@Ray - We should really really try to finish Lost Planet 2 this Friday then. I'm almost done with Killzone 3's campaign mode. After that, I may give the multiplayer a try so that I can use that super voucher, but I will probably move on to Hyperdimension Neptunia. I'm still up for Killzone 3 online, but as always, I'm only in if it's against bots or if there is a squad chat option. I simply hate talking to random strangers online. |

You can't play against Bots with other players since you can't level up in Botmode. I just mute everyone who's a loser, but I prefer not muting people on my team usually since it's helpful. I only find people annoying if they're in a Clan together (or their own squad). People online are always gonna talk, that's just what multiplayer is. I just focus on the game and play. Usually those annoying people are on the other team, and if my team, we win cause there's teamwork involved which is needed in KZ. It doesn't seem they're going to add Squad Chat with was apparently in KZ2. Honestly I think I've won like one or two games in Warzone since playing online. I played online right away to not ruin the story and I wanted to see the double XP thing. I haven't played today yet, gonna play some right now, but yeah at first the double XP thing bothered me, but now it's whatever. Cause on opening day playing against people, they sucked. I tried to stick to Frozen Dam (beta map) to avoid the other maps but there's a voting system now so it can always change after two matches. The one map (in the demo) is really small, and the fog makes it hard to snipe or even see. It was quite annoying in Botmode. I also didn't like the one map because the two spawn points (us and enemy) were pretty much right next to each other. We were trapped. I'll tap into the Campaign later on, online is fun though, different, but still entertaining. Trying to get to my dominate ways in the beta but yeah I'd like to get into more squads again. My one friend is getting it and we might form a clan or something, we'll see. Thinking about trading in my mic for a refund and maybe buying the first 1.0 Sony mic. The 2.0 one is nice, but the mic level can only go to level 3 for some reason... My other friend has the 1.0 one and says it's better. Had trouble hearing me, although I speak low sometimes since I play at late when my parents are sleeping. P.S. There's already been 2 patches for KZ. Hopefully they can add better features for Squads. ------- |

I'm going to check on all of that stuff now in a minute. I'm saving my double XP code for the weekend when I can make the most use of it. Going to finish the campaign tonight and play a little bit of Hyperdimension Neptunia. I saw in the patch that they increased the spread and reduced the accuracy of the Helghast LMG, which sort of disappoints me since that was my go-to weapon. I haven't tried it though, so I don't know if it will make a difference in my play style with it. I always crouch fire it in short bursts anyway, so I assume that this is just to prevent people from spraying it. I may have to go with a different class though, we'll see. SOCOM 4 is sounding better and better as well. I just read a story that said you will basically be able to create custom co-op campaign by setting up missions with custom enemy density and objectives, and then you can link multiple missions together like a campaign. I think I may have to buy this guys, especially if any other Gamer Club members plan to get it. |

I beat campaign today, it was pretty okay, but what, is there going to be another? DLC? I won't spoil it for now. Do you know how the double XP works then? I don't hear a lot of people talking about it anymore, as if it ended. I got about 50% of the trophies without really trying, but some are gonna be hard. Beating the game on Elite is gonna be a b**** for sure... I kept dying even on Trooper I think. Some Bs though. I also got some trophies but for some reason it didn't show up. I can confirm you can't get trophies in Botmode. I've tried and would already have more if that was true. Can't seem to stay connected on PSN right now. They must be doing some maintenance or something. Hope they release a possible KZ3 avatar set or something. Already saw some PS rewards users testing it out, some of them looked cool. lol, btw there seems to be a LOT of avatars that look nice but never get officially released onto PSN. :( ------- |

