is life good par nature ?

we live in world embedded with problems. everyone lives because they are force to do so. the prove is that we must eat or suffer the biological consequences. life is just a futile struggle against the unknown death. is life worth it ?

god be with me

i'd say yes.

"good" and "worth it" are quite subjective words, making this a very subjective question.
it is safe to say that every individual life form will die.
all currently living species have some "drive" to live, otherwise they would have become extinct long ago.
for the individual, the struggle is futile on the order of one lifetime.
for the species, the struggle is not futile on the order of millions of years.

it seems to me that suffering is the price of happiness.
not sure how that relates but i felt like sharing it! :P

It could stem from a fear of death or rather an instinct not to die. We don't know exactly what happens to us when we die (You'd have to contact spirits or revive the dead to find that out.) so we fear it, this fear drives us to keep living as long as we can. Death is also something we can't reverse, it's not like we can try death, see what it's like and then come back if we don't like it. So those who think life is worth it are those who make the most of the life their given and do what they can before they die.

Whether life is "worth it" or not is up to you I would imagine. It depends on what you've got. If you've got a good life, wife and kids, good paying job and so on then living may be well worth it.

If your belief is that there nothing after death, then what you say is not far from the truth. But since we don't know THAT for sure, I would be willing to bet that there is life after death. I think the alternative is just too boring. If this is what I believe, then everything that happens in this life is simply a stage of a bigger life. I can choose to sit and chew my cud until I die or I can explore this world for what it can offer.

Life is as worth it as you make it to be. It is up to you, like DarkSamurai said.

I tend to agree with Gendou that the question is subjective, and therefore beyond argument. Different people have different feelings. People can't control what feelings they have, so you can't argue something subjective.

Our desires and what we want to do with our lives our ultimately based on our feelings. If we didn't have feelings and drives we'd all just sit there until we starved to death. If you feel life is worth it, then it is, if you don't then it isn't (for you, anyway, other people will have different feelings).

IS life worth it ohoho how interesting. No it isn't honestly from an individual sense. Any happiness you will experience throughout life will more then likely is bogged down by the same amount of grief and sadness...although it does vary from person to person. The usefulness of life is more of a sociological and survival perspective then anything. We live for the people around us and the people who have yet to be. We work and strive to build a better tomorrow so that the next generation can do the same. You can think of our lives as intertwining to create a self sustaining world. If we all decided to kill ourselves today it wouldn't mean much for the survival of our race right?

Although personally I don't believe we experience a second life but whom really knows, and if we do it won't really matter if we explore this one or not since we won't remember it later on (unless you remember your past life to without you.)

So in a sense everything we do is for someone else, which makes us all pretty damn generous eh?

^^^ Thank you Ray :D

I think life is worth it. Sure we are bombarded with problems and dramas each and the next day, but everytime you wake up on the next day, you know there's something good for you during the day, whether it's your want or your need. Be positive, I know it's hard, and get on with life.

I agree with RayStorm BD
I would consider it a "silver for the price of gold" relationship. You stuggle all day and night, whether through works, school, basement, you live life for those few moments when you can feel happy. Whether the happy moments outnumber the sad ones, depends on the individual. One day, happiness seems to be winning, but the other...When those glimmers in the darkness come, it is up to the person to judge whether those fragments of contentment made it all the worthwhile.
