Well, they're used depending on the way you say the sentence. "ba" is used mostly in sentences that ask questions like... - Ano ba? (What?) - Hindi ba? (No?) - Siya ba ang kaibigan mo? (Is he your friend?) "nga" is used mostly in sentences that mean, "I said" in a slang way... - Bakit nga? (I said, why?) or simply,(why?) - Oo nga (Yes) - Siya nga yung kaibigan ko (She is my friend) "nga" can mean anything, you get used to it when you hear people talking filipino all the time tebayo~ "Eh" Is another slang that is like, "Dattebayo" it's either used in the beginning of the sentence or at the end. It can mean, "But" or "So" or "because" as well. - Kaibigan ko siya, eh (Because he's my friend) or (He's my friend) - Eh, di huwag! (So, don't!) - Eh, wala naman akong pera (But I don't have any money) "Eh" depends on what context your sentence is having tebayo~ |

they're actually called something. i remember my filipino teacher telling that to us, but i really can't remember. i think it adds emotion to what you say, like "bakit nga" sounds a bit like nangungulit, and "bakit ba" sounds a bit like an irritated tone. XD zell, why are you a cow? or an idiot? you're a nice dude. XD -michiyo-

Oh damn, ZPARTICUS. You're really hankering for this one, eh? All right then. Since I had such a crappy day, this'll be a good laugh for me. Presenting Lumayo Ka Man Sa Akin By: rodel naval (Literally, "Even if you Leave Me" Lumayo ka man sa akin ~Even if you leave me~ At ako'y iyong limutin ~And forget about me~ Masakit man sa damdamin ~Even if it hurts inside~ Pilit pa rin titiisin. ~I will bear it~ Lumayo (verb, past tense)to move away Ka (pronoun) you Akin (pronoun) in this song, this meant "me", but in the possessive voice, it means mine. It depends on the context in which it was used. Mga lumipas na ligaya ~Our bygone happiness~ Ang kahapong may pag-asa ~A yesterday full of hope~ Mga pangarap na walang hanggan ~Our eternal dreams~ Ay naglaho paglisan mo, mahal ko. ~Vanished when you left, my love~ Lumipas- in the song, this was used to mean "bygone". Ligaya- joy, happiness Kahapon- yesterday Pag-asa- hope Pangarap- dreams Walang hanggan- Never-ending; eternal Naglaho (verb, past tense) Vanished * pagkat saan ka man naroroon ~Because no matter where you may be~ Pintig ng puso ko'y para sa iyo ~My heart will always beat for you~ Naghihirap man ang aking damdamin ~No matter how my feelings suffer~ Nagmamahal pa rin sa iyo giliw ~I still love you~ Limutin man kita'y di ko magawa ~To forget you, I can't do~ Hindi pa rin ako nagbabago ~I won't change~ Ang pag-ibig ko sa iyo'y ~My love for you~ Lagi mong kasama. ~Will always be with you~ Pagkat (short for sapagkat) because. This is a poetic version of "dahil", which is more commonly used. Saan- where Pintig ng puso- heartbeat Naghihirap- suffering Damdamin- feelings Nagmamahal (verb, present tense) loving Limutin- to forget nagbabago- changing Pag-ibig- love Lagi- always Kasama- to accompany Mga sandaling ligaya ~Those brief moments of joy~ Kung ikaw ang siyang kasama ~When I am with you~ Sana ay di na natapos pa ~How I wish it never ended~ Wala ng nais pang iba. ~There is nothing more I could ever wish for~ Sa gabi'y naaalala ~At night I always remember~ Nalulumbay pagkat wala ka ~I feel so alone because you are not here~ Ang yakap mo'y aking inaasam ~Your embrace I always long for~ Sana'y maulit pang muli ~I hope to experience it again~ Mahal ko. ~My love~ Sandali- in the song, it was used to mean "brief moments" or "Moment". In the more common conversation, it could be used to command a person to wait. Like saying "Matte!" in Japanese. Natapos- ended Nais- wish Gabi- night Naaalala- remembering Nalulumbay- lonely Yakap- embrace (repeat *) Tuluyan man tayong di magkita ~Should we never meet again~ Umaasa pa rin ako sinta ~I will still keep on hoping~ Pagkat mahal kita manalig ka ~Because I love you, have faith in it~ Walang katulad mo sa buhay ko ~There's no one like you in my life~ Ikaw lamang ngayon, ~It'll only be you today~ Bukas, kaylan man ~Tomorrow, for eternity~ Naririto ako asahan mo ~I am here, you can count on it~ Ang pag-ibig ko sa iyo'y ~My love for you~ Lagi mong kasama. ~Will always be with you~ Ang pag-ibig ko sa iyo'y ~My love for you~ Lagi mong kasama. ~Will always be with you~ ~Okay. My head officially hurts. You deal with the rest :D |
