@Jon : You're right. The character you use is mostly used for Online play. It would look weird if there were a bunch of Leonard's running around eh? I just started playing Metal Gear Solid Peacewalker. I am getting used to playing a Metal Gear Solid game on the PSP, though I prefer playing those type games on a console. It's very realistic, having taking care of soldiers. Mess Hall teams, Medic teams, Intel teams. The works. I'm really enjoying it. I'll have to do some side-missions and gather more soldiers though. I'm getting stretched thin with how many teams Kaz wants to develop XD. ![]() ![]() |

@Yuna - I know, it's just disappointing to create a character and then see him/her do pretty much nothing for the entire game besides stand around and be a third wheel. Once the PS Store goes back up on Tuesday (hopefully) I'd love to play some Co-op Peace Walker if you are willing to go through the trouble. There's no infrastructure mode, so we would have to set up Ad hoc Party on the PS3. Not sure if anyone else here has Peace Walker and a PS3. |

@Jon — Is it confirmed for Tuesday? I haven't been able to find anything about the store opening, and was about to post about it. It's cool we're getting the welcome back package, but I guess I feel like it'd be nice to actually have the package now that we're back, lmao. I guess I'm just pumped for Infamous and LBP. By the way, does anyone know if you can get the 2 PS3 games AND the 2 PSP games on the same PSN ID? I see people talking about getting the PS3 and PSP games, when I believed them to only have 1 PSN ID, and I thought you had a choice of either the PSP or PS3 package. It'd be nice if you get both, considering you have to own both systems and were without both systems online power for a month. |

I'm pretty sure you get both, Shuy. So 2 ps3 games and 2 psp games. I'm looking forward to my Wipeout and Super Stardust. My school semester ends and I finally go home on Tuesday, so I'll be able to get my mitts on Dragon Age II and Brink at long last, as well as Wipeout and SSHD. Then its only a few weeks to E3! ![]() |

[@Zaku] Nah, there's no Ninja storm 3's coming out by the end of this year, stop trolling. It'd be sweet though since this year everyone third game of a series is coming out it seems. Uncharted 3, Assassin's Creed 3 (Revelations), Resistance 3, Battlefield 3, Mass Effect 3, etc. Dude honestly, Brink DOESN'T even have a damn story. I was trolled into buying it. The game is not even that good at all. They hyped it up a lot, calling it the "future" of gamers, but they lacked a lot of important aspects of the game. The customization is great, although it sucks you have to re-earn points for new characters. The weapons are nice, but way too many are very similar so that's lacking. But here's the story, there is none. Thought I was going to spoil it for you, didn't you, but no seriously, there really isn't a story, and if there was one which there sort of is, they did a horrible job telling it within the campaign. You can beat both campaigns in like a few hours. [@Shuy] COD is all hype, Battlefield 3 is legit all real FPS game. You need real skill to win in Battlefield, where as in COD one person can just get a nuke and own everyone. And plus MW3 will be thrown out the window once IW wins their damn lawsuit. S#it's dragging out too much now. Battlefield 3 will probably lose to Black Ops cause it's not as hyped all the time like COD, and people think Battlefield sucks cause they're used to playing a more simpler game like Black Ops. I hate those dudes. If you see the new Battlefield 3 trailer/videos, you'll pre-order it immediately. lol And yeah, friggin' Naruto online is horrible though somehow I went 6-0 first six matches with a lag and owned everyone. Then yeah, lag started to screw me over, and even with Comcast it lags, wtf. I know online wasn't meant for the game but they said they were going to add it, might as well make it right dude. They should also improve story telling. It got better since there's boss battles, but after you beat the game having enough money to buy the rest of the items was a bit annoying. I googled any news about it, and found nothing and there's nothing about it from the creators yet. Plus I think it'll be released next Fall, cause they usually aim for a Fall release. And two years in between. Yeah, it's all manga based, but they need the anime to see how to reenact some of the big boss fights. I do think Naruto will end eventually, out of those three you named cause it has to end. If it does a Kube Tite and f#cking restart I'll seriously be pissed the hell off. As for a release this year no, I highly doubt it and if there is one, it's surely rushed, cause if they fully follow the manga, then possibly, as for the anime, they just like recently had Danzo killed. There's a lot left still, but I would bet a Fall 2012 release though, but who knows. There's no new Naruto Accel game either. [@Jon] I eventually joined a clan, but also participated in larger non-official squad matches, people get annoying, and they're on my own freaking team. I had a killer K/D ratio but people were more worried about capturing s#it without thinking. The one time I went like 76-10 and got a lot of "hater" comments after the match was over. Luckily for me, I wasn't using my mic, so the mic volume was set to "negate haters" mode. And about the PS3 package thing, Wipeout HD apparently is a free PSN+ game to begin with, wondering why they're having it as a game you can get (once again free). Maybe they added a price to it or something, I'unno, I gotta check when PSN+ goes online. And jesus it's taking a long time to plat the Sly collection. I'm going to have this game for a long time, then again I don't play it every day. ![]() ------- |

