Bilingual Manga

Has anyone read any bilingual manga? They're really cool with the English in the speech bubbles and the Japanese in the margins. They're bigger and have higher quality paper than normal Japanese manga. Any thoughts?

They seem more expenive then? That's a good idea. I've seen people do that to Garfield in Europe about 8 years ago.

What other languages are there?

Oh... In that case, i've never seen any manga like that... But there are some US produced comics that's being published here in that format, like Donald Duck and other disney comics. So it's english in the bubbles and Indonesian in the margins. Hehe, my mom used to buy me those stuffs to help me improve my english...^^

The mangas in Indonesia is translated directly to Indonesian without any japanese texts left (except for the sound effects) So all manga books i have are in pure indonesian...

I've never seen bilingual manga in my hometown before, but I think it's a great thing to sell in foreign countries (outside of Japan). ★ v(^-^)v ★

Does anyone know how much more they cost compared to regular (unilingual) manga?? Maybe it depends on the series... (^^;;)

The ones I've bought cost 880 yen compared to around 390 yen for normal manga. The series I've seen you can buy are Card Captor Sakura and Love Hina and lots of others. Unfortunately, they're not sold (at least to my knowledge) in regular bookstores like Borders and Barnes and Nobles here in the US. Only on the internet and small shops.
