I believe in hotness-recognition at first sight. I don't think one can fall in love at first sight. More like fall in love with that person's appearance, or feel like this could be the one. To say that one is dead sure though.. That's crazy. How can you love someone you've neber met? Pfft! I think we all know nowadays looks can be bery deceiving -_-... *pat pats Abe* O_o

Yah I believe in it... and that's because I have experienced it... alot of times now... but the sad truth about love at first sight are this: 1. Do you think they know you... if so... do you think that he/she will love you the way you want him/her to love you or that he/she loves you the way you love him/her 2. Are you sure that you two are meant to be... if you're that positive about yourself... why don't you think he/she never ask... 3. Can you really get him/her...Life's tough... and so is love... 4. Are you certain that there aren't anything that can block the two of you together (money, parents, etc) be sure about it first... But of all those things there is only one solution: "If you want the love... go get it... if there is something blocking your way...fight to get through...if you fail... you should stand up... and find the love again...even if it takes you years... and even if you got hurt over and over again...once you found it... you can say that all your hard work had paid off... or if you didn't find it you can say to yourself that atleast you have tried..."

I change my mind. Yes, there is love at first sight. Love is an emotion. Love is like lust. But that's just my opinion. 
So I drove into a parking lot one time and saw this person pull into a handicap parking spot. When you think handicap, you think wheelchair and whatever, right? So it just ticked me off when I saw the guy come out of the car perfectly fine. So then I ran him over. |

love at first sight is true if you realy know whats the real meaning of love, in japan they dont usually use "love" in confession its "like"  |

No, what comes at first sight is in fact lust. To have love you have to like the person's personality. Nowadays people mistake lust with love, and they get married , and then divorce. Lust wears off after a period of time. if you don't love that person you'll hate each other then.  DON'T SLAP THE MONKEY!! |

for me.., no i don't believe in love at first sight,, because knowing the person really well is important in deciding wether or not the person deserves your love and not just by mere looks only... remember: looks can be deceiving...(most of the time...) it is my personal opinion but i'm always open for objections...:)   |

Hey, I wrote a paper on this in English class! In it, I explained that love at first sight, TRUE LOVE at first sight, is virtually impossible. Love requires trust, and commitment. I even wrote that this 'love at first sight' is probably just lust, at first at least. With time, someone can love. So, the answer is... no. I was a person back then. I could smile and laugh and... feel. All the colors... all the hurt... all the laughing... it all went away. All of them. They used words like brain damage... and cerebral trauma. But even then I understood. I was safe... safe from the bad thing. |

It's obviously NOT love... love is about when you really know about the person in front of you.. Inner and outer. How can you just get easily LOVE the person by physical appearance. It's called INTERESTED.. And it's totally different... @Aan : Agree with ya  |

^ I'd have to go with the two people above me here the whole concept of Love at first sight is completely illogical you can't love someone you've never met before and don't know anything about aside from physical appearance  |

I guess it depends what you think love at first sight is. I mean to look at someone and feel love for them yeah but what are you looking at? Their looks? or something else? Often it tends to be their looks which ends up being more of lust/fatuation. But I do believe there is a time where you can look at someone and feel love for them because what you are seeing isn't so much with your eyes as your own heart/soul. I think of love at first sight more of a cosmic connection. But again you'd have to believe in that sort of spiritual ideals. |
