Alright, thought I'd give this a shot. This is an idea I've had for a few years now, for a story/manga/anime[If and when I am able to draw good enough to produce it^^;]. Anyway, here's the situation for the story starting and whatever. I'll just give the basic points for now. -This is set during the present time, around it anyway, between 2004 and 2010. -A gate to the demon world has been opened by a man[Who I'll talk about more tomorrow]. -During the initial wave of demons, many cities were destroyed and/or overrun by demons, such as London, Paris, Quebec City, all of the US[Where gate was opened], all of Southren America and Mexico, Hong Kong, Kyoto and Sydney. -Most cities have been fortified by military forces and towns have armed themselves and found ways to fight. -Mercs roam all around taking jobs protecting cities/towns, hunting demons, etc. Mercs have been infuzed with demon blood and genetic material to give them hightened abilities, however the military soldiers and regular people don't have these powers due to the fact that the government believes that the demon blood causes instability and madness in people. The government usually sticks to ammunition based weapons such as guns[which are slightly less affective then other weapons like bladed weapons] while mercs normally opt for bladed weapons. Here's a profile format to fill out while I'm gone though. AND PLEASE DON'T RUIN THE MERC'S. It happened in my Gundam RP, please don't let it happen here. Name: Alias: [If any] Gender: Age: Type of person: [Military soldier or merc. At this moment there is not a demon choice] Weapons[s]: [If military, you are limited to guns, explosives and so on only] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Human: Weaknesses- Not as fast or as strong as 'mercs'. Some of their weapons are slightly less effective against demons. Can die more easily. Strengths- Greater in number[Their are many more soldiers and regular people than 'mercs', greater chance of groups or nearby reinforcements] Guns are more effective in closed areas and long range than bladed weapons are. If part of the military, have access to tanks, helicopters and etc. 'Mercs': Weaknesses- Don't have access to military euipment/weapons[tanks, helicopters, etc.] Have unique problems resulting from the demon blood/genetic material infused in them. Don't usually travel in groups, hard to call for reinforcements. Strengths- Faster and stronger than normal humans. Have abilities that humans don't/can't have unless infused with demon blood/material. Weapons are generally more effective than ammunition based weapons[If your using bladed weapons of course, you can still use guns but their limited to civilian based ones like basic pistols]. Can survive greater injury and heal quicker than human[NOT INSTANTLY] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- RULES: 1. No godding. 2. No transporting from place to place in an instant[As in long distances] 3. Humans are not stronger than some demons, so they can't fight some of them for very long[if their by themselves] I'll set up a class system a little later that will show the different types of demons. 4. Mercs don't have unlimited power, continuously using special attacks and such will drain power and tire them out. That's it for now.^^    |

Name: Tasuki Kusanagi Alias: Red Wolf Gender: Male Age: 19 Type of person: Merc Weapons[s]: Aura Blade Bio: A self-centered Merc, with a blood of a demon flowing inside his veins. His past is unknown [it will be revealed bit by bit later], yet he slays demons as a living, with no definite home. He went travelling around the world, didn't care if a city was destroyed or not. His main purpose is to kill all demons with no one left behind. A blade was given to him by a friend, which is also a Merc. It's his second objective to look for that friend, to protect him for eternity.  |

Um, I suggest putting more details about the Mercs, about their appearance, what more do they do, etc...since they sound interesting ^^ |

Name: Kitakaze Samui Alias: Kuura (hoarfrost) Gender: Female Age: 17 Type of person: Merc Weapon: Touch Of Winter. Its a light blade that freezes everything it touch. Her parents are in military, as normal soldiers, but she doesnt think their helping anyone, so she decided to help on her own way. She went on transfusion where she got a bit of demons blood. She also got some flexible material implanted in her body, allowing her to learn fighting fast. Demon blood has it shadow sides too, and it produces unbearable pain occasionally. Now she hates her parents, for being such of lusers, and walks her own path. It includes lonelines more than enough, but she refuses to admit that shes all alone without anybody to care about her. So she goes from town to town, taking huge payments from her assistant. She tries to avoid other mercs and consentrates on killing demons. Shes hated. Hate and loneliness can kill you. @jonathan, i hope this goes, cos im not so sure about whats possible and what kind of beings the mercs are after all ^^'   |

