Help, Yahoo Messenger sends unforgivable links!

sorry if my english is bad...but then.....continue reading! I think many of you know this... this is when you access a url sent by your friend UNCONSIOUSLY (because of the virus he/she got ) then you will be infected by it too... i almost got the virus, but thank god i deleted it before it activates.... anyways... some of my friends got this virus...how do you disinfect it?!? care to help, people? |

you have any anti-virus installed? try using your installed antivirus, to remove that virus, at least, your anti-virus should be up to date.  |

| I recomend AVG anti-virus free edition, Ad-aware and spybot. with these three you can clean up 90% of bad things like these. |

i think knight is correct.. i recommend too install the AVG anti-virus software to clean up your computer... by the way are you troubled to downloads? here's the site for free downloads Downloads.Com  |

At times... Anti-Virus scans cant detect a virus so i try to find it manually... If thats the case I'll - Try to find details of the virus in the net (and follow their instructions on removing the virus) If it still exists ill... - uninstall YM - scan in Safe Mode - If not found by the scans.Ill look for any traces of YM (folders,files) and delete them - reinstall and run YM - If all else fails (and the virus still exists)... time for the Last resort  Kneel Before the Great and Benevolent Cow! |
