Dear Gendou. I got a suggestion. Perhaps it'll be better if you allow download manager programs and use a static link for the mp3s. I mean, I got a dream of downloading every single mp3 in this site, but it seems now it's become difficult to do so. I mean, the mp3 URLs are expiring. My Flashget got screwed up everytime it tries to resume. Well, it's not like I'm trying to mess with you or your staff. It's not that I'm protesting your policy either. Just a suggestion. ^_^ |

i suggest you not be a greedy selfish bandwidth hog and save some bandwidth for other people. all of the security features are intended to THWART abuse such as that which you wish to commit. go play in the street. links expire to prevent hotlinking, mass-downloading, and repeat streaming of songs, which is a giant waste of precious (EXPENSIVE!) bandwidth. download managers and download accelerators are prohibited to allow all users a fair change to download. in the past, when this was not restricted, the site would crash several times daily by rogue download accelerators creating hundreds of connections per second. no server can take that kind of abuse! in any case, i guarantee you that my server's upstream is a way fatter than your at-home downstream, so using a download accelerator is a preposterous waste of effort. it would probably download a few seconds faster with out the extra connection overhead!! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Again with the bandwidth issue! Gendou, why can't you just use all those popular upload/download sites!? I mean, how hard would it be? That and you'd be saving a ton on bandwidth, right!? You could also find some sap on the internet who'll lend you their server and allow people to use download accelerators on theirs. It's not like you'd be paying their costs! /sarcasm :P If people can't understand the bandwidth issue, lurk more! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Gendou is right you know, using a download excelerator does not make the download go that much faster then original. All it does is hurt his site, the people using it, and make you believe it truely is going faster. If a download cuts off in the center, it is probably your connection at fault. The relative speeds of Gendou.com, are quiet fast... so fast it beats any excelerator by ten times (may be exaggerating). And if you can't download all the music currently on his site, you can see what's been removed here and simply hunt those not still here down yourself...if you're really that concerned with it. Also those other more popluar upload/download sites, have limited amount of space for the price, plus they only allow so many downloads per month... end of story. It is far better to have your own personal site and server... then to deal with someone elses server that may not allow what you want to put unto it.

DL acelerator:Placebo. I tried using it on another site (psh duh, not this one) and nope, I didnt get the file faster....but I DID get it slower I DL'ed the same file and eh, it was either gonna be slower or the same speed without it. (done worry I took it off) but still, why try and speed up something that you will eventually get? atleast you have a site that gives it to ya! Btw gendou: what pc are you using!? sounds like it's faster than mach 10 >.> ![]() ![]() |

Since we're talking about download accelerators now, I have to say that it does work. Not all of them work the same, in my experience, but the best one a few years ago was DAP 7. Whenever I went to my school's library, the download would be capped at ~900Kb/s. With a download accelerator, the download went from 900 to 4Mb/s. XD That's mostly because the school runs a T3 line and I was only able to get 4Mb/s because the download accelerator only allowed 8 streams at a time. It was great! I ended up downloading things so fast, my laptop couldn't keep up! Of course, the other side has to be just as fast or else it will just be as slow as a normal download. Uh, anyway, don't use download accelerators! You do not have neither the power nor the bandwidth to attain high-speed streams from this website. Any attempt to use them will get you BANNED (insert expletive here)! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

The technology behind a download accelerator is simple: create many connections to download a file piece by piece in parallel. This works well ONLY if your download speed is way way higher than the server's upload speed. Sometimes, your download is capped by the server, or the server is overloaded, for example. When you are on a T3, however, few sites will be able to serve you max bandwidth! ![]() ![]() ![]() |
