uhh... i'm currently searching for a spin off to chrono trigger, under obligation from my sis. fairly sure it features Magus looking for Scala or somethin and that it was released in japan only. if anyone can give me information on how to find/order a copy please inform me. if the scripting is in japanese that's fine.

thanks a bunch, i'll give eternal happiness to those who help... or y'know, my thanks it's all the same

Oi mate!!! I LOVE Chrono Trigger! Yep there was a sequal, for Playstation! Tis called Chrono Cross. Sadly it doesn't have the original characters for CT for it though. You have a swicked player still though. His name is Serge, and his mates are Kid and about 40 other characters you can choose from. Lynx is the bad ass in the game along with his michevious Harlequin.

Yep, you're right. Magus is looking for Schala still, and you can see a shadow of him at a certain part of Chrono Cross. You also find Schala. It wasn't only released in Japan mate! I have it in my bedroom! Played a beat it already :P Its all english to *winks*

Ebay always works. That is your best shot. I got mine at a place called EB Games. But, tough luck finding it. It is a best hits and they aren't making it anymore. It is about as rare as finding FFVII.

Hehe, I am all good for the eternal happiness. I just like to know there are more Chrono Trigger fans out there :P

hahahahaha noooope, try again.

And there was techincally two. The other is called Radical Dreamers, and it wasn't with Crono or Marle etc, etc. It had a Magusy character to it, and Kid and a guy named....Serge, correct me if I am wrong. I don't know a lot about it. This one was never released elsewhere, and it was for like Dreamcast or sumthin. It was sorta kinda related to Chrono Trigger, buuuuut you didn't need it to understand Chrono Cross. Chrono Cross can be played without Chrono Trigger, but is soooo much more fun when ya do :P

And when didja get FFVII? When it first came out or recent? They stopped making it not too long ago *crys*

There have been a few sequels & spin-offs of Chrono Trigger. One was a short OVA entitled: "Nuumamonja: Time and Space Adventures". Takes place the same time as Trigger.

Another was kind of like a trilogy of racing games like the one in Trigger....each one were connected to a single story.

Finally there was "Radical Dreamers:Nusumenai Houseki"...a side story to Trigger. It was a short "text-based" game. Sadly it was never released outside of Japan. However i did some research & a fan translated version was created....however i've yet to find a site that has a full version...NEVERMIND I JUST READ Reveletions post! Anyways they used this game and expanded it to make what is known as Chrono Cross.

My personal opinion if you're unable to find any of these games i agree with Schala/Kid....your next best bet is Cross. Very different from the first game but a masterpiece all the same. Yasanori Mitsuda-san is at the top of his form with the soundtrack (worth buying!!). The story is a semi-sequel....it basically is what happened to Schala after she disappeared....& if you saw the end of Trigger it takes place after those events.

The cast of Trigger make "colorful (crayons!)" cameos & the story is really deep that ties the two games together.....it has alot to soak in & patience is key to understand the whole concept.

The main character is indeed Serge (but you can change it if you so please)...like Chrono he's the strong SILENT type.
