| I love japanese uniform. One is a maroon & gold color or lavander & gold. I look handsome. no twice as handsome while in uniform. and they come in so many colors for guys. |

i like their uniforms compare to my catholic school's uniform(uniform length should be at least below the knees)... But I don't detest being catholic, I just hate the uniform. |

Wearing uniforms is ok. I got use to them. So it's not a big deal. Many of my friends in America don't like the idea of wearing uniforms. |

I wouldn't like to wear an uniform myself, since everybody would be wearing it. The Anime Uniforms the girls wear are pretty, nice and short. The guys always wears stiff clothes. BTW: the unforms at the photo of angel_o_darc are ugly ones, they would look better if they weren't that big size (give the girls a smaller size clothing, ones whose fits them tighter and better) |

I would like to wear the uniform, depends on what it looks like of course. The plain suits are fine, military style.    |

i enjoy the fact that they have different uniforms as the seasons change.. we wear uniforms too, though, there are dress codes. my highschool now isn's a catholic school[i think] but, the skirts still need to be at least 3" below the knee.. and, we shouldn't wear sleeveless tops.. i think, rather than admiring the uniforms, i admire the climate there.. because, i think that the climate is the preference for their uniforms i mean, we can't wear long sleeves here~!! we'd fry to death~!! i've always thought that long-sleeved uniforms with mini skirts looked kawaii~!! <(^_^<    m y . I didn't mind wearing school uniforms when I was in Japan. It was something ordinary that you see every day. I still wonder why it's a big issue over here in the U.S. |

I've been over a lot of the world (mostly Asia) due to the nature of my father's work, and in some of the cases, I've worn a uniform. The problem with America wearing uniforms is that it's a very alien idea to us. As far as I can remember, America has very few times where we wear standardized clothing. Mostly up to now, the uniforms have been for private schools, and therefore, seems like a high-class idea to some, which a lot of students arn't ready for. This is heavily due to the fact that Americans have a lot of freedom (Compared with the citizens of countries like Japan) and we get laws here that would seem absurd in Japan (Like our loose firearms law, causing a lot of Japanese to think since it's so easy to get a gun in America, it's easy to get shot if you come here). So the reason it's a big issue with the young people is that it stifles their individualism, one of the biggest ideas that America is based on. It's purely a cultural dilemma. |

I see, mostly cultural differences. So you are saying Americans don't like wearing uniforms because they enjoy the freedom of not wearing them. |

| Pretty much. Americans have grown used to wearing what they want so they could make a fuss about it. But it's not as big a issue as I think you think it is. I'm pretty sure most people can get used to it quickly as long as the uniforms are comfortable and look nice. |

I don't really mind myself. It's always good wearing something else, I was just wondering why it's such a big issue with them. I think some Americans would get use to the idea, but not all. |