Cool. Name: Kusanagi Ginga Alias: Hothead Gender: Female Age: 17 Breed: Human Weapon: Bazooka, explosive tags, bombs etc Bio: Ginga is normal, in every way. She enroled in the military at age 15, with her previous 2 years spent in military school. Well, she supposed that she did join a bit young, but... the country was almost over-run by demons, so she really had no choice. They even went 'round to her village to get more people. She admires Mercs, but didn't really want to be one. After all, some of the most feared villians were crazied Mercs... She's not sure if she could handle being one. One week earlier, she was told by her superior officer that she would be transferring to another unit. She hoped she would work with a Merc this time... She wanted to test her abilities (even if she's almost sure of the outcome... that she's gonna lose). So with high hopes, she went to meet her new commander, and teammates... Uh... do we need a bio or not? I'll make one up just in case. |

@Nime- It would be nice, but it's not required. @Mekomimi- Yeah, Ill get everything detailed and such tonight, so sorry to everyone if this RP takes another few hours to get going.^^; I have a lot of things to do today. I'll get everything clear and detailed by tonight I promise. As for mercs, well abilities can include just about anything, but the thing I will say[To stop godding and repetitive ultimate attacks is that any merc has their weakness as a result from the demons blood/genetic material. Nekomimi has the right idea about her character feeling intense pain every so often. Also one of the things I'm saying is that for energy based moves[beams, crazy attacks and whatever] your character can only do so much, the energy will give out eventually if you use special attacks too often. I'll give my profile now before I go again, just enough time. @Nime- Don't worry, not too mny people are going to take human yet because everyone thinks that the demon blood makes their characters better, but that's not totally true. Bio:Got into a car accident and was accidently given a demon's blood transfusion in the hospital,but thanks to that,his life was saved. Although quick on his feet and sword, his strength decreases when he is under the sunlight. His skin also starts to give him a painful burning sensation whenever it is touched by sunlight. Okay, I'm back[finally]. So I can get this started. If anyone has any questions or wants info on a certain aspect then just ask, I'll explain what I can/want to explain.^^ I'll post a few basic rules on the first post and then start, or someone else can start. Oh, and you can choose anywhere in the world to start, but people will most likely start in the same area as all the other members/characters.^^; |

Well, major cities left standing[I'll list a few from major countries because there are too many to name.^^] Tokyo Osaka Toronto Rome Athens Moscow Basically any city that I didn't say fell already.^^ I don't have a good map so I can't list very many. Tokyo and Moscow are the two most heavily fortified cities on that list right now. Anyway, better start. Oh, and I'm adding a profile for another character of mine. Name: Sakura Gender: Female Age: 18 Type: Human Weapons: Currently none. Bio: Met Jon during the fall of Kyoto a few weeks ago. Following him for reasons currently unknown. Both parents and her younger brother were killed during the attack. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jonathon: *approaching the Tokyo gaurd station* We're almost there. Sakura: Finally. It's about time. Why didn't you get that car we saw a while back? Jonathon: Because you started freaking out due to the skeletons inside. Sakura: You could have moved them you know. You never get freaked out by anything. Jonathon: Please, the world is filled with all sorts of demons, there isn't much that would freak you out nowadays after you've fought demons. Sakura: Still. Jonathon: Walking is safer anyway. If we were in a car would could be attacked and I wouldn't be able to draw my swords. Besides, fast moving objects would draw the attention of them. @Ryu- Main bad guy is the guy I was talking about, the one that opened a demon gate. @Bloodymoon- Too many to say, because I'm not sure how many cities are on the earth. How about 34% of cities have been destroyed[Cities, not including towns] 27% of the world's population was killed during the initial attack 34% of major cities have been wiped out[worldwide] I can't say which cities exactly because there are way too many. So if you say your going to a city then that's fine, I'm not going to come out from no-where and say it's been destroyed. |

well here is mine (^^) Name:Yoma Gender:Male Alias :Peace Dreamer Age: 14 (edited) Type : mercs Weapon : Katsukage (this katara can send out rays of light) Bio : He is a very childish and a ready to help always merc.When he was a kid he got injured of a certain accident and was blood transfered with a demon blood in order to live.He lost his family during the fall of Kyoto also a few weeks ago.He cry by himself when his all alone (coz of the lost of his parents and the fact that he is a merc).When usually travel with a group he become so happy that he dont want to left them.He can also do some cool ninja moves.His weakness is that when he get to smell sweet fragrance of perfume and cologne which cause him to fall asleep.He only clothes he wear is a white t-shirt and a punky pants, several silver bracelet in each arm and a pair of knee high black boots ... It took me for an hour to make my charachter's profile (^^)  Keep Holding On...: My diary ^^. |
