Vista is estimated to go public sometime in February, though to be safe I'M guessing March or April.

As for NAV, go to www.google.com/pack and select Ad-aware SE personal edition and the Norton Internet Security Suite 2005 they have there, it's just as good as 2k4. And with that you get free updates for about 60 days.

Vista's launch is January 30th 2007. Look for it. I've been using it for the past few months and my firsthand opinion of it is high. It's a good step forward from XP but will see much larger leaps over the next couple of years as they continue to refine and add to the product.

NAV, i dont recommend use it, it hard to uninstall, i recommend use AVG free, i.ve been used it couple month, and no virus can pass it.

vista, my friend says it takes 15 Gb for system and at least 512 RAM, hum i think xp still fine.

For Willam:

Oh My God William! Did you know that Norton Anti-Virus (NAV) is one of the Symantec Products that you just said. It is included to Norton SystemWorks. And, why it is that your Norton Anti-Virus can't detect any virus? Does your Norton Anti-Virus has the Updated Virus Definition, or your computer didn't have any virus at all?

And by the way...to paopet:

Do you want to install Windows Vista in your computer?
Try to explore more informations about VISTA first before taking some ACTIONS. I just have Windows VISTA and use it to my PC. But it is not GOOD ENOUGH. It is my worst decission in purchasing that OS. May be I wait until a new Service Pack will arrive until I use that kind of OS. Try UBUNTU or stick to Windows XP.

Someone post some information about VISTA in this site. I just reply in that post. Try to search "VISTA" in Programming section.

And also, I hope that this will help (50/50 Chances). I just find it from http://www.easycracks.net. This is the product serial key of Norton Anti-Virus 2004 Professional Edition. I hope it will work.

Serial Number/Product key: VCT3 - 63XD - 6BBD - 2BBM - GBGJ - WDXD
Activation Number: 52E5-FBB3-E45B-E71D-8A5D-C6E6-542D-E30C-4E

If this fails, I will try to find another cracked product key of NAV 2004 pro.

I think that window vista is going to release tomolo is it?
But let me tell you some advice if you go for extreme gamer, for example you wanted to play the latest game "Crysis" that only support Dirext X 10, then you can go fot the window vista. But remember look at the system requirement first. i think it need at least 3.0GZ of prosesser, 512 mb ram and also graphic i am not quite sure, but it surely need one, not the build in one.So think about that.
About norton, i am not using it. I also recommand the AVG. Try to find it at www.downloads.com for free.

Before some of you guys go off about vista when you haven't tried it, both psoplayer and myself have used it and had very few issues.

-If you are an up-to-date gamer with a crazy gaming rig and always has to have the newest games, get vista

-If you use your computer for primarily video or occasional multimedia editing, I'd highly recommend vista if your programs (like audacity or anything adobe) are vista capable.

If however you don't really fit in either of those categories, then I'd either install it onto a smaller partition of you computer if you just want to try it out, or simply wait about 8 months for it to become fully supported.

(and btw, it doesn't take a 3.0Ghz processor, unless you're on a celeron (I'm running on technically a 1.8Ghz processor, but my vista's processor rating made a 4.2 -that's high btw)
