Hiragana Writing
|
I need help in 'spelling' SATTA in Hiragana. I mean for example, chotto in Hiragana is written as chi-yo-tsu-to. How about SATTA? Thank you. ^^ |

With any 'double consonant', you need to add a small 'tsu' (㣠as opposed to ã¤) before the next hiragana. Keep writing! If anything, don't do romaji at all. :P In addition to 'small tsu', always remember to write small 'y's (ya, yu, yo) where needed. If you don't, the word can be taken out of context or could be entirely wrong. Keep in mind the small hiragana at all times! |

I also think that not using romaji at all is the best way to learn how to write Japanese. In makes it easier to read and write actual Japanese in the long run.

hiragana is pretty easy, as well as kanji.

Thank you all. ^^ Actually, I have memorized the Hiragana characters already and I am practicing reading and writing them. I've started last Friday, but then, I came across the double consonant and the only clue I got was how CHOTTO was written. Now I know how. Thanks for all the tips. ^^ |
