Death: you can read it here (http://www.onemanga.com/Soul_Eater/), but the quality of the pages in the first 14 or so chapters is kinda bad, and there are no colour pages since they were scanned from the books as opposed to the magazine. personally, if i can find both the manga and the anime, i'll typically check out both. what annoys me is that a friend of mine will give up reading and collecting an anime series (if it's been published in english) if she's seen the anime. even if the anime is completly different from the manga in terms of plotline. which really annoyed me when she watched the Ouran High School Host Club anime and stopped buying the books (when i was borrowing them from her) >.< she refused to listen to me when i told her that the ending was totally different from the manga (which isn't even finished yet)! someone (other than me, since that doesn't work) should inform her that the endings for animes are craptastic compared to the manga ones... i kind of agree with you on the dubs thing, but i'll watch them on the odd occasion. sometimes it just needs getting used to. i hated the FMA dub for the longest time, but watched it anyway. i ended up becoming a Vic Mignogna fangirl by the end ^^; it's kind of a roulette as to whether or not a dub will be good, as well as personal opinion. anyway, i'm rambling...the new episode (37, i think?) should be out soon! did the schedule change? they've been coming out a lot earlier since Tadashi and Rumbel got C&D letters...  |

I think they're trying to get as many episodes done before the final date they have to stop maybe thats why they are coming out early and thanks for the website

^^ I luv the japanese voices- they're really cool- i think it's a shame that sometimes subs come out... not so good. i used to read from onemanga as well ! but when i stopped my brother CANNOT stop telling me spoilers T_T especially as it's so far ahead- i'd sock him over the head- but he's way tall... ¬¬ i find most of the time they stick to plot lines except for the dreaded fillers which "*%^&&$$£"^%&&*.............." !!   |

it's a matter of opinion really. Japanese voices often do sound better, but i think it's mostly because we're used to them and then get a set idea of how a character should sound from that. but not all of them are good. i wouldn't be able to list a specific example (that'd be attempting to go through the massive database in my brain), but there are always cases. bad subs could be for a number of reasons; lack of experience subbing, the person who translated either didn't get an editor or the language being translated to/from isn't their first or best language, quality of the raw, popularity of the series (which typically determines how quickly they'll be released), rush jobs to get them released quickly, etc. i actually don't mind spoilers ^^; i find they make me want to watch/read/play whatever more, since i want to see it with my own eyes. if not, i'll read it anyway, and it doesn't necessarily take away the experience of finding out for yourself. like, i knew kind of what happened in Gurren-Lagann before i watched it, but it didn't stop me from being pumped up or incredibly sad at the various parts. ha-ha, fillers are usually for the longer running series with no set amount of episodes, as famously demonstrated by Bleach and Naruto. they tend only to put in fillers if the original authour approves or if they're deviating from the original plot with series like Soul Eater, which have a predetermined amount of episodes. or if they like a certain character, such as the second Excalibur episode... i find myself not particularly liking long-running anime series for the reason of fillers, plus when they do decide to end them (even when the manga's not finished, in the case of InuYasha), the endings tend to leave you thinking "that's not an ending! walking off into the sunset doesn't resolve anything!". i've unfortunately seen several series (long-running or otherwise) that have ended like this, and it's gotten to the point where my dad and i joke about certain things having "anime endings". |

^^ i think you've said it all there ! i find the excalibur episodes funny- yet sometimes really annoying- in the preview for it ( on i think episode 31 or 32 ) when they said the name over and over again, when i heard it the next time i literally screamed : P still, i find fillers annoying- the latest Bleach one with the princess was too inappropriate- you slap in a spoiled princess Ichigo does this and that and after so many weeks we go back to find that the Captains have come to save ALL of them ( ichigo, Ishida, Chad, Rukia etc. ) don't get me started on the 1st captain.... but yh, i know what you mean about endings, they can be disappointing but i still enjoy the pumping adrenalin i get from watching fights in Naruto and the build up to endings- but not Bleach..... ( you may want to stop reading now, before you want to commit suicide from reading all of this :D ) |

Excalibur's hilarious because he's so annoying. that is what his character is obviously created for. Okubo-sensei did a good job on that one XD ah, i just skipped through the whole filler and waited for the actual original plot to start up again before starting to watch |D what really annoyed me about the fillers was that it was right in the middle of the damn Hueco Mundo arc. FOR NO GOOD REASON. it was just one random big flashback! at least the first ones made sense transition wise! they were technically on a break after Rukia was rescued! the Naruto Shippuden ones, however, are either lengthening certain scenes to almost DBZ proportion and drawing out the action for little reason. and the fillers, from what i saw, kind of intermingled with the original plotline, which i didn't like, so i gave up watching altogether. Bleach, particularly the manga, has actually been exciting me more than Naruto lately. i dunno, there are just so many unexpected twists in it as opposed to Naruto, where you either see them from a mile away or they're just too "WTF?". ...we really shouldn't be discussing other animes in the Soul Eater topic XD |

