iPod Nano Survives Wash

My iPod Nano (2GB black) was recently thrown in with the laundry. After a short stay in the 100°F oven and an overnight cool-down, I plugged it in and it appears to be fully functional. The display has a ghostly fog behind it, but is readable. I call this damn good engineering; as well as the advantage of solid-state low voltage hardware. |

hah it's just the Nano that is good since it uses Solid State memory aka no moving parts like a hard drive it's all flash. An ipod Video would not of survived that |

Wow... that's an engineering miracle!... awesome! I have an Ipod with the same description, (2gb black). And I really don't wanna try if it resists the same conditions as Gendou-san's... |
Re: iPod Nano Survives Wash

woah ipod nano has that resistance? I should try my ipod nano putting it in the laundry too, for cleaning! harhar |
Re: iPod Nano Survives Wash

they said it'll survive as long as you don't turn it on again [goes for all electronics] but not really sure about that though... ^^" hehe~ *insert epic picture here* |

LOL reminds of when my GBC (game boy color) dropped from 2nd story stair railing at my friend's house. Except for a busted battery case it worked fine. and that flash memory thing, You think that would work with a Wii aswell since it has flash memory? |

Wow, that's a miracle. Maybe I should try that...nah! Some technicians say that a gadget will work perfectly fine (or not-so-perfectly fine) as long as corrosion (or rusting...) doesn't set in. But I'm not sure 'bout it...

Geez, my cell phone doesn't even hold up that well! My experience with iPods has been that the battery usually dies before anything else goes wrong with it. I've got a friend who dropped hers into a fully operational port-o-potty...is that better or worse than accidentally chucking it into the laundry? |

Cool! I have an iPod Nano too, but it's silver (so... plain...) and has only 1 GB. And the damn earphones are acting up. The music only comes out of one ear! It sucks! I went to Wal-Mart (which is right up the street from my house! XD), and seperately, they're about $30! I got some cheap ones for $.85... a temporary replacement until I get enough money. Can anyone point me to a place with cheaper iPod Nano earphones?! So, yours survived with minimal damage? Lucky! Knowing my luck, if my precious iPod went into the washer, it would never be the same again. I shudder to think of it... I was a person back then. I could smile and laugh and... feel. All the colors... all the hurt... all the laughing... it all went away. All of them. They used words like brain damage... and cerebral trauma. But even then I understood. I was safe... safe from the bad thing. |