Where did you hear that from? I've been searching about it randomly but nothing at all. Plus there's no way they'd make it this early since they just released the last game last year. I doubt they'd plan to make a FOURTH, that's a bit farfetched as far as I'm concerned. And about Brink, I try not to spoil it but honestly even if I did, nothing would be different. There is absolutely no story. Nothing. You simply just play the objective base missions 10 times for each side. There's the security side and the resistance side, and the missions are the same just flipped around for the other side. So if you're defending something on the security side, when playing as resistance you'll be attacking. Also the AI is rahtarded and doesn't help you at all making it even harder since it's time based. You definitely cannot run'n'gun here, and there's no way you can set a charge without the other team ganging up on you. I tried online, and it's whatever. More challenging since it gets rid of the dumb AI but nothing interesting as well. There are releasing a new map pack, for hello, like 15$ Sorry guys. I'm not telling you to get it, but I played it, beat it, tried online, it's nothing of what it claimed to be. For shooters yeah, click to the obvious popular ones cause they're GOOD. Battlefield 3 all the way baby. I still have my pre-order code that I never redeemed (cause of PSN), if Maiku wants it I'll give it to him. It's the amazon pre-order. ![]() ------- |

@Maiku — I hope you're right. That means I need to check out the list of PSP games now! @DA — I know COD gets a lot of hype, but it's never really had an effect on me. After all, I'm not really a FPS guy -- but I agree with you totally. Some of the big time fans think COD is the greatest thing ever, and other games like BF suffer or get a less-than-worthy reception because of it. MW3's story though sounds interesting to me, and BF3 just looks -Oh my god- amazing. It all depends on the money I have this holiday season, and what games are out when. I'll prolly lean towards MW3 if I have to choose one to get first, though, since I know most of my friends will have that one first and that would be what I play online with them. Plus there's the story that sounds pretty interesting. For Naruto, yeah, it'd prolly end before the others -- based on the way things are going. But hey, Bleach had a perfect place to end things, felt like it could be ending, and then did what seems like a reboot. I don't think Naruto would do that, but I could see Naruto doing a timeskip or something again. It all depends on the way the story goes from here on, of course, which may have enough material in this war and the final battles to last another two years. For the game though, I think we could see an early 2012 release, but they may wait so they get the holiday season shoppers and put the game off until Fall '12. I still think there's plenty of material to do a 3rd one now, though, and I'm almost certain that they will plan on a 4th game. There's way too much story to wait till the series ends and try to fit it all into Ninja Storm 3. Lastly, I heard that Brink is indeed just a horrible game. You mentioned the story and I hear that, plus the game itself, just isn't that great. You have to give props to the marketing department for Brink though; they made it look amazing. xD |

