Things you bought but turned useless afterwards

The thing that really pisses me off is about how I manage to spend my money foolishly on things that I don't even need after a short period of time, especially when I used a large amount of money to that product. I'm still trying to overcome my regrets and mistakes about how to spend my money wisely, but temptation is so cruel at times. Let's have a share of experiences now. I'm sure pretty much almost all of you here have a temptation to buy things if you have money, then realized the thing you bought was futile, so you can share it with us here--oh, and don't forget to put how did you overcome that experience if you really did. You can post in this thread again if you have another experience committed about the topic not a long time ago. For me, I was urged to buy a new ps2 game, since there are new releases coming by the video game store that I always come and visit. The prices went down a bit, so I was really excited and bought 3 games at the same time, my money went severely down, but I thought to myself it was worth buying. After getting home, I realized I have things to do for the next day, and I don't have time to test out my new games. After a few days, I still didn't play the games I've bought, since I don't have time because of so many tasks to finish. When my free time came, I suddenly lost interest to test out the new games I bought, and I only played them rarely now. See how useless it is? I didn't even played the 3rd game yet, so annoying. I didn't overcome anything yet, but I'm assuring myself not to waste any more money from now on.  |

Yeah I had some to. I bought a bag that I didnot use. My mother was angry because instead buying the needies i bought the useless bag.It costs 1000 pesos. I was so depressed because I just spend my savings for something useless.
I NEED MORE ENERGY, MOAR ENERGY~! ^_______^

Well i dont usually use my money. But when i do, its mostly something i got absolutely no use :S I buy clothes, i never wear. And things like that. But the thing most pisses me off, is that i bought expencive camera and all the equipment for it.. It was two years ago. Its really not that good camera but what did it cost.. 350€ or something like that. And now you can get the camera with only 100€ and lot better cameras with the money i used >.< It pisses me off!   |

Scanner.... not much of a use to our family. Some books required by our university professors for our lectures and such but was rarely utilized by our professors... dammit... waste of money. college is expensive you know. |

| Yeh I got a few PS2 games that had like great reveiws and then turned out to be rubbish that I never play. Oh and I think I totally wasted my money on one of those PS2 Singstar thingies cos I used it for like 2 weeks after getting it and then I just didnt use it for ages and I decided to use it the other day... and its broken so that was just pointless really. Oh well we learn from our mistakes. |

Uh huh... You made me remember one, dark... I too, have spent some money on a CD player, right before getting an I-pod... That sucks... Other than that, there's not much stuff i regret buying i think... Just those that i buy only because the school requires it... Of course the regret i feel can't be erased except the school burns down... >.< |

@ Sero Your brain? You don't actually buy brains, except when you want to have a brain transplant, but is that even possible? O.o Well, I do regret a bit for using my own money for buying things that are required for school purposes as well, but I always remind myself that every small amount of effort takes a big leap to success, so the money that I actually wasted was worth the grade I received. |

I've only bought one thing that was useless afterwards. I bought a painting for my room, and since few people are in my room it doesn't really serve a purpose.    |

i supposed there's quite a number..... back in those school days?.. i guess it's called high school???.......... some of which include... - toys / gadgets.. - clothes - oh yah.. BAG!!!!! the list just goes on & on................ now i try to think twice before i buy anything... LOL!

| My mother had bought an air conditioner that can be moved anywhere in the house...but it was seldom used and now i think it has collected dust and spider webs...wasted 500 bucks on it. |

my pink vincci sandals that are so cute, but they ate my feet everytime i walked Y.Y and my white and green shirt, which have cool patterns and fabrics, but they're too big for me..  |

@Jonathon: If *you* enjoy the painting, that's really the point isn't it? Wow this Could be a really long list for me. The again, I'm older than most of you and so I'm allowed to have more mistakes. :P Hmm, a Remington 710 rifle that I ended up shooting at the range only once. An engagement ring for a girl I later broke up with. A wedding ring for a girl I later divorced. Hmm, I seem to have a bad habit spending money on girls who don't deserve it. :) I've bought PS2 games I can't seem to find an interest to play either and some books for leisure reading that seemed interesting in the store but not once I got home to read them. eh. I think it'd be interesting to see stuff people didn't buy that they later wish they had but can no longer find. |
