A Research: Need your help?
|
|
Hi ALL, I'm actually doing a research on the kind of business a person would like to set up... OR RATHER, the kind of business that YOU would like to set IF ALL INVESTMENT EXPENSES is paid for... If you're free, could you help me with the following questions? 1) What is the current trend in your country? In terms of E.g. fashion, food, music...etc. Do state the country you're from, if it's too personal... just state the zone; i.e. whether is it Asia?... 2) What kind of business you'll be interested in IF you're keen in setting up your own business? 3) What do you think is the current niche market in your country? Rules: - Do be truthful & creative in your answers...... =) - Do not spam! Thanks for your help.. Warmest Regards, - K i D P/s: if thread is a repeat, do inform me.. i will delete........

1. I think its outsourcing. I'm from Southeast Asia. 2. I have been thinking of setting up a business centering on food. The food industry is relatively adaptable compared to others. 3. Most Southeast Asian countries are rich in labor. Most of them are rich in agricultural land, too. Perhaps, businesses centering on agricultural products are best for such countries. Then again, there are many businesses centering on the production of agricultural products in most of the Southeast Asian countries. The questions lie on how efficient these businesses are and how well they can compete with the products from the international market. Hehe...I hope I helped. ^^ |

1) current trend? hmms, let's see.. ankle socks, short skirts [girls roll them up]. food is normal, i guess, anything affordable and convenient. music, well, definately not anime music or jap music. its all those english bands and chinese songs. country's malaysia and singapore, in southeast asia. 2) hees, that'll be an anime /manga cafe!! ppl can come here and relax.. read manga, watch anime, listen to the tracks~ of course, they'll have to pay hourly. ^^ 3) not very sure about current niche though, but i'll just say the largest kind of shops.. clothes shop mostly, and illegal cd /dvd shops, haha.

dude, food, fashion and games are all about trends. Not much else is subject to trends. Business can be subject to trends, but given the average age of posters here you aren't gonna get anything about that. Current trends in the US are outsourcing jobs (though some companies who did that way early are learning that some of those outsourcing jobs are better managed back in the US), more work more efficiently, and a heck of lot of accounting oversight. Really big companies like airlines and internet monsters and telecommunications are consolidating once again, which means that in the next 5-10 years gov't will likely intervene and start anti-trust, pro-consumer legislation to prevent another Ma Bell (though most of Ma Bell, aka AT&T, have already come back together after having been torn apart decades ago) from happening again. Energy costs are on the rise everywhere and that isn't going to stop in the near future between US and China consumption and expansion of business and industry. Housing trends... *sigh* lots of defaulting on mortgages in the future. Too many "new fangled" types of mortgages are resulting in the homeowners now being unable to pay their mortgages now. Between the slowing economy and the way these mortgages jump in payments, the next few years are going to see a lot of foreclosures. The housing market will go down in the most of the US, very likely, though the hot markets (So Cal, NYC, Boston, Seattle, etc) will likely to stay expensive. Medical trends, other than the babyboomers needing increased medical care, alternative health options (acupuncture, massage, herbs, etc) are on the rise. More insurance companies will start paying for some of that, while more drug interactions will be documented as more and more people take both drugs and herbal preparations. Niche markets: Anything to do with the elderly. People to help coordinate moving from a house to a assisted, or elderly care facility, lawyers for wills, funeral homes, inhome nursing care. The US population is getting very old very quickly and all those needs are going to be taken care of with all the money the baby boomers have acquired as yuppies. |