I have to say that I am really not liking the online in Killzone 3 compared to Killzone 2. I'm not quite sure why, but I'm finding it more frustrating than fun (and I'm doing well with it in terms of statistics). The major nuisance I have with it so far is how many people play as Infiltrators. Everyone has to run around firing test shots at each other just to be sure that it isn't someone in disguise. Not to mention that they have an infinite sprint ability so that they can run around brutal killing everyone. There are also fewer maps to pick from, no 'create-a-match' options (as far as I could see) and no ability to set up unranked bot-matches with friends. Other than a few improvements, I would honestly call this a step back from Killzone 2's multiplayer. I'll probably use my Super Voucher next week during my break just to earn the double XP, and then I probably won't touch online again. I've spent quite a bit of time on Hyperdimension Neptunia lately. Trying to finish it up before Pokemon. I like it more than Atelier Rorona, although I don't like it's take on healing party members. I'm also disappointed by the lack of special attack effects. From what I have seen so far, special attacks only have 1 animation for each element type. I don't even bother using them anymore either, since they are quickly rendered worthless by other combo attacks which cost less AP to use. You also cannot sell unneeded items, so you just start building up a pile of junk eventually. |

[@Jon] Enemy Infiltrators won't have a green-team square site thing. It's hard sometimes if they're coming to get you (melee). That was annoying at first to but I sort of get used to it though I have my occasional rants about it like it displaying late... The unlimated sprint is like one of the most useful things in these types of games. Modern Warfare 2 you could equip it as a perk for anything which I liked starting out. It also helps when you run past corner claymores cause they can't explode fast enough to get you. There's more maps coming out (1 for Warzone and Team Deathmatch). Unranked bot matches would be lame since the AI's moves are too predictable. What they should have is online co-op but I get what you mean about a botmode with friends thing. But you can't earn points in botmode since you can easily play on the easiest level to whore up points so I think that's fair in that department. Here's my overview of Killzone 3: The campaign was whatever, sort of short and ends with a weird cliffhanger. Hopefully a DLC (free) expansion comes out. There already is more DLC coming out, so I expect more DLC in the future. Maps: There are a few more maps in Warzone than in Team Deathmatch (which is weird), but makes sense since the maps can be insanely large. Weapons: The weapons seem balanced, but my biggest rant is about shotgun whores and people who use LMGs just to spray the crap out of you without any real skill. The Engineer has two LMGs and one SMG. Worst weapon class out of the classes in my opinion. Setting up turrets is nice and hacking enemy turrets is also pretty neat. But the LMGs are just stupid. Just walk in front of someone and spray the crap out of them (especially the second one you unlock). So many people do that, cause they have no real skill in anything... Same with shotguns. The Sniper is a pretty balanced class. You can have the semi-score rifle or the real sniper rifle which I occasionally use more often. I HATE environmental blockage in this game, it's stupid. Cloaking is really useful and neat, and the secondaries are probably the most balanced and handy. The silenced machine pistol keeps your cloak after killing people passing by and it's fairly accurate. Also no scoping at point blank range since you have a weak secondary should be improved a bit. Whenever I do it, the crosshairs would be dead center on my enemy, yet it totally misses... -__-" The Tactician is your usual assault rifle class, brother of the Infiltrator I call it. I've started using it a bit more lately since I get into a game where the other team has all the other spawn points, and nobody wants to think and use their brain and capturing the closest ones to get a better advantage again. The droids could move around a bit more. On the larger maps they actually circle buildings, the entire map basically, but on maps like Frozen Dam and the smaller map similar to Frozen Dam it just stays in one general area. What I really don't understand is how they can shoot me and find me when I'm a sniper fully cloaked. Really?? Waiting to unlock the Bazooka so I can own campers in tight corners.... The Infiltrator is a pretty strong class to use. The name thing gets annoying sometimes yeah, but it's fair to use... What I hate is when they also use shotguns and just run around randomly firing and hitting you from a questionable range. Now whenever I use the shotgun my accuracy sucks, even hitting them in the face or body. When you get hit by a shotgun point blank, no matter what area of the body you hit, you should be dead. But not the case. The secondaries are decent for it, I just use the bazooka though it only has one shot. The unlimated sprint can be okay but yeah people whore it out to just brutal melee you. But there is a way to counter brutal melee. I don't know exactly, but I basically just melee back and sometimes I counter it. It's weird. I don't think you kill them but you stun them for a bit and it gets confusing, so just follow up. The assault rifle is okay, burst mode is okay but I'd prefer the brother's (Tactician) weapon over it, except the silencer. In close range if you tap it and kill someone they should go down. It has good accuracy, overall a good balanced weapon. The medic was what I used in the beta until I used the sniper more often. The medic and engineer always have the worst weapons in war games in my opinion. No way a damn medic uses an LMG, a heavier gun yeah, but not as heavy as a LMG. LMGs from medics in Battlefield: BC2 were good because the iron sites were better (plus you could equip red dots). Healing is always good though sometimes I wish the restart time could be shorter. In Battlefield: BC2 you could heal someone over and over again, in KZ3 you can't. I guess to avoid getting easy points they did that, but sometime it hurts you if you're trying to flank someone and there's only one or two medics around. A drone following you is okay, but if you're trying to hide it sucks. You should be able to withdraw it possibly (and take up a square) but yeah they get annoying sometimes as well. As well as standing up after you unlock that perk the medic class is so-so for me. Online play (multiplayer): I think it's okay, I mean your usual campers and spawn campers are what I find the biggest complaint in this game. The maps on Warzone are basically built for the other team to do it, it's really stupid. Environmental blockage is annoying as well, and what the heck is up with this Claymore bug? You lay a claymore down, and a bit later, it just randomly disappears without anyone getting near it or any explosions nearby? I think it's a bug, I'll search online to see if other people have this issue as well. Hurts when you're a sniper and there's no ammo crates around and your only protection nearby just "disappears". There's three modes which give depth, but I mostly play Warzone (on Frozen Dam) most of the time. Operations is harder cause, again, campers.... It's hard to argue since one team is going to a point you know. And it's worst in Operations than Warzone because they can't flank you from the other side, since it's momentarily blocked off. The exoskeletons and jetpacks are fun. It's kinda dumb how enemies can easily sometimes shoot it down (exoskeletons). And sometimes you can't jump over certain walls which you should be able to do. Better news I hope an official release date for The Team Ico bundle comes out. Cause I'd wanna pre-order it and see what promotions Amazon would offer. Waiting for them to confirm my credit for the games I traded in and the additional 20$ from pre-ordering KZ3. ------- |

