An angel is a concept of pure goodness. To Christians, an angel is simply a messenger of God. The concept of a being with wings is a human invention. Why would a spirit have need of wings? That, along with the halo is naught more than a symbol of holiness. Different people of different denominatons or lack thereof have their own concept of an angel. The word "angel" therefore, is a personal definition, but inevitably revolves around goodness. |
