Saddest anime moment

Got inspired by the saddest anime song thread in the music section. Didn't see a similar thread 5 pages back either. So, what's the saddest part you have ever have seen in an anime? Saw RahXephon recently, so i remember being touched in this particular scene. The part where Ayato swears to protect "what's her name", and then ends up killing her without knowing before the moment of her death. Don't know if that sounds sad, told like this, but it sure as hell is when you're watching. I want to check out some more "sad" animes, please do tell whatever you have seen. -Kazuma out  |

Saddest moments huh...well...I don't want to mention any because it would ruin it for you and anyone else who reads this thread...but I will mentioned some anime that do have its sad moments... Naruto and Fullmetal Alchemist... yeah.. its sad.. well, in naruto there are like 8 episodes that are sad.. and i think in FMA the end is sad.. so yeah..those anime made me cry.. i kinda like sad anime.. :) lol... ^^
im obbssed and sad. sadness.sorrow.brothers.

sorry to make my forum debut on a contrary note but the end of FMA wasnt so sad. Al was restored and becoming quite the alchemist (with a goal to boot), Ed finally got his limbs back AND patched up with his dad. Sure they arent together but knowing those two even appart they could find eachother again. sorry but that episode has just been LAWYER'D!!! I will admit FMA has its sad moments though and isnt completely disqualified by any means but then again im not the judge of that am I?

When asuka supposedly dies in the end of evangelion (I am aware that she returns in the end of the movie as a combination of all three of the women in shinjis life hence the brown eyes instead of blue). It brings a tear to my eye :(  Japanese girls love Darth Vader...... |

You guys also thought Inuyasha was sad! I so agree! Like the time they decided to go from the kick-ass "Band of Seven" arc to the "Let's stop the fun stuff we were just doing and go into another crappified crap done for the millionth time" arc? LOL I'm sorry, I just had to say it! |

Air(when misuzu dies) Hotaru no Haka(actually never saw the whole thing,but it was sad) Naruto(Gaara's Death(manga)) Pita-ten((manga) Shia's Death)just because she stays dead in the manga,i heard she got ressurrected in the anime |

| Obviously Kanon when Mai is trying to suicide (anime ver.) but I played the game first, so.., makes me remember the truth in the game, that's saddest :o |

chrno crusade (the end) gundam seed (last apearence of muu la fraga) gundam seed destiny (the death of shin's first love, st...) stellvia (still watching it, but i kindda cried when shiipon found her mother's letter) dbz (goku's death when fighting cell) naruto (三代目ç«å½±'s funeral) this ugly and beautiful world (the end) elfen lied (lucy and kouta's last talk, but this is more of a bloody anime than sad so if you're looking for sad ones...) ã©ã†ã—ã¦ç½ªãŒã‚ã‚‹ã®ã ã‚ㆠ   |

Probably the end of Texhnolyze, it is one of the saddest and most depressing endings that I have ever seen in a show and I've seen some pretty sad ones.

| In "Iriya no Sora, UFO no Natsu", at the end, the girl gave her life so that the boy would survive the hidden war. It was painful to watch cause you know she'll never comeback. its like the deathbed.. |

| There's many sad moment. But the most I remember is Kanon. Especially the moment when Makoto dies. Damn,that's the only anime that make me cry. |

Im so sorry for this, and I know everyones gonna yell at me for saying this....................When Vegeta died on DBZ, I actually cried. Then they ruined it by bringing him back to life a few episodes later! LOL And im refering to the first time he died, it was touching im sorry. The only other time I cried during anime was the end of samurai X when, well, anyone whos seen it knows. |
