Dragonball Evolution was a Joke. Hence, why I said that it takes alot to go into a movie and DB:Evo didn't seem to have HALF of what it took. The story seemed like they took a script, put it through a shredder, then picked out the lucky random pieces of paper and put it back together. They thought special effects would work; It didn't. A long time fan of the franchsie like myself was -disgusted- at the movie. I guess it was meant to try and reach out to a new fan base, one that had never seen the original DB/DBZ, which is why I tried to watch it as if I never saw the original series ... That didn't work. @Matsuo — It's all Hollywood; and once High School Musical 3 went to theaters and Efron starred in "17 Again", he became a Hollywood star. Same with Miley, once her Hannah Montana movie hit the big screen. They are good actors, but they haven't had a chance for -serious- big roles yet. Efron is close to getting that, and Cyrus won't be far behind unless she decides to pursue music rather then acting, which may be the case. |

No seriously, these Japanese copyright owners need to do something here. I don't care if I'm not involved, but if people are going to make a movie about my series in America, they better label it something totally not relating to Japan or myself at all. I mean these directors have the audacity and the balls to attempt such a daring career choice of a film. If I ever saw one of them in real life, I'd scold their brains out and let them know what's up. Only real fans are going to get what's going on here, obviously, like the DBZ movie, but still. Dubbing anime has hardly changed for the past two and a half decades, and these directors know nothing about the original content of the movies they're 'trying' to re-create! F#ck Hollywood, man. I'm not even the largest Death Note fan anymore, but these things pisses me off big time. [EDIT] Oh, I might start another club here. BURN HOLLYWOOD DOWN or something.

The man is an insanely awesome actor, but he wouldn't be playing L for the simple fact he's what, 40? And also the fact that L is asian/white, and good'ol Samuel is black — Bit of a difficulty there. |

Ha ha- after Shuyin's arguments, I agree we should try and keep an open mind about this. Still something i'm none too happy about, but yeah- give it a go peeps! Samuel L jackson? Geez, just cuz the name kinda matches, you've got to respect the fact that L isn't 40+ heh (or black) |
