What are TV/Computer monitors called?

| I'm looking for a computer monitor that can hook up to a standard DVD player. What are those kinds called? I'm not interested in the ones that can play cable or whatever. Just something I can hook up to my PC and also hook up to a seperate DVD player. |

Never heard of those...but I do know I can connect my TV to the PC and the DVD player at the same time... |

Wouldn't you just need certain wires? I never heard of this either and my computer can do the same thing (I think), too, Kay! XD

| There really is no monitor that can do that. All you need is the proper wires from your local electronics store and you can hook up your monitor to your dvd player. I've heard doing that is pretty irritating though |

There are TV's that let you do that. (We have one in the Tech Lab, only thing is it's a big screen TV that cost around 5 grand.). Like Kay said, you can get a TV with a monitor hook up and that also have Audio/Video jacks. The TV's that can do this usually have an option on the remote that let you change between settings (PC, Video, etc.).    |

Actually, most TVs can hook up to the PC as long as your PC's video card has A/V jacks or S-Cable jacks. There's also a VGA A/V Cable if your PC doesn't has any of those jacks mentioned above but those are pretty expansive |

The newest innovations....tv connected to a certain electronics via radio frequency.....aka bluetooth... but still in its infancy though.

umm there are Lcd's that are tvs andcomputers at the same time i know what you are talking about but i cvan not think of the actual term for it i see a commercial for them all the time where i live but as far as i know its based by the company that made them like sony then some other name followd after it  |

Get a TV to monitor signal converter. I recommend anything from KWORLD. Personally I'm using a KWORLD 1440 for my 19" monitor to watch TV in my dorm. I'd recommend the 1680 or higher series though, they look pretty good even with RCA (the yellow white red cables) connections. Personally I highly recommend this one It plugs in using a standard VGA cable to your computer monitor (or HD television). However, if your screen is a TV, then all you should need is an RCA (also known as composite) cable.
