Sunset Riders, Captain Commando, Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, etc...

Simple, Straight-Forward, Yet fun...

In those days where were you? What were your games at those time? Do you sometimes get the itch of going back in those times so that you can could finish that game?

Forget about the PS3/XBOX360/Wii for now! Relive the past! What were those games that made you want to go to the Arcades?

(Fine... you can talk about the recent-gen Arcades if you want to)

EDIT:

The Reason for this post is due to the decreasing number of existing scroller games which I so loved in my days of yore in the Arcades... In those days everywhere you looked 3-6 games were scrollers (and majority were either shooters or fighting games from unknown companies)

I recall Splatterhouse, The very first game that actually scared the beejeezus out of me... X-Men, my first Team-scroller game... and mainly remembering the reason why I dont play fighting games at the time (Which was due to being beaten up by someone older and bigger than me...)

Oh, nice topic.
Well, back then I used to play a ton of fighting games.
I almost got hit, cause I beat some huge biker dude, and I was like in... 5th or 6th grade, and he was like 10x's my size!
He gave me a pretzel and apologized though, but we "sort of" became friends that day.
I ended up seeing him a few times until he beat meh, like "once", lol.

Well, let's see.
Besides Tekken and Capcom, there was this shooting game.
It had a blue/pink gun, and it was fun playing co-op.
There was also the classic racing games (I forget the name).
I only played it when the other spots were already filled, but other then the fighting, shooting, and racing games, there was the classic basketball games and some sort of slot machine to get more tokens. XD

That's all I remember for now.
I haven't been to an arcade in YEARS but it was fun back then!

@ DA

Blue & red gun....i assume you're talking about Lethal Enforcers..."Magnum FORCE!!!!"

Back when i was a wee lad growing up i spent quite abit of coinage on SHDMUPS...like Raiden, Strikers 1945, UN Squadron, Gradius, Tiger Heli, etc.....

Other than that i wasn't a big fighter player i did spend some time on Rival Schools, ...what else....Oh then there is Willow, Jurrasic park....the gun shooter one. And the only racing games i played were San Fransico Rush:the ROCK & Daytona USA,

Hmmm thats all i can think of.....

There is one arcade machine, I've only found five of them in my life. The game is called "Virtual On" and I still check every arcade I come across in hopes of finding it. It was a robot fighting game, one-on-one, best two out of three. The gameplay was good in my opinion.

The next witty thing I think of and remember will likely end up here.
