Ripping Audio from a DVD or Video file
|
Let's say that there is a video with a song that was never released on CD. How could I copy the audio from a video file? |

that would be difficult unless the video and audio were recorded separately and not embedded on each other. there's a program that my teacher uses to do such... i can't remember which. i'll get back to you on that. >< -michiyo- ![]() beware. the QueeN oF SiGGieS is here. kill that mr. scrolly or your siggy goes BAI BAI. it's solidarity month! let's be united! +[-- GeNDouNiaNS: i am half-back! visit my blog by clicking on the siggie banner! updated: 12.07.07 --]+

Oh, come on, this is all too easy. It gets a little more complicated with a DVD, but just open the video file with Virtual Dub, click File > Save WAV... Use this crazy simple mp3 converter by dragging and dropping that file into the programs box to convert that file to an mp3 and that's it. You've just ripped the audio out of that video. If you're just looking to get the song used in an opening for an episode to some anime, before converting to mp3, use Audacity to select and crop the part you want. From there, File > Save WAV... and convert to mp3. |

Hmm. Thank you. But I have a problem I should have mentioned earlier. The file I wanted to record from is of the .flv format, it won't let me load that in. And you said it gets more complicated with a DVD, can this program do that though? EDIT: If at all possible I would like to know how to rip audio from a DVD quickly. I am borrowing a Dragon Ball DVD. I actually bought the Dragon Ball CD, but I want to record the English version of the ending, which is not on a CD. So, can anyone tell me how? |
