I just know that it happens after FF7 : Advent Children for one year. A group of people who call themself "Dirge of Ceberus" send some soldiers into Midgar for unknown purpose, and people who know this are Vincent and Yuffie. Vincent told Yuffie to regroup our ally(Cloud Tifa Barret Cid CaithSith but I've never seen RedXIII) and he will find out the leader of "Dirge of Ceberus" This is all I know, I've not played it yet. So, if there are any mistake, please corect them for me. I want to know some part of its storyline from who played it. In this game Vincent is so cool...moreover, Yuffie is very cute!! Tifa's still beautiful as the old day... About Shelke....she's so L ^^b

FFVII: Dirge of Cerberus can't wait for it to be released in English... |
Re: FFVII:Dirge Of Cerberus

it'll be out in Aug 8th i think.... in August anyways. and err... Dirge of Cerberus is about the roar of vincent's gun, Cerberus, the triple barreled gun. and whats more... i don't think the group is called DoC either. just listen to the previews carefully and you'll get a thing or two. and in this game, yes, it happened 1 year after FFVII:AC and 3 years after the PS1 version of FFVII. the story's mostly on Vincent in 3rd, 1st and 2nd person shooting mode, and along with that, his Limit Break that transform him into a demon. there're various types of guns for him, like from long barrel to short, long handles to short and such mods for his guns, but balance are required to get the gun at a correct stats. only in mission 3 so far. will tell you guys more later. |

So far as the way you described it, it sounds like fun! I just hope Vincent is still controlable when he goes demon mode. Marse Hughes |

I've played the japanese version of this game. Since i don't understand Japanese language so i don't know the story and just enjoyed the action. First to say, this game has really bad control. Morely, Vincent isn't really as quick and great as Dante. Vincent focused on his shooting, and weapon modification. But his fist attacks are really bad. Only 6 or 7 hits combo, and no other technique. You can modify his weapon. Change the weapon base (handgun, SMG, shotgun), change the scope, or change the other parts as you want. The weapon have 4 parameter : Power, Weight, Range, Speed. You can modify your weapon for range type, close combat type, or whatever you want. You can't really compare this game to DMC, 'cause this is more like shooting game, since DMC is a action game. The unique thing here is aiming. You have some special mode of aiming weapon. Pressing R1 to enter 1st person and start shooting. There's a green circle crosshair in the middle of your screen, and every enemy that enter that circle, will be aimed and you can shoot it. There's no such thing like manual aim, and head shot like other shooting game. Still, if you're a fan of FF (especially FF7), try this game. |
Re: FFVII:Dirge Of Cerberus

dude you've missed these out: the thing is, you call them SMG, but i call it mod. the weapon can be a sniper rifle, a handgun, shotgun then a machine gun. i had my mods to the max now and around the 10th chapter of the story, and i got lazy and stepped down for a while. and i agree, the controls are not good at all, and can't be compared to the infamous DMC series, as it lacks: Auto-Aim, double jumps and crazy stunts. the bullets are a problem too. As for SE, its not bad for a first time shooter series, but needs improvement. if you enjoy storylines, get this game, if for gameplay, i recommend that you rent it. |

uhh.. i just got to 4th or 5th chapter (vs boss with bazooka, gun, and big sword). Huh? Sniper rifle? Wow, i don't think i have it right now. I used shotgun base with for far shoot. SMG = Sub Machine Gun, i looked at bottom left of my screen, the image for weapon with that SMG base looked like a MP5, so i called it SMG. It has 35 bullets per round, right? So, what do you mean with that "mod" thing? |
Re: FFVII:Dirge Of Cerberus

the gun, is not called SMG :/ its called Mod. Modified. |

Oh boy... I imported this and beat it completely (getting all the "G" reports) and from what I can understand in the secret ending, "G" aka Gackt is the original SOLDIER (the first experiment)... So does this mean G is stronger than sephiroth? Anyway, the gameplay isn't as great as DMC3 and melee is terrible at least you can control his demon forms though, suprisingly enough, I did have fun playing through the game so I will pick up the U.S. version also when it comes out. |
Re: FFVII:Dirge Of Cerberus

This game is disappointing, really... First, the control is so complicated we're having a hard time the first playing it. Second, after the crappy actions we did with the enemies, in the cutscene Vincent then do all the cool stuffs we can't do manually... That pisses me off! I want some action myself! I felt like playing this game only to watch the cutscene because that's where the cool stuffs happen...T_T |

thats how it is inall games, characters do things so cool incutscenes and such,nd then when you wanna try it yourself you see they cant do those things normally,as if those abilities are for one time use only.... |
Re: FFVII:Dirge Of Cerberus

I loved the cut scenes, but some bosses made me scream and tear my hair out... But the last boss was SOOOO much easier to beat then Rosso the Crimson. (Maybe because I was Chaos... I love Chaos!!! ^_^)
PMR...PMR... 1 month...
