So anyone considered freezing themselves after ...
Link | by qwe on 2007-04-29 00:05:51
So anyone considered freezing themselves after they die? I'm probably gonna do it just in case of that 1% chance of me getting revived and live another (possibly longer) life. Any one else considered doing this?

No. As I have put it to many people succinctly: "No one gets out of the world alive." (except the three biblical characters, of course, but you aren't it.^__^) It is not meant to be a depressing thought just simply a fact of life.

I probably wouldn't do it if I was already dead. But if I was young and was hit with a disease or near fatal injury I consider it, but only if I had a really good reason to need to be that desperate to come back.

The next witty thing I think of and remember will likely end up here.

I would if in a draw I was killed first. I'd like to come back and settle our differences.

Nope. When I die, I want to be cremated, then have the ashes put into firework powder and set off. That would be magical ><

I really only want one chance at life. If they gave me a second one it just wouldn't be the same.

I agree with Wolf. One life is all I want, either I fail at it or get somewhere with it.

Besides, with the way the world is now, I don't really want to live to see a distant future.

Nope. Even if it could magically bring me back to life, I wouldn't.
If it's my time to leave, then I'd be happy to meet my Maker.

@Eureka: I like your idea a lot. The thought of being worm food does not comfort me even after death.

@Darksamurai: I also agree with you. The future is too uncertain and by the way the world looks now, I am betting on a worse future. And I wouldn't want to be there. (not much faith on my part. o__O)

I probably wouldn't want to live in another era that i probably won't catch on anyway. when my era goes out, i don't wanna end up like someone's grandparents that don't understand the newest tech or whatever.

LOLL~!

hmm...i probably wouldn't...because knowing that[right now] it is impossible for us to be revived due to the fact that our cells will definitely get damaged and that there isn't anything we can do with our damaged cells...err...i wouldn't wanna try...

haha...and also...that would definitly be cold..O.o....brrr...

BUT~ if i was a frog...[forgot wut type of frog it was, tree frog was it? O.o..]..that can be revived after being frozen..then it'd be fun to try~!! definitely~! XDDDDDD

=DD intresting!

I decided long ago how I want to be treated after I die. Too bad I haven't tell it anybody, so if Id suddenly die now, be sure to inform somebody xD (I shouldn't joke with death >:( I COULD die today)
But anyway, I want to cremated like Eureka, and then I want my ashes to be strewn in Päijänne (lake). The way my grandfather also want's to die when the time comes. That is the only place in this whole world I feel somewhat peace ^____^ Good place to rest.

I don't really want to get frozen.
Seems weird. If my time in this world is up, so be it.
Besides... wouldn't you like to see me fly around in heaven? XD

lol, that's only if you believe in heaven. I guess if heaven exists, I'd be missing out on a lot huh.

@fallen Angel: there are many insects and amphibians (spelling) whose bloods are natural anti-freeze. So even if they get frozen, it won't burst all the cells. That's probably what the scientists will do to you if you were to be frozen. That is, to pump your body full of some sort of anti-freeze. Yum!

Hmmm...
Frozen after death for revivification...
But wait!
Don't we just re-spawn after a few seconds with the basic weapons packet? ^-^

Ok, no, I would rather just live forever in my robot body ^-^

And if I die before that and the respawn points are broken, well, I really have no desire to poke around with freezing and revivification, I'd rather just let my body return to the earth and live only once.

Oh, and food for thought --
Where would you, your soul, be in the mean time?

The thought of suspended animation gives rise to the question whether technology will be advanced enough to actually revitilize you without cracking any organs or arteries from the thawing. It will be a difficult case nonetheless, but as for me, I would rather live my life rather than see the outcome of countless strife and horror that is humanity.

Freezing myself in a container doesn't sound very pleasant. Who knows what they'll do with my body if my children can't afford to keep it frozen. I'd rather be buried, but i'm scared of necrofiliacs(*sp*). You know, people who like to have fun with dead bodies....
So i guess gettin' burned into ashes would be a better choice. I heard they do this thing now where you get cremated and then your ashes are put into cement. Then they mold the cement into like some shape to be used as coral for fish. Pretty awesome if you wanna "Live" underwater.

So I drove into a parking lot one time and saw this person pull into a handicap parking spot. When you think handicap, you think wheelchair and whatever, right? So it just ticked me off when I saw the guy come out of the car perfectly fine. So then I ran him over.

Freezing my body after my death....no way.
I want my body buried after my death, let my body become one with the soil, give food to microorganism and invertebrates, and give fertility to the plant that might live above my grave....etc... at least, i still give something useful after my death...wehehe....
