Hey Loco de Lobo, congrats! For the rest of your life, you know you will always be remembered as a hero, it's an honor to even know you! *clap clap clap bow* The girl is forever indebted to you too, enjoy life!^_^

*ahem*
@Jomunga,
Sweet potatoes to lycanthrope(w/ anime handicap) no sweat:

1.In Tenchi Muyo, Sasami frequently cooks with sweet potatoes and other vegetables,
2.Her pet is Ryo-oh-ki,
3.Ryo-oh-ki can shapeshift into many different things, including ships and animals.
4.This makes Ryo-oh-ki technically a lycanthrope.

or

1.In Tenchi in Tokyo, Sasami frequently cooks with sweet potatoes and other vegetables,
2.Both Sasami and Yusuke from YuYu Hakusho live in the same general area of Japan.
3.Yusuke's teammate is Hiei,
4.In the Dark Tournament, Hiei fights a guy called Poison Peach Boy.
5.Poison Peach Boy can shapeshift from a human to a wolf, phoenix, and a monkey.
6.This makes him a lycanthrope.

*whew*
No bad at all, handicaps make it more interesting...

Try this: connect a vanship from Last Exile to Ed from Cowboy Bebop using only anime.

@Sachiel, happy birthday, my friend! You're older than me now...^_^ Have fun!

@AnimeAngel, you never need a reason to feel happy, just be happy! remember Sero's sig...Don't Forget to Smile Always!

I wish everyone the best!

Angel, Yea for happyness. Mabey it's the sleep you've been getting. Sleep is good get more of it.

Loco, good thing the city has more common sense than your school, did the school even know you saved somone. If not, they realy are quite ignorant.

Sacheil, good job on getting the 1337 post, it is 1337, this thread is 1337, you're 1337, I'm 1337, were're all 1337. (massive overuse, going into 1337 shock)

Connecting
Sin-city to bone marrow
in sin-city there is a charter who is gold
gold is often used as fillings for teeth
teeth are types of bones
bones have bone marrow (obviously)

Sweet potatoes to lycanthrope
(this might not count, depends on your srtictness)
sweet potatoes were sold begining in the Meiji era
Kenshin (samuri x) is from the Meiji era
Kenshin is scarred for life and so is ED
ED is from FMA
in FMA the humunculi can shape shift
a lycanthrope can shape shift

Vanships to ED
Vanships use claudia
Claudia is a girls name
Ed is a girl? oh well
or
Vanships are part of my fav anime of all time
Cowboy bebop was also my fav anime till I saw Last Exile
Ed is in Cowboy Bebop

Here's mine connect the word lachrymose to the Golden Globes.

Jokes! Almost as good as a royale with cheese. (yea metric)
One tequila, two tequila, three tequila, floor.

AWESOME LOBO!! Thou art truly a rabid wolf *thumbs up and diagonal*

Ed and a vanship... Never seen Last Exile, but I don't need to!

1: A vanship is a sort of ship (I'm guessing ^_^)
2: The Bebop is a ship
3: Ed lives in the Bebop ^_^

See Animeangel? Being happy is soo cool ^_^ It makes you want to... Oh, I dunno, stay happy or something ^_~

ROQ, I'm just now older than you? Shouldn't I have been older than you your whole life...?

Do people REALLY need a reason to be happy?

I dont think I do.....but it does help to have a reason I guess.

Hey AnimeAngel......maybe its my saying:

"Dont forget to SMILE always ^_^"

Well that is good that you have a chance to pass, I am sure you will make it ^_^

Loco de lobo,

FINALLY some recognition!!! You should be looked at as a hero.
You saved a girls life!! I feel so happy for you that you are getting recognized for your act. Why does it seem in these times that we punish people for doing good? It just saddens me....but this makes me happy ^_^

Anyways.....sleep? what is sleep? LOLZ

I seriously need more sleep, but it is hard....I have only got like 4-5 hrs a day for the past month or so.

well...thats all I can think of right now.

@Sachiel, I only meant that we were both 15 for a while, now you're 16 and I'm 15. Obviously you were older than me, maybe I phrased it incorrectly, my mistake. Happy Birthday again! If you haven't seen Last Exile, watch it NOW! It's an amazing anime with amazing music, interesting tense story, beautiful visuals, and a strange sense of believability and elegance although the story is fiction. Not bad connections though for someone who hasn't seen the anime.

@Dirtyninja, lachrymose, which means tearful or tending to cause tears, to the Golden Globes:
1.The Golden Globes is an awards show,
2.The Oscars are also an awards show,
3.Halle Berry won a Best Actress Oscar in 2002,
4.She was, to put it simply, VERY lachrymose during her awards speech.

