Overated anime... Here it goes. 1 - K-on! (No offence, K-on! fans) 2 - School Days (Love it, though.) 3 - Yu-Gi-Oh! (Too much series, I think.) 4 - Pokemon (Same as above.) 5 - Digimon (Same as above.) That's all. I hope no one take offense on this. It's on my mind.  |

The Dragonball series, the Gundam Series, Naruto, Yu-gi-oh, ONE PIECE!!! Ugh..but that's about all that I can think of at this moment.

This just depends on preference. And don't compare with all the "old" anime because they might be "overrated" in their time as well. you may never know. The most overrated anime ever are the ones with fillers. Fillers kill it.

Gundam SEED Gundam SEED Destiny Naruto Gundam SEED and GSD, most people think they're the best gundam series ever produced, they made this assumption without even watching other good gundam materials like Gundam Wing and such. Naruto should be self-explanatory.     |

Naruto is extremely overrated. This series held almost all of anime watchers to stick to it while there are so many good Anime out there, this happens in almost every country. Most of my high school companions are very tolerant, they seem to respect Otaku for their cultures (I ain't an Otaku, but I favored some anime I can deem worthy. I befriend some Otaku to gain information of good anime as well). However, almost all of those who belong to the annoying side, too, believe that any other Anime was created for the purpose of entertaining kids----- except Naruto. Just a fix of Ecchi and they can make that kind of comment? Oh puh-lease. Anime is a movie genre back there in Japan, its demographic is different. People these days need to understand that these days animations are no longer related to kids. People should not think Naruto as the only Seinen Anime either. If they're looking for storyline, apparently they haven't seen something like AIR.  |

In the UK, Pokemon, Beyblade & Naruto are overated. I think Yu-Gi-Oh is overated as well.  |

I'm going to say...Naruto, DragonBall Z, Yu-Gi-Oh! (Duelist/English), and Pokémon. Even though I like all these anime, they are all over-rated. And you can tell that they're all over-rated when they make underwear after these anime...

I still lurve Spirited Away. But I could see how you could get that impression. It was kinda a weird movie. About 95% of all anime is overrated. I used to be more of a fan, but now I feel like I should dissociate with these people because they scare me a lot. Most of the stuff just happens to have nice animation or whatever, and the storylines are generably passable but not excellent. The only reason I like some of them are because there are certain parts of the storyline or characters that stand out to me. There are plenty of unpleasant things to say about each and every series out there, but the pleasant sides of them are based on personal preferences. At this point, I am avoiding those spiffy shiny new series like the plague. I think I'll stick to my Adachi Mitsuru and Osamu Tezuka, thank you very much. |

Naruto, code geass, ttgl, inuyasha, most gundam show (not the orignal that ones awsome), 99% of all mech anime, dragonball (includes z and gt), and bleach yes I noticed I've raged on the most popular anime of the last 10-20 years but I don't care
