Shuffle - Memories: like it or hate it?

Well, I just finished watching Shuffle - Memories and I am wondering what everyone thought about the series. Here is my thoughts and I would like to share with you. I am having a love-hate relationship with the series because one hand, the plot was so vain. One likable guy with 5 different girls who are devoted to him no matter what. I think 99.9999% of male don't have such a problem in real life. And what's up with all these cooking competitions among the girls? OMG if I eat that much everyday, I will surely turn into a pig instead of princess charming. On the other hand, there are a lot of emotional development on each of the characters which I found irresistable. I think that really add to the story. The character development was really the only saving grace about the series. Finally, I really like the 2 seconds lesbian scene between Kaede and Sia in the closing of the very last episode. That was totally worth it. ;)__ Comment? anyone?  |

I believe that's what they're trying to express in this anime ^^ . The theme of course is not that clear , but the anime did not pin point those at all (Like Galaxy Angel do , it's theme is very weak but it's trying to give humor instead of the storyline) I like the show 'cause of that factor ^^ , romantic , humor and drama (Is it there?) . |

mmm, i did not watch shuffle memories as in wikipedia it is described as just the same content as shuffle rearranged, except the last ep... i did watch shuffle! and i liked it alot, (i'm a girl) i didn't mind the harem theme, the thing that makes anime fun is that things that aren't realistic are made to seem possible. i don't remember much specific from the show because it wasn't super memorable but it was enjoyable when i watched it. i'd like to ask you though is memories worth watching...after the original, is it still engaging or too much of the exact same thing? |

@ Ben-san - Well Shuffle Memories is kinda like an alternate retelling of the original series. More like a "director's cut" you can say. The premice of Memories was to include scenes that might have been in the original. If the other girls were the choice Rin-kun made instead of Asa-sempai. The game had multiple endings so Memories is the creators way to satisfy them. Also like you mentioned the 12 episodes expanded on each characters personalities & emotional aspects. All in all Memories is just a way to express the characters more deeper & include extra scenes. @ Katt-san - Like i said above...if you want more character development than you should watch Memories....but if you already seen the original than you already know the main storyline. Memories is basically a fan-series....made for fans of the series....who wanted more.  |

I watched the first few episodes of shuffle memories but then i got bored. I liked the normal series though, even if there won't ever be an Harem-Anime able to compete with Love Hina (so shuffle wasn't able either) xD Quote by me: "Since I started to watch Shuffle, i see boobs everywhere O__O" Yeah, I loved the boobie-factor.  |

| suffle! is beter than Memories crazy show it pulls you in the storyline starts weak but gets stronger ti got to the point were i couldent stop watching i had to see what hapend i love the show ^_^\/ |

Eps 12 is worth watching and the OPs & Ed ea of the VA has a ED and OP song my fave is Kaede i think its Yuuko Goto...? i forgt  |

Thank you everyone for your input. Izumo: Thanks for the comment. I have never seen the original series before so Shuffle - memories is a first for me. All in all, I would rate it 4 out of 5. |
