I may be an Idiot, but what is a Buddy List?

Cheers, I am a noob yet not ...OK Noobish nature is claimed and embraced by me. I wondered, while looking at my account, what is a Buddy List? I seem to be on two lists without knowing (yet somehow honored) whose list I was on. Could some kind soul lead me on the path of enlightenment? I happen to be such a bonehead that I somehow put myself on my own buddy list, and fear that by removing myself from my own list that I would start to feel alienated and bitter towards me. My searches on Buddy and Buddy list were unproductive, maybe it is so obvious! Well, not to me said the "fat Maroon Divan". . MYSOFA

The Buddy List is just a list of people who you've added so that you can quickly select their name to send them a PM (as opposed to typing in the username or having to look it up every time.). When you go into someone's profile and click 'Add Buddy' they are added to your list and when you go to send a PM, there will be a drop down menu for you to easily select their name.    |

Than You Jonathon. I would like to also know how I got onto two other buddy lists, I don't know how to trace (or that I should know ) who thinks that well of me since I didn't do that (although I would like to in the future). Confusion, will be my epitath. G.Lake MYSOFA

There's no way to trace who has added you to their lists. It's all kept private. If they have added you then I would assume they will send a PM since that's the only real purpose to the buddy list. |
