| i was just wondering what anime genre does everyone watch. i personally try watching a bit of everything (though mecha isn't really my thing and things that get too shoujo-ish aren't really for me either). |

| Well, yeah. A little bit of everything is good. Shonen is my favorite genre, but along the line, the endless battle scenes and 'always take care of your friends' might get old. Too much shojo is really bad, especially the magic girl transformation kind, but you get some good ones. Mecha is awesome, but the philosophy and religion make my brain hurt. Conedy is wonderful for stress relieving, but then you tend to lose your grip on reality. Other kinds like horror and ecchi... I think are optional. But indulging your whole life in one genre of anime isn't too healthy ^^ |

I like the Genre's: Romantic Comedy, Slice of Life, Ecchi [yes, Ecchi. <.<. because some of the best anime's are Ecchi], Shoujo-ai, and Shoujo anime.. but not too much. XD like anna said, too much Shoujo, especially the girl-magic-transform-to-defeat-bad-guys, is kind of.. corny. XD

Hmm.. In order? Well.. Action/mecha (where there is mecha.. there is always action) Comedy Love Romance and... A little bit of ecchi.. NOT TOO MUCH! or my hormones will get in the way. lolx.. jokin.. XD Hmm... And an anime gal with long pink hair.. XD -edit- Preferbally i try to watch something that have afew of the elements above... so yeah.. you can prettymuch know what kinda animes i love/watch  Claimed |

My taste is kinda same with @Inferno except for the love romance. Basically I can't stand all mushy mushy stuff in love romance, sorry hehehe....so I guess my list would be like this -Action/mecha -Comedy -Adventure -Shounen -Ecchi   |

Fave Genre: Mecha (Real Robots and Super Robots. Not just Reals.) Other genre's that come after mech: Fantasy Action Romance Samurai (I don't know where this falls under) Ninja (Same as above) Comedy A little confusing to choose right now as I need to know the official genre names. But there is only one thing I could enclose right now...my fave super genre is fiction, because completely real life things are just a little to ordinary. Though I like to see elements from slice of life (relationships, family problems) in shows of fiction.
I am an otaku. Cause I like anime a lot. Especially fiction, more specifically mecha. 'Watches hordes of Zakus blowing up' Hi to you all!! :3

Shounen ai is the best! ^__^ Yum~! But of course I like other genres as well.. Like yaoi, fantasy, supernatural, action, adventure, romance and comedy. ^^ |

Shounen is far the best genre. Mecha comes second on my list and thirdly comes Shojo/Shounen ai since, I'm a girl and I'm a sucker for cheesy romance.  ~

*ROMANCE*~forromance absolutely(BUT with a gr8 storyline or else, can't even be bothered..& no mushy stuff) *COMEDY* *Action* *Psychological* *Thriller* (hardly any animes with this genre tho :( ) any genre with an unexpected twist could be a bonus ^^  |
