Well, I never played disgea but I played the sequel, phantombrave. It was okay but I didn't like the graphics and gameplay much.

haha i'm Disgaea fan^^ hmm, if in term of power. i like laharl. i only use him to beat the last boss. haha and prinnies are cute too^^ waiting for Disgaea 2 in english.  by set-chan

me too.Hey,did anyone know about phantom brave 2? How 'bout la pucelle?In disgaea,i prefer the succubus andkitcat(maybe)they are the enemies that we can found first at jotunheim(terrible cold)

dunno about phantom brave 2. but this game is fun too^^ nippon icchi games are the best for 2d strategy^^ do you play makai kingdom? i think its got some disgaea char as extra boss. i'm too buzy to play games this year. by set-chan

I want to play disgaea really badly, along with it's sequel. I played Phantom Brave though, and that was pretty cool. I got two disgaea characters so far ^^v  |

You got two more to go: Laharl and Mid-Boss. Good luck because Laharl is at level 250 and Mid-Boss is at level 400, I think. I like Makai Kingdom because it's so freakin funny! "I'm a badass freakin Overlord, man!" Hahahahahahahahaha!!! I'm gonna borrow Disgaea from my friend when I beat Phantom Brave. And I'll try to get Disgaea 2. One thing I know is that you can't get Laharl on your team.  Laharl, the Overlord of all. I rule Netherworld Restaurant as well.

Nippon Ichi likes to make other main characters from the other 2d strategy to another.. Prier in Disgaea(..right ??) Laharl, Etna, and Flonne in PB...and so on =_= these 2d strat games burn way too much time for me eg. La Pucelle in 90hrs and PB in 83hrs(approx)... can't seem to finish the bonus parts of the games

Disgaea was very different from othe stat. games which made it very refreshing. I agree that Nippon Ichi games take ALOT of your free time. It took me over 200 hrs to max out all my characters & items (for my characters) in the original....worth it cause i can kill Baal in one round! If my characters all attack him i end up doing close to 80 million....that is if all 10 of my guys atk. So far in most Nippon games there is a Baal character...the toughest challenge in the game. In la Pucelle he was a large (dragon/demon)....disgaea (big ogre/uber Prinny)...Phantom brave (mushroom)...makai kingdom (a battleship)...i wonder what he looks like in disgaea 2. always expect cameos from past games in the latest installment....as far as i know laharl...the girls...& mid-boss are making appearances in D2....i've seen Pram as a summon character. Better make room in your dayplanners/palm pilots & schedules cause this game will eat away at your life like most games by Nippon :)  |

In D2,almost all character in Makai Kingdom are showed up.'Till now,i just know that alexander showed up when u used mega wind,and valvolga when u used tera star.I saw it by internet.I never finished PB 'till now.I can't beat those manticore.

I already played makai kingdom about for80 hours and still can't get the new game plus,because i can't beat pram.

In pb, I'm trying to unlock extra map 6. I just started Makai Kingdoms. Laharl, the Overlord of all. I rule Netherworld Restaurant as well.

Wow.i still can'y beat the game though(pb).In makai kingdom,u shouldn't kill ur allies over 49 or u'll meet pram.even u beat her,u'll get the bad ending.her level about 2500.her hp are about40k.

I manage to unlock laharl in the game for far(and damn he is more of a god than an Overlord), after transmigrating him 40 bloody times with item with starts (213 stars in total), and I haven't started to fight the Other Overlords yet cause I want to make my party strong enough, at least lvl.300 for the ones i use the most minimum, but it's a life killer. For Disgaea 2, I've preordered my copy already, ebgames said it's coming out but the end of August to the first week of september. A good way to start off the new school year with a brand spankin' new game. Etna is in it too! SWEETNESS!

A news from Gamespot.com reveals that a PSP version of Disgaea 1 is in the works in Japan: http://www.gamespot.com/news/6156794.html?tag=latestnews;title;0 But it is still being decided if the game will be released in the west: "As some of you may well know the psp is getting a Disgaea game in japan, unfortunatly without fanbase support NIS does not plan on importing it here.
