Fairy maidens who married humans...

I'm sure most of you know this story. Fairy comes to earth to bath, perverted human steals her clothes, forces her to marry him, eventually gets magic clothes back, then flies back to heaven. Sound familiar? This is a VERY old folktale. Problem is, it's been repeated so many times, I don't know which country it originates from. Can someone tell me?

it reminds me of Ayashi no Ceres...not sure where it originated from...but some says it's from China,some said Korea while others said Japan...so i'm not that sure... |

I agree with bloodymoon, Ayashi no Ceres has that "theme" and yes, very old folktale... I believe it's from an Asian country (I think China)   |
