Question on ebay
|
I'm pretty clueless on buying things online. I wanted to learn how, and i think ebay's forums are somehow not helpful enough. I wanted to learn how to buy a product and most improtantly on how to send money, both on local area and worldwide. Should i pay first before acquiring the product or vice versa? Please help me with this and it will be helpful if you give more details ^___^ meh~ ![]() |

What you must do is commit to buy the item, pay for all the stuff you've committed to buy, then after the dude gets the payment he'll send you the stuff. Details please? =^.^= |

It depends on the seller. Most of them demands payment within 2-5 days after the auction ends. You can pay with paypal, credit card, check, etc. depending on what the seller prefers or whatever method is easier for you to get the money to the seller before the due date. I usually use palpay (even though it sucks and very risky). Most vendors don't usually send anything out to you before they get their payment. On the question of sending money, I would advise you not to send any cash. Hope that helps a tad. Best of luck to you. |

hmm.... i had no problem so far with ebay, and i bought lots of anime stuffs from there: Evangelion DVD, Witch hunter Robin DVD, Soul of Chogokin EVA 04 diecast model, etc.... however, if u do not wish to use paypal/credit card, u can pay as money order (it might cost u extra though...). somethimes some sellers do not accept money order so that's a pain in the butt XP I must advise you, if you want tot bet something in ebay do it at the VERY LAST MINUTES of bidding. because, someone could overbid you and u can't get it in the end. (this is many ppl's strategy ;) ). and ALWAYS check the seller's rating by other bidders. some sellers are ripoffs or they sell u fake stuffs (like bootleg made DVD's). both of my EVA and WHR dvd's are bootlegs, but they were sooooo cheap that i bought them. and they have EXACT same qualities as offcial dvds! lol but u sometimes won't get x-tra stuffs like "the makings of..." video clips and trailers, etc...there's big section on ebay for newcomers how to use the system so i suggest u read them ;) it's worth it if u wanna buy very rare anime stuffs. (like my EVA 04 diecast mode. expensive but rare). oh and check more than one sellers for better pricing on certain items ![]() |

Actually, you can't sell human organs on eBay. @kei While it's true a lot of people get scammed, most of the time they aren't very careful in their buying technique. Constant communication and a noteworthy seller are keys to a successful transaction. I bought a few Bleach things before it became more popular and they all came in the best shape and in a few day's time. :o Of course, though, you have to be careful with PayPal or with paying for anything online using a credit card. It's risky because submitting your CC information onto the largest network in the world (one where eeeeeeeveryone can access it) is like bringing a buffet to work just for yourself only to have everyone else eating too. :P @TIE Man, I can never snipe all too well. Luckily the items I bid for were ones no one really liked. :0 ![]() ![]() ![]() |

however, i heard that someone tried to sell a half-eaten sandwich XD anywayz, yah it's pretty tricky to bid and win popular items. like there was one time where this person was trying to sell one-of-kind Lego set of Venator-class Star Destroyer (from Star WArs Episode III). it was like 30 000 pieces and 8 feet long . starting bid was $2000 US. about 67 ppl tried to outbid over another, but in the end someone bid and won with $30 000. lol it was fun just watching the bidding XD there's also "buy right now" option for some items which allows u to...well buy right now before someone comes, and i really like that option over "bid now" option ![]() |
