| My cute anime pic contest has had almost 3000 veiws and almost 200 entries in only ONE WEEK, and it will become a general anime pic contest thread with a new theme every now and then. Hopefully lightning willl strike twice... |

| Good for you, but yours is an RP though, encouraging many posts and expotentially increasing views along with those posts; mine is in the anime section thread and those threads in the anime or any other non-RP section don't usually get that many posts or views though! I'm just saying it's a a lot for a anime thread. |

Shishio, you have made so many threads, I lost count, lol. Creating threads is hard, cause thinking it out and trying to make it "original" is kinda hard, lol. I just post in alot of the more popular threads. (the courthouse is stil going thanks to me, you gotta say that)

Itachi, no offense, I think you're a cool guy but once again I must respond to you with the facts, as I did in the "Favorite Guilty Gear Character" thread.(LOL) Anime- About 65,000 posts for about 2,500 threads comes out to an average of 26 posts per thread on average. In Gendou city, there are about 38,000 posts for 75 threads, coming out to an average of 507 posts per thread on average! So when you consider individual threads, an RP is posted MUCH more per thread, maybe it is the same people posting over and over, but at least it will have many more posts on average. And as I said before, RPs encourage as much posting as possible, and don't have near the disadvantages of other forums: there is no "debate" or question that can be answered eventually, popularity of animes dying, and such things that would end those threads. In addition, Gendou even had to post a 100-limit to posts per day for the RP forum! Anyhow the point is that your RP thread is naturally going to have more posts and a huge advantage. Anime is at a huge disadvantage for posts PER section because posts there are drawn from the topic, not the imagination as in an RP, that makes many less additonal posts, and in GC you can post almost all you want as you add to the story. And this thread is about posts per thread. Then if these threads in anime or any non-GC thread are going to have less posts on average, then a large number of posts and views is quite an accomplishment. But that's just IMO and for the sake of debate (debate is fun LOL). |

...you'd be surprised...the standards for creating, and participating in an RP are VERY low... most RPs in gendou dont even hit the 500 mark in posts... ...and if the RP isnt done carefully enough, some of them end up as dead RPs...so you're wrong about RP's not dying...i bet some of my fellow Rpers would agree with me... ...and most of the RPs in the city dont even have a story (arena,bar,hospital,court)... ...in my court, i only had around up to 10 different people that posted there, which seems unbelieveable...considering how many posts it has...and who knew a courthouse would draw in so many posts?...cant believe a courthouse beat anime...lol... ...and another thing...in the city, we fight alot for some reason...and no one wants to die...so thats why people post alot as well... ...besides, it wouldnt make sense to keep posting in an anime thread repeatedly....its nice to know that someone likes a certain anime, but if they post repeatedly in there, it just gets old,so theres no need to post in there much... ...the above sentence is just an example,no offence to anyone in particular... |
