Problems w/downloading - Songs cut off halfway

Hi everyone, I'm a new member of gendou.com and I really love the site. Problem: Hi everyone, I'm a new member of gendou.com and I really love the site. Problem: I use Firefox to download music from the One Piece soundtrack list. However, every song I've tried to download so far ... 1) The download time for each song (about 3-4MB) is unbelievably long - about 30mins to even 3 hours. I use broadband and my internet is relatively fast. To download a 3MB stuff usually takes about 5 mins or less. 2) Every song I've downloaded so far gets cut off halfway. Firefox would claim the download is complete, yet I can only play 3 mins out of a 4 mins song. 3) Many times I get this error message: "something.mp3 could not be saved, because the source file could not be read. Try again later, or contact the server administrator." Don't ask me to try IE, because that browser can't even download the first bit. & It seems I'm only having these problems on Gendou, because so far every other site I've downloaded from has been successful. Why's that? Gendou has GREAT songs, and I'm really missing out if the problem persists... so if anyone has a solution, I'd truly appreciate your help! PS: The only song I've downloaded successfully so far is Believe - One Piece. That's out of 1243342 songs I've tried to download, and yeah I did wait for a few seconds and no, I don't use any download accelerator. |

sorry for unlocking this, d-ninja, but that might not be the only problem we've got. vazoze, there is a possibility that the reason why these things are happening is a result of the earthquake in taiwan. no, we're not blaming them (haha~), but, then, a song may not finish downloading because the connection got cut for a while. it has happened to me sometimes, but since we're both in dsl/broadband, we don't know if we got cut or not because it reconnects instantly. also, internet is slow everywhere because of this too. i hope you can bare with us for a while. keep trying to download your songs, though. we'll see what we can do to help. let us know what happened, wokie? ^_____^ -michiyo-

You're not the only one, I've had the same problem when the Taiwan earthquake occurred. Just try again, I guess. Btw, I know its off-topic, but the Donate : $0.00 keeps flashing. Makes me feel ever the more guilty, but my parents wouldn't pay, & I'm too young 2 have paypal & too honest to bluff abt my age. The flashing, has it gotta do with me not donating? Plz tell me, thx. |

the error ... source file could not be read ... is the result of a 404 error. you get a 404 result when you break the rules (i.e. not waiting a few seconds between download attempts). donation has nothing to do with downloading. the slow speeds you experience are likely due to network issues resulting from the earthquake.
