Left the Chat out since I'm not involved in the chat. Choosing nominees were harder than I thought because I tried to choose people who were active. I'll probably edit some of these since they seem under-nominee'd. But yeah my votes will be via PM, but yeah my head's a bit puzzled right now anyways.

@DA - Yeah, categories could still be added, there might be some that people really want in there. By the looks of it though this entire thing won't even leave the ground. I've only got a partial nomination list from 1 person so far. |

[@Jon] Yeah, Kira will get there soon, too. Rie's also pretty close, but Ki-run's active more often. JaydeL could easily make a return and start posting again. I sure miss him around in the forums, like the old days. Yeah when we first decided to call it the 10K club, it was pretty awesome. I was like, oh sweet do we really get a shirt, forget who told me about it, I think Kay? XD But yeah, let's do what we can first and worry about that stuff afterwards. I'll definitely be making stuff though. It depends really, it's hard to check. I know a lot of people donate and uL songs without ever posting. Shin I believe will definitely have the highest # of uLs. He has over 650 I believe and has gained nearly 60 levels from it. Every hundred would be nice, the major ones like for example, 10K for the posts, would be like the super mile-stone ones. Maybe 300 or something can be like one of the big ones, like 10K posts, cause uLs are harder to count and whatnot compared to forum posts. It's hard to decide, but you can just compare it to the 10K club or whatever, or the forum mile-stones (e.g. 1K [posts] = 10 uLs [songs]). About the categories again, more could be added, correct? And about the signature thing, I definitely will make a logo for you later on. You can always leave it in your signature like if you're a part of a club, and you can just update where ever the link goes, which would be here, and edit the info in the thread. But yeah, I could definitely make something in the later run for sure for you, if you want. :D

@Kira - Right now it will be open as long as it takes to get the categories filled. If a good number of people start nominating within the week then I'll put a more definite time limit on it. Also, thanks. Not sure if many people from the chat will be eager to get in to it though, even if the chat is part of the awards night. Thank Ray for me too, I need to get to sleep for the time being. I will have to edit my signature sometime tomorrow so that there's a graphic and a link to this page. I could have used the polldaddy website to set up a nomination method (there's an option to let people submit ideas for your polls in little text boxes), but it would take a while to set up. |

Well Kira and Jaydel are the closest at the moment. Jaydel is less than 1000 away, and Kira is only 1500 or so away (but Kira seems to be posting a lot more than Jaydel), and that's part of the reason I decided to go with this Honorary award thing. I think guys that achieve something like they will (at some point) should have something to commemorate it. I remember when I reached 10,000 not long after Kay, I edited a pic I was using as my avy to say "I reached 10,000 posts and all I got was this crummy T-Shirt.", that was pretty much it. I would consider X Number of Upload's/Contributions as just as much of a milestone as posting a lot. The only problem is trying to figure out what is a good number to hand out the award at. 100 Uploads? 200 Uploads? I'm not really up on what the higher numbers are. |

Yeah I always wanted Gendou to try to add more stuff like that. Like you can check the list of users by their post count and whatnot, that'd be friggin' awesome. It'd definitely be a lot easier to track down future members of the 10K. Yeah, but definitely give some time to know a lot of people would vote. Mini Gendou.com milestones for uLs and Contributions would be nice.

@DA- The honorary awards like the 10k Club and (if it works out okay) the Uploading over X Number awards will be given out during the Gendou Awards Night. Depending on how many people have achieved certain honorary awards, I may just give a quick list of the people rather than track down their avy's and display them properly. The voting will probably run for 1 week after opening. The nice thing about the polling site I'm using is that I can set an end date and it will close on it's own at that time. |

[@Jon] Haha, yeah when are you planning on ending the voting process after we set up nominations? And yeah definitely, it'll be a new thing to get used to, but yeah if I get it in time I'd be honored to do something if I can. The old awards aren't that bad. It's something at least. I'll definitely making something similar, add a few things, keep the style the same as yours. But I'll make them smaller a bit, but yeah we'll see I have no idea yet, lol. What do you want to do for the 10K club? Is that going to be a part of the Gendou.com Awards Night, too? And about the contributions or whatever, yeah you can easily view them on the members' profiles. About uLing music, I know that's another section on your profile as well.

@Kira - I didn't think of that. Contributions in terms of Uploads and Lyrics (That is kept track of isn't it?) wouldn't be too bad of an idea. |

what about contribution award or that sort? i know there are lots of people that contributed...but i've seen some which are a lot! like hundreds of contribution, even thousands...how's that? but of course if you don't think it's suitable we can never mind this. XD |

@DA - Well I'll be giving out the awards on the one night, but whenever you do get that suite set up, then it would be great if you could redo or touch up the awards. Honestly, the ones I put together suck hard. @Kira and everyone else - I put down on the first post that you don't have to fill in every category. If you can't think of any nominee's or just don't want to for certain categories then you can just skip them. Also, does anyone have any suggestions for honorary awards? I thought about it for a while and originally when I brought the topic up I had more ideas in mind than just the 10k Club. Any suggestions for achievements on Gendou.com that could be considered honorary awards material are more than welcome. Just try not to suggest ideas like 'Users that reach level 100', those kind of achievements just have too many users to hand out awards to. |

I personally like to stay private, and I think I PMed you my nominations last time, too. Hope nobody takes offense. And yeah, I guess we can nominate from 1-4 (4=max) nominees per category, as well as skip categories. And yeah, because of no internet, I didn't have a chance to check out the poll, but reading everyone's thoughts and comments about it, I think we're good. I'll send you a PM later and whatnot then, after a reply. Thanks. Oh, and about the 10K club thing, I thought about making one a while back. I ordered the Adobe Creative Suite thing yesterday, so I should have Photoshop again soon, but since I'm using it on my Macbook, I'll have to dL new fonts, brushes, textures, etc. and whatnot. But a bit later in the year, I'll make one so I'll keep it as a project. I already have my profile to work on, as well as other projects as well.

The polling looks alright, however I've discovered a problem with it. The created poll is automatically put up on the hosts search database, which means that people searching through the host sites poll database may stumble across it and vote on it. Honestly, it's unlikely to happen with the Gendou polls for a few reasons (People on polldaddy would have no idea who the members of Gendou.com are or what the poll is even asking), but there are people that vote on things just for the heck of it, regardless or whether or not it relates to them. In any case, I've sent an email to the sites support center to see if there's any way to block my polls from appearing in their search results, but I am assuming the answer will be 'No'. Regardless, I may still just stick to using that polling method since it seems to be the best suited. As I said, I don't expect anyone searching through polldaddy's database to have any idea what the Gendou.com Awards Night polls are even for. Anyway, I think I'll open nominations for the time being. I don't think the categories will be changed, and additions to the categories can be made at any time. |