[@Shuy] COD's easier to play than Battlefield, which is why most people prefer it more. People who think they're hot s#it in COD fail at Battlefield cause it requires real skill and strategic thinking. Also you can't no scope snipe people and headshot then in BF like you can in COD, friggin' BS. COD's arcade-y, thus easier to get into, but BF to me is more of a real platform shooter. MW2 may have sold more than BF:BC2, but arguably the better game was BF. In battlefield, you can destroy houses with tanks, C4, rocket launchers, you get more weapons to choose from, UAVs whenever you want, medic kits, actual classes, etc. I mean suicide kamekaze diving in a helicopter was fun as hell in BF:BC2. And like I said before, MW3 will instantly be removed once IW wins their lawsuit. I mean they already released Black Ops now they're trying to get more money (cause clearly BF3 will rape any other shooter this year). About a possible third Ninja Storm, I think next year would be the best, depending where the manga goes. If Saske gets back into action soon, it'll probably stretch out a bit then some final battle goes down. The only real enemies left are Madara, Kabuto, and Sasuke. Then again they can really drag this entire war out, but it's obvious all the summons from Kabuto are going to loose regardless. They do have more material, but the way they already did the story in the second game, they might rush it, might as well end it on the best call first. Cause only after the Pain/Naruto fight, it drags on a bit until more fights begin. There's plenty of time to fix things that already needs to be fixed, I'm not worried about how they'll do the story mode. I just hope they make the running around collection random stuff feature of the game a bit more exciting. But I think we'll see another Accel game before a Ninja Storm game, that'll tell me if there's going to be another Ninja Storm game by next year period. And yeah, Brink sucks. Don't get it. ![]() ------- |

Oh what you're saying with MW3, what do you mean removed? The way you made it sounds was like it would be scrapped and pulled from the shelves. I may be losing your point, but if that was it, I don't see any way that would happen. I knew there was the legal stuff going on, but maybe I don't know eveeerything. As for Ninja Storm, It would be nice for a more exciting collection aspect, but it's not like I really hated or disliked the current one. It could get tedious, though. As for story mode as a whole, I rather enjoyed it. Maybe some tweaks here and there, and maybe the addition of more features or more to do would be fun. |

Activision and IW (who deserves credit for BLACK OPS!!!) are in a lawsuit for unpaid wages, and they also filed a lawsuit against Activision to claim the MW franchise. Since Treyarch are for some reason beginning work on MW3, if IW wins both their lawsuits, they have to remove MW3 immediately. It's not even released yet but they're showing small sneak peaks and releasing scans like pu$$ies. Activision needs to man up. Personally I don't get how they got permission in general to start making it, since their distributor company is in an on-going lawsuit for the very franchise they're starting to make. This was a huge story when IW got fired, where you at? And yes, there's not that much replay value playing Ninja Storm 2 by yourself since online blows. Guess we'll see what happens, but I can almost guarantee if another Accel game is made, then Ninja Storm 3 is as good as confirmed. ![]() ------- |

No, I know all about the story, that's not it. I mean even if the stuff in court goes their way, MW3 has the official trailer coming out Tuesday, pre-orders going on, and the game is pretty much done. What I'm getting at is no matter the outcome in court, Im pretty sure MW3 is still going to happen. What may be done if the future of the series could be in question, but I don't think anything in court would have an effect on MW3. If they got cleared to make the game, they obviously know that no matter the outcome in court the ownership and distribution of MW3 won't be effected. Otherwise there's no way they would have done anything until the business in court was settled. There's no way. |
Re: Gendou Gamers Club 2

Actually you're wrong, the court has all the power to do anything to a game. In Russia, I believe MW2 was blacklisted because of the airport scene. A trailer doesn't mean anything, it's just a video. And pre-orders mean nothing as well, especially at this point in time. What you're saying doesn't make sense, cause if IW wins their lawsuit, get paid, and owns the MW franchise, you're saying it's still okay for Activision to distribute MW3 to the public? That'll only lead to further lawsuits and money lose. To straighten it out, Treyarch began working on it, Activision doesn't work on the game itself, just handles the manufacturing of it and sales. They should've been smart and said "hey guys, we're in a lawsuit here, can you not work on MW3 until we win?" Simply working on the game before IW gets full ownership of the series doesn't make it rightfully theirs to even work on. Not only that, look at what engine they used for Black Ops. "IW Engine". Tell me what's right here? That should be another lawsuit. Games get pulled and delayed all the time, and because "MW3" is a controversial title right now, it should be handled with caution, however these guys who screwed IW over in the first place, want to rub salt on their wounds and try to milk more money out of idiots. Game companies can make games, but there are rules before you're able to sell them to the public, and even after selling it to the public, it can be banned in a matter of minutes. And people are crazy to think they're going to released two COD games in a single year. Cause if they do, it's probably rushed, will ruin what the MW had built, and just milk another COD game after that. Trailers throw people off. Simply a trailer is just a sneak peak, a release date can be years in advance (e.g. TLG). ![]() ------- |

