Rating Anime Songs

Its everyones dream to download good anime songs from gendou.com Thats why i always look at the ratings when im downloading songs that ive never heard of (but e.g. if i know the artist) and i realised that there is no song thats above 8.8 I have a simple mind, so whenever there is a new song that i really like, i always go for 9 or 10, but few weeks later, it always go down to somewhere around 8.7ish. This means that there are people who think it is worth 6 or 7 as well (to balance up to the final number). Obviously this is because people have different tastes...... but i havent given up waiting for an ultimate song that every single one of us would like, a song that we all will rate it as 9 or 10........ but your scores also depends by already watching or not watching the animes. do you guys easily rate songs at 9 and 10 or is it just me? |

Heh, some people are just like that. Well i am too, i like almost any song genre. I have Reckless Fire by Ide Yasuaki in my phone, and my friend calls me crazy for liking that song, but i don't care.  |

| I try to rate songs evenly, but I rarely bother rating songs I don't like so mine are mostly 7s and up. |

Here is my rule of thumb: Anything that I think is worth keeping/paying for I rate it a 7. Once a song reach that mark, I then apply my bio-harmonic filter (my brain) to analyze the song to see whether I would increase the rating to 8, 9, or 10. Here are some of the criteria: vocal quality lyric creativity song arrangement melody (is it a catchy tune) overall cohesiveness tempo Last but not least, emotion (does the song invoke any emotion in me) I don't easily rate a song above 7 unless it really jives with me. "God knows" is one of those songs that I really enjoy. I would rate it 10 out of 10 in terms of all the criteria I mentioned above. So far there are only a few songs that meets my standard. But then again I am a picky listener. =_=  |

if i really really really really like it i give it a 10 :D if there's only some parts that are bad i give it a 9 the rest depends...xP |

| I'm really picky with anime songs...so to give them a 10, they must have everything (Voice quality, lyric, emotion, good rhythm, nice melody, harmonies), if it doesn't then I'll give it a 7. |

same here...7 is about the lowest i rate...unless it really sucks...but i haven't came across anything too bad..well for starters i don't click on songs with suspiscious names.. 8--10 for my favourites, of course!^^  |

I only rate songs that I like, so my ratings are mostly 9. I don't think I would rate a song lower than 6, I'd feel like somehow insulting the song. I also most likely won't rate a 10 because to me that rating means a song that is perfect, and I don't think that there is a song that really deserves to be called perfect (Not that I'm saying no song is good, though. There are a lot of good songs out there, and I'm nowhere near a picky listener: I can enjoy almost any songs except if I think the song is really mediocre, but I have favorites that I enjoy more of course.)   |
