Docomo?
|
I have a friend who lives in Japan. For people who live there or have travelled, perhaps you can answer this question for me. Awhile ago he sent an e-mail saying he had a phone address. instead of hotmail.com or yahoo etc... There was Docomo.ne.jp I tried sending e-mails to this address repedtedly but ass master bastard person said that I coudln't send e-mails to that address. Is there any other e-mail that I could get possibly so that my e-mails will go through and he will recieve them? If I could have this question answered it would be most appreciated. I am a lil worried and havn't gotten an e-mail from him for a very long time. Thank you.

...@schala - gmail is google mail...all you have to do is go to google.com, and at the top right of the home page, you should see the words 'sign in'...there, you can register for a gmail account... |

I don't think so. I have a gmail account and I can send emails to other people.

gmail accounts serves and sends all types of mail. it currently has the biggest storage device for email. it DOES serve an internal chatting device which serves only gmail users. as for the Docomo.ne.jp thingy, have you tried accessing it through http? the site might just tell you a thing or two, if it DID exist... oh, and just type in www.gmail.com for gmail. no need for nuts, just eat the chocolate! it takes you straight there without having to go through the whole google thingy. and, uhm, Schala/Kid, please DO watch the language. a** and b****rd ARE foul language. it's kinda sad when someone gets banned or suspended because of such reasons, really. even if you're bashing an automatic emailing program. hope i helped you out today! -michiyo- beware. the QueeN oF SiGGieS is here. kill that mr. scrolly or your siggy goes BAI BAI. it's solidarity month! let's be united! +[-- GeNDouNiaNS: i am half-back! visit my blog by clicking on the siggie banner! updated: 12.07.07 --]+

Some Docomo i-mode accounts rejecte-mails from sources other than cell phone, this is so that the users don't receive too much spam. Unless the person you are sending e-mail to has configured the account to accept mail from global internet your mail will be rejected. Spam filters for i-mode are also stronger than normal email services so it might be that your msg is getting caught. There's also the problem that Docomo network is now charging e-mail operators a fee for sending mail to the docomo network (it's their strategy to try to prevent spam) so your e-mail carrier might be rejected by docomo. Also depending on the type of network your friend is on (2G, 2.5G, 3G ect) your mail could take anywhere up to a week to be received. |