Not a bad Sin City connection, I really liked that movie...*ahem* Here's my super challenge: Connect Sherlock Holmes to the movie Saving Silverman. Try that on for size!
Hmmm...this challenge thing has really caught on huh?

I wish everyone the best!

Re: The Depression Thread Continued

Roq you might like this one.
Sherlock holmes was in the story Terror by Night
in Terror by Night he is tasked with finding the Star of Rhodesia, an enormous diamond
Neal diamond has the last name diamond
The two leads in saving silverman are in love with neal diamond
Yesssssssss! victory yet again.

Alright connect Jimmy Kimmel to the french revoution.

Re: The Depression Thread Continued
Link | by ROQ sees ya. on 2006-01-21 20:18:06
@Dirtyninja, blast! Foiled again! Moriarti shall return! Clever solution though...*ahem*

Jimmy Kimmel with the French Revolution...what a pain...

1.Jimmy Kimmel guest-starred as the drill instructor on an episode of Family Guy called "The Renaissance Guy",
2.In this episode, there is a Renaissance fair,
3.One of the items on display is a guillotine.(You know where I'm going with this),
4.The guillotine claimed the life of several nobles and even more peasants during the Reign of Terror,
5.The Reign of Terror was an unfortunate part of The French Revolution.

*hahahahahahahahha*
Try this: Connect John Grisham and a ninja. Ha.

Re: The Depression Thread Continued
Link | by D-ninja on 2006-01-21 21:24:35
Haha, a challenge! The game is afoot!
John Grisham wrote A Time to Kill
Sasuka from Outlaw Star had a specific "time to kill"
She was an Assassin
assassins are sometimes ninjas (more often than not)
Too easy.
Seanbaby to the OC

Re: The Depression Thread Continued
Link | by ROQ sees ya. on 2006-01-21 22:44:03
Blast, not bad again...the game IS afoot, and it smells like a certain Jolly Green Giant!

Here:

1.Seanbaby writes for EGM,
2.EGM reviewed Spiderman the game,
3.Spiderman the game was based on the film,
4.In the film, there's a trademark "upside down kiss",
5.In the OC, there is a pseudo-spoof of this scene between two characters.

Check and mate!

Try this: A shuriken to the movie "The Hours".

HA! ^_^

ok, i was away for almost a week and i'm too lazy to read what happened in the last 9 pages >.<

i'm really in a bad mood today >:( my computer caught 10 viruses and 67 spywares without me knowing and i have to completely format reinstall my OS(those friggin pop-up ads kept on pestering me every 1min).copying my documents folder to another hard-disk,which is about 27gigs,took me a whopping 6hours of waiting.

and if things didn't go bad enough, after setting 2 partitions on my main hard-disk and installing win xp on the first partition and debian on the second one, debian didn't detect my network card and i can't connect to the net to download the x-window and gnome software.guess i hafta use CLI for debian...

now back to my win xp,it was running smoothly at first but after awhile,it started to makes a few problems.downloading via ftp took me 1hour to download a 3megs file, and i'm using a 30gbps connection and a download manager >.< the azureus software had it even worst.after connecting, i waited for 2 hours to see if the download has finished and guess what?with 400 seeds and 2000 peers,it has not downloaded anything at all T.T, so, i have to reformat the hard-disk and do another reinstallation of win-xp.i wasted 3 days just to tweak and configure win-xp to the state before i reformatted it.at least everything running smooth...except for my easy realmedia producer...it took 4 hours to finish encoding a 25min anime than the usual 40min...guess there's still some stuff i hafta do to my pc...now to do something about my debian.anyone knows how i can install ethernet drivers for debian?

sorry for the long post and all that ranting >.< all that reinstalling and waiting is making me depressed...since i can't watch anime for 3 whole days >.< and is having a tired mind and body.especially my hands T.T too much typing and tweaking...

Aww you even gave me the anime titles, to generous.

Ok In Last Exile the pilot of a vanship becomes famous for his immellman turn and if I remember correctly while Ed from Cowboy Bebop is playing with her remote control plane she does an immelman turn and trys but fails with a hijacked plane.

Actually I want to thank you for reminding me about Last Exile. I think I will send it with the rest of the package to this new friend of mine.

ケイ,long time no see, you seemd to be good with computers. However it also seems you have virus and spyware problems. I don't even know how to get them. I have never gotten one, so I will tell you what I use in case your interested. Norton anti-virus,lavasoft ad-aware, adsgone popup blocker and I believe my firewall is off too. Also if I were to make a description name for you what would be alright? I can't think of anything. I went and made description names for every one for a letter, but I don't have one for you yet.