What Im saying is if they have the right to create and distribute MW3, whatever the court ruling will most likely not directly effect the game. You say they can do anything with a game, that's right, which also means they could leave MW3 as is and not include that in the verdict. Listen, the last thing I want to talk about is the legal system, so I won't bother with it anymore. Bottom line being, there's a bit of reading between the lines involved here. They're making MW3, and they're releasing it this fall. They wouldn't be doing that unless they knew that at least MW3 would be unphased. If they went ahead and were putting the game out there, only to have it delayed because the franchise is taken by someone else, they'd be idiots. They would know nothing about the industry or the case they're involved in. They obviously know something, so they're going ahead with MW3. Sure, they could do all this in the hopes that the court goes their way, so they're basically doing all this in advance so they don't fall behind -- but they could easily work on something else if they weren't sure about the future of MW3 and leave MW3 for later. Since they're going ahead with it, that tells me they know something perhaps everyone else doesn't. Anyway, getting past legal talk cause it's just so fun e.e; -- everything points to the PSN Store being up tuesday, which means we get our free games! At least that's what all these various places are saying. I've even been playing some Black Ops tonight randomly. Taking advantage of the 2x xp. |

This is the biggest FPS gaming franchise to date, and one of the biggest gaming names in the history of game. Everything, EVERYTHING is online, either correct or incorrect. The fans are split, leaning towards IW, or just want to play more COD. I'm going to say this, and then I'll stop cause it's not really going anywhere. We have our opinions. This is mine: The whole lawsuit started not even during Black Ops. Apparently they weren't even paid for MW2!! Although the main lawsuit right now is Activision not paying IW their money for Black Ops and Treyarch claiming the game for themselves. There are things 'between the lines', such as traitors within IW secretly trying to take down IW before Activision fired them, or the fact that they lied and just wanted to use IW before firing them and then not pay them! This is basically what Activision did, they promised IW bonuses and more money to make the next COD. After they did, they fired them, refused to pay them, and then later sued them because they "quit". Horrible much? IW fighting back and since then have joined EA so now they're involved, and opened up their own company called Respawn Entertainment I believe. Everybody knows this, especially with COD, people are going to keep buying it, thus why Activision is going to continue to try to keep the series going and milking it. So they can "make more money". They don't care how well the game does, only if it does well to the point Black Ops did, cause they make more money. You say the court is not going to do anything regardless as if they're already about to let Activision win the lawsuit. Activision will only have co-ownership of MW franchise with the original IW heads, as far as I know. If IW wins, they will co-own it together (between the two IW heads) and Activision has "no right" to work on MW "or distribute it". COD and MW have become two separate titles within itself (sort of like BF and BF:BC). I don't see how Activision will win in terms of not paying IW what they rightfully deserve. But you see basically this is what will happen if MW3 releases (not sure when the hearing is yet). MW3 releases, sells a lot like it will, whatever. If Activision wins (forget about the unpaid wages they need to pay IW for MW2 and Black Ops), they only get half ownership of the MW franchise, so they still have to pay the IW heads that money as well. However skipping some details, switching to if IW wins, a lot of things will go wrong (for Activison that is). They loose full ownership of MW franchise, so the rightful owners of MW titles, will be IW. If MW3 is out by the time the hearing is over (and IW had won), those sales would/should all be going to IW/EA, but most likely (reminded of SM/JYJ lawsuit), they file a lawsuit to prevent them from selling it. Now EA could also file a lawsuit back at Activision for selling a title IW (who works with EA) fully and legally have rights on. More problems. So basically, this is it before I end it. Activision wins = 50% co-ownership with IW heads on MW franchise. Not sure about the unpaid wages, but they will most likely loose that. IW heads wins = 100% ownership of MW franchise, get paid for Black Ops, move their engine to EA, says "f--- you Treyarch". There are other details, smaller lawsuits within these two big lawsuits, etc. This is just what I think, and Activision are money hungry dogs. The course will take action and abide by the filed lawsuits. That's the law. Now what game comes out this year from EA/DICE. Battlefield 3. Black Ops released earlier, but Battlefield 3 is going to gain a HUGE amount of hype/excitement. Why do you think Treyarch are releasing MW3 regardless of this lawsuit. To TAKE OUT THEIR RIVALS EA. This is the storm before the storm. But yeah, that's just what I think, I'm not being disrespectful about your replies, I'm just explaining the full situation as best of my knowledge. Moving onto the other news, it's being activated on Tuesday? I gotta see if Wipeout HD was free before, but probably not since they're giving it for free now. My friend has it in his download history though, maybe I can ask for his password real quick and then try to snag it. Still waiting on Portal 2, whenever I have a game rented out (my second one, still have Sly Collection), the status goes to available. ![]() ------- |

