But if they have been banned, doesn't that mean that they can't do anything about them?

We can ask Gendou to delete them, but if they're still active without their authors, there's no need to get rid of them...

Ello... If I just interrupted something important than I'm sorry.
However I noticed all threads are in use or have already started. Is it ok to join when its already on page 43 ...145 2 etc...? Just a question of er... any customs here ...

Sorry, Eraendall

It's alright. Do you mean that you want to join an RP that's on like the 43rd page or so? Cause you can join any RP at all, but if it has a storyline you should probably ask first. You are free to join whatever RP.

Ok people. We once again have WAY TOO MANY threads goin on right now. I would like to ask everyone to go out and ask anyone in control of a dead thread to delete the first post in that thread so it disappears and stops cluttering this forum. We do not need three pages worth of different RP's. It would be really nice if we could keep it down to two pages at most. No one person is going to take the time to post in EVERY thread anyways. So, if you are in control of a thread that hasnt had a post in several weeks or can talk to some who is in control of one of those threads, please delete your first post and stop the RP spamming.

I've asked all the ones I said I'd take care of. Some thought they could revive the threads, but some of them haven't...

We need to tell the owners of the dead end threads to get rid of their threads and how to do it, because apparantly, some don't how. This is how, you remove the first post of the thread...

Shouldn't we tell people not to make useless threads. I think it would be a lot easier.

but if we tell them that, wont that discourage people from joining an RP?

@sky -we might be sending teh wrong message if we do that

Joining an RP is fine, but sitting and leaving your dead RP to stagnate is not.
We need to encourage people to remove their threads after they're made.
That way we can observe which one's will sink and which will take off.
The losers have their creators notified and we askfor the threadsremoval and the winners get to stay.
This way no one feels threatened.

Nothing eliminates the fanbase like being a bastard. No we can't just tell them to stop making useless threads or start making them do anything. The only thing we can do is to ask them to delete their threads if they die out.

Well there isn't really a specification for dead threads. Basically it's considered dead when there hasn't been a post for weeks, or if it doesn't get over like 300 posts.

For me a dead thread = no posts for 20 days.

Okay, now to start my rant, it doesn't really matter what we do. There will always be somebody who thinks they came up with great idea for a thread and create it without reading or searching beforehand. (Or it could be that they just don't give a F*CK. It is due to somebody that I feel the need to curse. Please excuse me.)

If this really is important to us, I think we should tell Gendou to do something. My first thought was to suggest a rule page appearing before making a thread, but after a while, I decided only to share it here.

what about 21 days? or 19 days...J/K

Either way, dead threads are ignored and popular ones thrive,Survival of the fittest,Darwin's specialty.

I don't think we should delete dead threads, its not our bandwith,so just ignore them.