Anime this. salsa and a broomstick. Should be easy once you find a salsa reference.

Today or maybe tomarrow I am going to go to the mall and wander around. I am going to the far away mall that has the big book store so I hope I don't get lost on the way. Maybe I'll get some manga if they have a section for it. I just think I need to get out of the house more, its to hard metting people in your own house. Praying for fateful romantic encounter.

lessee...i'm using norton anti-virus 2005 with it's auto-protect option on,ad-aware se personal build 1.06r1, firefox with pop-up blocker on and my firewall is off.i update the software often and scan for spyware and viruses once a moon...a week ago,i switched off my anti-virus auto protect option for a few minutes, it was eating up my memory(100% cpu usage for some reason...) and i only had zoom player running and that's when the viruses starts to come in... >.<
i'm not that good with the computer.i learn some of these tweaks at school and some from a website where i copied from.i can't remember what site it is cause i always google for it ;)

been awhile since i last watched last exile...probably for more than a year already.really liked the opening theme.even since i watched that anime,i've been wondering what's an immelman :?and why dio called klaus immelman anyways..

Ranger
The name is derived from its inventor Max Immelmann, a WWI German Ace who devised the method. In reality, the version of the maneuver most people are familiar with today from air shows is not the maneuver that Max Immelmann found so successful but for our purposes we will describe both versions. that's the Immelman they talk about and what you see in airshows. The combat Immelman was a hammerhead stall with a higher energy factor. Go into a vertical climb until you have no more lift then kick full rudder and you nose over pointed straight down so you can regain proper airspeed for stall recovery. Immelman did that at full throttle. gonna have to try that.

L-r An immelman turn, Falcon 4 screenshot, EJECT, EJECT, EJECT,

did I say I wuz a pilot and that I like Last exile. Go find the AMV "flying with titiana" at animemusicvideos.org. ior search for Last Exile AMVs. Cool

Not to interrupt, but Ketsuki hasn't posted in a week now...

My computer has lots of bugs, but since I have just about no way to back up my files I'm not gonna wipe my HD ^_^

And Ranger, is last last pic of the pilot getting ejected real??

Sachiel, It has to be a f-16 only has one piolet, something bad must've happend.
And a thunderbird too, that must've been either really bad or really planned.

Roq, how 'bout this.
Shurikens are used by ninjas
Ninjas are like samuri
Samuri are bound to commit suicide when they lose honor
The movie "The hours" deals with suicide

Jomunga, Salsa and a broomstick hmmm.
In the movie spirited away there is a stand that has salsa (if I remember correctly)
The movie was directed by no other than Hayao Miyazaki
He also directed Kiki's delivery service
Kiki rides a broom.

ケイ, Dio called Klaus immelman because when he first saw him over battle of the episode arbiter attack. Klaus does an immelman and dio decides to test him and from that point on teases Klaus with the name until he's captured. I've said too much already. Hate to spoil it for anyone. If you want to know go watch it.

Aslo be gald you could backup your data, My HD died 6 months ago and I lost everything. Of course I needed a new one though, 13 gigs is a bit small.

Never thought anyone would get that...*ahem*
Awww, dirtyninja said what I was gonna say...okay, how bout this:

1.Angelus, a song from Inuyasha has a salsa beat,
2.In Inuyasha, Kagome lives in a shrine,
3.She has a grandfather,
4.He frequently has to clean up using a broomstick.

Kay, try this: connect Laputa to Motoko Kusanagi from GITS using only anime. Good luck, you'll need it.

I spent a long time wondering what the Immelman thing was about too, all because I missed the one episode that explains it...

That's not a challenge, that's was too easy.
Laputa is a Castle in the sky that has a population of robots
Major uses robots (tacikomas)
That took less than 4 steps you really are losing your edge.
I think that these have gathered enough popularity to make a thread about them.

Re: The Depression Thread Continued
Link | by ROQ sees ya. on 2006-01-22 17:03:41
Oh right, the robots...been a while since I saw that film...
See ya on the new thread.
Has anyone else noticed how slow this thread has been moving lately?

That is an F-16
That is a Thunderbird
That is absolutely for real
and he is in a whole lotta shit

Been through that 3 times in Vietnam. You don't practice those, each one is for real and true and you hurt mightily when you get down.

Isnt that good that this thread is slow?

It could mean 2 things:

1.No one is feeling drepressed!!! w00t!!!

2.No one is posting. NOOOO!!! that is not good, post post post!

Other than that.....

yeah it is slow.