Most of that I knew about. Didn't look into the specific dividing up of the franchise though, so it's interesting to see the way that would go depending on the court ruling. Of course everyone wants everyone to get paid, so it'll be an interesting outcome. I still think MW3 will be fine and not pulled or anything, though, but I guess like you said it's our opinions. I don't think the court ruling will effect MW3 for us, the consumer, and I guess that's my only point. As for the store, that's what Im hearing from these articles from sources. None of it is from Sony though, so we may not hear anything till tomorrow or today. I hear they're doing it Tuesday since that's the normal update day anyway. I'll wait till I hear Sony themselves say it, though. I don't like getting my hopes up with sony lately e.e; Portal 2 .. ahhh, that game looks so fun. Just real quick before my league game starts. Wipeout HD is free for PSN+ but can't be used after PSN+ ends. So for people like me whose PSN+ will last for a month, this way I can have Wipeout HD forever. Black Ops is not IW's, and they don't deserve s**t for it. At the time, Treyarch had every right to use the graphics engine. ![]() |

@Yuna - There isn't really an 'online mode' per se. You're just able to do missions that you already have unlocked, with a friend. Anyway, if you are ever up for it then just let me know. Hopefully we can get it working (I've never used Ad hoc party myself). Also, did you say you were starting a new file in WKC, or did you just say you were making a clear game? I've only just hit level 8, and I doubt I would be able to do any of the online quests alone. I went ahead and pre-ordered Duke Nukem: Forever and White Knight Chronicles 2 today. I'm getting Duke Nukem just so I can play through the single player. I'm hoping that it will be funny at the very least. Depending on how funny it is, I may decide to keep it or trade it in towards my Deluxe Catherine pre-order. As for White Knight Chronicles 2, I'm not sure what it is about that game but I'm really looking forward to it. I have barely even started the first game, but I want to get back to playing it very badly. I think it's because of the world, overall setting and stuff like the monsters you fight. I really really want to continue playing the first game, but I have to force myself not to. I need to get through Legend of Heroes, 3rd Birthday and at least start on Phantom Brave, since I bought those games 1 to 2 months ago and still have not beaten them. My backlog never gets any smaller. T_T @Everyone who plans to pick up Wipeout as their free PS3 game: We should all try to get together and have a race at some point. Probably wouldn't last that long in terms of a multiplayer game, but it might be good for some laughs. Not sure if anyone here plans on getting Little Big Planet instead. @Maiku - I haven't heard from Ray in a long time. What do you think we should do about our Lost Planet 2 session? My save data for that game was lost when my old PS3 died, so maybe we should try and get someone else together and run back through the campaign. We can still finish it with Ray whenever he gets back of course (again, I already technically finished the campaign myself). It's been ages since me and you played online. |

[@Shuy] lol yeah Sony is doing a horrible job communicating with the fans lately. But we do have to give them some props though, they got through what seems to be the gamer incident of the year. Not even XBOX who's been hacked numerous times has gone through this so they're trying their best, however it'll keep them in check from now on to protect their customers information and make them happy. Don't be all about the money. [@Maiku] I'll ignore your Black Ops comment to avoid another huge rant and discussion, since you support Black Ops. About Wipeout HD, what does that mean? It was free before for PSN+ users, but it won't be free for the PSN+ welcome back package as in they originally changed it like I thought? It'll only be yours forever if that's one of your two free games to keep forever. I'm pretty sure I had Wipeout HD before as it's in my game installs list (or trophies), so I'll ask my friend later on if I can snag it. If not, no big deal. [@Jon] Not sure if I told you on PSN or not, but my two game choices are SSHD and LBP. I've beaten inFamous and played Wipeout HD before, and I think Dead Nation I can easily rent through GF. So LBP it is!! Have you already traded in Portal 2? Btw, anyone else going to try out the new Gundam Musou? Hope there's a demo. Store's been down for like a year it seems.
