Noooooo~~! That is so sad. Who will teach his children to wrestle crocodiles? What a way to go, though: a sting ray barb to the chest! |

*a moment of silence* He, will definetly be remembered. Especially, by those Crocodiles he wrestled in the past. He'll continue to wrestle with crocs, in Heaven now. Farewell, mate~! ------- |

I can't beleive this. There have only been about 2 deaths from a stingray in Aussie history, how could such a freak accident happen to Steve.T____T |

The problem was that he was stung in the heart, otherwise he probably wouldnt have died. Its a sad day in the world of animal study when we lose such a talented man such as steve irwin, rest in peace steve. |

@Feo- That's why it's so sad. If he was stung anywhere else he would have had a chance to live, but out of all the places it could have struck him, it landed in his heart.-_- Condolences to his wife and children. Let's hope his son grows up to be a great man like his father was and his daughter too. Hopefully one of them will continue their fathers legacy. |

I know but a sting ray! WTF, I expected steve to go out against a crocodile or some sort of super shark but not a sting ray! We have those in san diego, i've been stung by one for god's sake! But for the crocodile hunter to be slain by one is just way to much for me. It makes me feel even worse for his kids and his wife terry who stood beside him all the way. Its just too uspsetting. |

@Feo- Yeah I know. He did all of these dangerous things for 20 years or so and lived through it all without even losing any major body parts, and then he's killed like this, not fighting or doing anything dangerous at all. Just feels so ironic. |
Re: RIP Croc Hunter

He said he would die doing what he loved most. It's terrible *crys* But, he will always be remembered. I am sure he will be wrestling animals in Heaven too! It was a freak accident, definetly. Sting Rays aren't a aggresive creature. When I went to Orlando Florida I got to reach down in a pool of water and touch sting rays and baby sharks. It was a complete freak accident.

I'm happy to see that there are more understanding people than the mass of ignorance I see elsewhere |

I've seen so many posts on other forums about people saying "he was retarded" "he got what he deserved" and of the likes and not have a lick of support to validate it because they don't know squat about him outside of his show. |

I can't believe someone would say things like that about him. The man had guts, lots of guts to do the things he did. Forget about those people, he was a great man. |

Omigod! I just found! My dad is one of them! He thinks that he was nothing but a show off to try to even go near the stinray. I was absolutely offended by how forward he was about it. We had a small debate afterwords with neither one backing down. Now we're not bringing it up. I can't believe that he can't even see the passion Steve has for animals and that getting close to them is just something he loves to do. Watever dad. |
Re: RIP Croc Hunter
|
It's a pity he had to die so early, I used to love watching his shows. But of all things, why would people call him retarted? It takes a lot of courage to work with crocs, and it wasn't like he wrestled with them for fun; either it was to sedate them or something else. |
Re: RIP Croc Hunter
|
Well, like any good diver, he should of worn his heavy Plate Mail underwater to protect his vital organs. The stated above applies to all who think it is retarded to dive or get "too" close to the singrays. You can't predict this stuff 100 percent of the time, its more dangerous to drive than to swim with stingrays. You can die anywhere, anytime. So your either a showoff retard every morning if you wake up, or accept the concequences and live with it. |
