew angrier as expected. As courtofficers began forcing people out, Gihren stood up. He had been wearing restraints designed for a mage. A court officer came over and released the very large restraints.

"Mr. Yashima," said the judge, "You are free to go."
"Thank you, your honor," Gihren said with a happy smile, "Another day in this chair and I might've gone mad."

After making his way past the crowd and media, he climbed into his limo and left for the airport. A young woman sitting across from him appeared from the shadows, a sadistic smile on her fact.

"Congrats on your win."
"Remind me once this world is mine... to replace those aweful seats in the courthouse."
"Yes, Gihren-sama."
"Have they begun to move?"
"Yes, I've sent the orders."
"Wonderfull... Now... the war begins."

[Off the coast of Gendou]

The Dauntress departs from port. She sets out for the open ocean, heading to join up with the counterpatrols on the Gendou/Estlemere border. As the captain is about to give additional orders, something hits the ship.

Out of nowhere, a tidal wave rolls in on the Dauntress' side. As the ship is carried into the air, and tilts sideways, the captain stares the sidewindow in horror. A figure made of water and demon-like eyes appears. The huge figure brings down his arm, smashing the carrier to pieces. The wave loses its power, and crashes down on the debris... the water is calm afterwards... there are no survivors.

[Roma, Sandra, Assassin] [West Berlin, Roma]

The massive structure was in the middle of the sea. It was mostly landing pads and gun turrets, but fifteen times larger than a nimitz carrier. The Berlin's cargo containers were underwater, ready to be lifted out at a moments notice. A large supply plane prepares to land, lining itself with the runway.

"This is unit 090, requesting permission to land."
"Approved, you are clear to land zero-nine-o. So hows the weather in Roma?"

As soon as the plane touches ground, the contents of its cargo exploded, taking a healthy chunk of the runway with it. The plane's explosion rocks the Berlin, and firecrews scramble to contain the damage.

Watching the destruction with pleasure, a young woman concealed in the shadows of a contianer stashes a detonater in her clothing.

[Yokun, Keyba, Wolf Demon] (Yokunga, Yokun)

A young boy runs at high speeds on the slopes of Yokunga, heading towards the shore. His hair and tail are white, his eyes are blue. On either hand are metal claws, and wore a simple vest and shorts. Keyba was special. A white wolf demon is born every hundred years. Though he is destined to be the leader of his clan, he runs from his family, heading towards the shore. There is only one thought on his mind...

"They don't know what they're doing! I must stop this war!"
