I just happened to click on Recycle Bin, right click --> properties --> local disk, then I noticed it wrote "Space Reserved: 411 MB" What does that mean? someone has reserved this amount of space in the computer? |

Windows has reserved 411 MB on your disk for the Recycle Bin. It will keep all your deleted files, but not emptied the bin yet, accumulating till 411 MB and then its starts to automatically delete the longest deleted file etc. Also, if you have files larger then 411 MB and delete them, they will be deleted immediatly since they don't fit into the Recycle Bin.

it IS recommended that you only maintain 2-3% of your total disk size... =D -michiyo- beware. the QueeN oF SiGGieS is here. kill that mr. scrolly or your siggy goes BAI BAI. it's solidarity month! let's be united! +[-- GeNDouNiaNS: i am half-back! visit my blog by clicking on the siggie banner! updated: 12.07.07 --]+

Does the amount of space reserved takes up the drive disk space? |
