@DamnitsCloudy, although EVA has some nudity, you have to consider that these are children that are being shown naked. In no way is it made overly sexual. Nudity in EVA is there for a reason, also if you think about it, only Rei, Shinji, and Kaoru (and Misato briefly) are ever naked. Nowadays, a little nudity in films isn't a big deal anymore, also most actresses are hesitant about being nude lately, so the actors and actresses in the live action movie are likely to not be nude. Overall though, EVA will most likely be PG-13 or probably R. There's absolutely no point in making it for an NC-17 audience who can't see the film if the majority of the EVA audience are teenagers, right? HUGE EDIT! Finally, there has been some new developments in the EVA world! FOUR NEW EVA MOVIES! I can't believe it! AWESOME! |

Hey thanks a lot! I'm saving all of these pics! If only the movie version looks that good! And I guess this thread is revived, that's promising. At the very least, when the real movie comes out, this thread'll come back again. |

Thanks for the replies on my question (even tho alot of people could take it the wrong way lol). Now heres an even dumber question from your's truely. Is the show edited when it airs on cartoon network or is it just how it was in Japan (besides being dubbed). I'm not trying to be pervy about it, I'm gonna buy the series on DVD anyway, I just wanna know if theres a diff between the origonal(sp?) and the one on CN now.  Marse Hughes |

@DamnitsCloudy, glad I could help! Neither of your questions are dumb at all. As far as I know, EVA on Adult Swim is pretty much unedited. I know that the second episode added some additional fuzz to Shinji's already fuzzed out "area". That's really about it. There might be other things but I doubt you'll even notice them. Basically, what you're seeing is what you're buying. Also, buy the Platinum series it's very well done, and has extras and extended episodes and cool stuff like that...^_^ |

Mostly are concept arts, 'n posters! Bloodymoon-san, can yae search for the particular article yourself? Gomen, I just can't because it'll take so much time to check them one by one, loading those humongous pics with a 28.8 kbps connection (XD). I was using one of the computers in the university's library when I was searching for NGEvangelion: LA pics. I believe they're using broadband! ~envies~ ROQ-san, I assume fans would be dying to see the eps even if they'll only be gathering 6 eps ("Prologue Arc") of 'em, right? Then there'll be good reason to produce more sequels in the long run! >:D |

Can't we stop this? I mean how crappy is this movie going to be with real actors? They are going to turn a real good anime into another way to make money if all goes well. If it doesn't, can anybody realize the amount of money that will be lost? Now if the thing is to make another movie for evangelion, then they should keep it as it was supposed to be. As anime.

I can understand where you're coming from, but please realize that it's better to have tried than to wonder. You might as well chance a live version of EVA. If there was any anime series I could see as live action, it would be EVA (or Cowboy Bebop). Quite frankly, if you had a choice between EVA live or Dragonball Z live(seriously,they are making it), which would you choose? As for ANOTHER animated EVA movie, it seems unnescessary. I mean they already made two, one of em was basically a 2 hour clip show and the other was very well done, but also really depressing. As for loss in money, movies in Hollywood lose money all the time. I mean, crap like Gigli and Bloodrayne were made and all lost money. Those movies had no chance in the first place, I believe Evangelion has a shot. It's up to Hollywood to take it. |

| Lets just hope they dont screw up aspects that made the anime great, i like the design of the Eva's btw, it looks good but we'll see, hopefully they dont ditch the project near complition though, that would suck. |

@Xaria, sorry to disappoint you, but there has been no new word on the release, however, expect it in 2007 or '08. Some good news though, they finished the script for the EVA movie, so they just have to bet to filming now. Things are hopefully gonna start moving forward over the next few months. |

@ケイ, I'm still not sure who the actors are though. Since the script is finished though, they can send it to well known actors and directors to read. These directors and actors will either accept or deny the role from that point. That;s pretty much how the movie biz works, so as I said earlier, expect to see some big moves foward this year. Hopefully they'll get a good director, since a good director can bring good actors. |