Dark insanity |: right, right ;P if you mean by good job, Excalibur makes people want to smash their computer screens, then you're definitely right. Apart from those episodes, i love watching Soul Eater, at the very least when they fight, there's ( in my opinion ) not as much talking as other anime, sorry here, i dont want to get started here on Bleach again ^^ ( beacuse if i do... ) anyways, yh, i find the fights a lot better maybe not as good as Naruto but better than a certain other anime- ( cough ) btw, who do you think will be stronger, Maka and Soul with the demon's power up kinda thing, Black Star with Fey blade ( or Dark blade in some subs ) or Kid with his soul resonance ? They all seem strong with them- sorry i don't read the manga, so if things are progressing more already there, plz don't spoil it for me ;) Ren |: Glad you're loving it too ^^, whose ur fave character so far ? oh, and say how many episodes you've watched, incase i spoil it :P.... P.P.S: I've checked out the New Bleach thread- and everyone seems to be enjoying it there, so i dont want to spoil it by putting my views in there and it's long enough- also, i have a feeling if i said what was on my mind about it, I would get ripped to pieces there :S |

@Mokona: i'm sure there are several people who don't read the manga, so don't stress too much on that *laughs* @bansho: Kilik is cool. he's my brother's favourite character. I'm totally into Soul Eater! And i See many fans here :3~ And we totally should compar![for insanity comment XD] I think as series that had a big lengh, Soul Eater onlly compairs with One Piece [untill now XD~]. Like great plot! with great chars!!! What i can ask more!? ah! marvelous grafics +_+ hehehe I'm onlly in anime BTW. I didn't like the grafics on manga DX They all looked like chibis XDDDD Maka Rocks and The twins wepons are the most cute thing in the serie untill now XD   |

(i'm assuming she anyway...not many guys say "kawaii"). see? i told you that you aren't the only one XD @fabiana: err, no offense, but i'm having trouble deciphering what exactly you're trying to say >.< do you mean "let's compare Soul Eater to other series"? in which case, i have to disagree with your One Piece suggestion. i find Fairy Tail (a series done by the guy who did Rave Master) is closer to One Piece in both characterization and plotline (if you haven't read it, i suggest you do). as for Soul Eater...i'm not really sure what you could compare it to. i kind of agree with you on the art for the manga ^^; it is a bit off at times, but it's actually improved dramatically since the start. i'm not quite sure how to describe it, but i do agree with you; the anime's art is more appealing then the original art. i dunno; i like analyzing the differences and improvements an artists gradually makes as they progress through a series. i do it with Bleach, Naruto, Black Cat, anything. there's one thing that's confused me since the start of the series. are weapons human with weapon forms, or the other way around? Soul stated at the start of the series that he technically wasn't human (comparing himself with Jack the Ripper), but there are so many factors that contradict that idea. what are everyone else's thoughts? |

I also only watch the anime for Soul Eater. Though when it ends, I might check out the manga for the continuation of the story. @Insanity My 2 sen on the human-weapon thingy. Personally, just like how you cannot teach a computer to 'act' human no matter how advanced their AI is, I think the 'human who can turn into weapons' option is more likely. I also remember Patty and Liz saying they were 'born' into this world as they are, roaming the streets and mugging people before they met Kid.

@uwai: hm, true enough. it's just confusing because Tsubaki comes from a family of weapons descended from the original and somehow has inherited most, if not all of the forms of her ancestors, and then there's Soul's comment...i don't know >.< it's kind of hard to determine these things, because there's very little background information on many of the characters (and most that we have seen/heard is very vague, in my opinion). i just want to learn more >.< the characters and premise is so interesting, and i want to figure out what makes them tick. @Mokona: well, when you've hung out around various forums and such, where it's common practice to "read between the lines", like i have, you tend to get into the habit of doing so ^^; i find it fun anyway. just don't ask me to start arguing about pairings <.< that's one thing i don't want to start doing again >.< i'm sticking with just discussing plotline and backgrounds. um, new topic, since no one else seems to analyze things like i do XD (this is also another common practice in forum topics; change the topic once it starts dying to keep the thread alive) what kind of songs or bands do you think suit the various characters in Soul Eater? it can be serious or out of fun, whatever. i'll give my thoughts after someone else has given ideas. |

Conclusions = One: I have to change the avatar XD @Insanity ah... humm... lol I just wanted to say in my last post that is cool comparing other series cause... it is cool see what you think about about other anime... fool reason... i know... [P.S.: I read Fair Tale... too crazy for me DX lol... I still like more Luffy's(One Piece main char) determination more then anything XD] About Weapons X real humans looks like in the episodes with aracne it apears some hints abot the diferences. Weapons, are in some way, fruit of one of Aracnes powers in the past... looks like she lost some transform powers and from it borned the Weapons. I still dunno. But this was what i got from that episode. BTW... Call me Dfly ^^ aaahh new topic XD I think Black matches with Black Star XD Well better! I think the OST of Soul Eater is really well done! Every music matches perfectly with which char :"D. Look for it if you haven't it yet ^^ |