I got my PS3 mic up, as well as LBP2. As soon as Ray settles in, I'm LP2 ready. The sooner we finish it, the sooner I can send it down to my brother. Picking up Pokemon Black in a matter of 30 or so hours! |

Are you getting Killzone 3 Maiku? It's good you have your mic back. Checked amazon a few days ago, they deposited all the credit to my online gift card. I'm doing pretty well stats wise on Killzone 3, I gotta check the rest of the hidden trophies to see what they are first of all. Started befriending some KZ3 players though it still is boring playing usually without friends I actually know and/or use mics. I could probably reach Top 100 Global eventually. This one guy who I befriended is 51 Global and played twice as much as me, but I'm sure my stats can be way better and they are. ------- |

Hmm, interested in playing KZ3? A few people here have it and I think Ray said he was getting it (or if he had it already cause of the SOCOM beta). Though only a few people like me play online. Izumo does, but doesn't have a mic. I do though. ...I miss hearing your voice radiate through my ears when we kill people... XD j/k~~ And yeah, honestly I don't know why people both play Black Ops AND KZ3. You should try to ask your bro for it, if he's stuck playing Black Ops which I see often, he might send it up. It takes a few points to unlock things for classes but online is pretty fun (though I tend to play one mode, one map). ------- |

He only plays Black Ops with friends. Says he prefers KZ3 when alone, and I don't blame him. He has a kdr worth caring about on Black Ops, so he only plays it with a friend of his. Can't blame him. I asked him about sending up KZ3, but no luck. I might be able to pick it up late march during spring break, so if you guys are still playing then that'd be great. I heard the Crysis 2 demo is coming out soon though, so maybe we'll be able to shoot up fools with mics when that comes out on PSN. I'm really bored right now, so if anyone wants to play LBP2 let me know. |

lol, I can understand that. I care about my KDR in KZ3 too but not to much now. You have to pick it up and play with me bro - only thing I usually play on a similar map, because there's a ridiculous amount of "BS" with KZ3 online... If we can play any demos on PSN, sure just hit me up. The only games I have currently are UFC2010 and KZ3 since I traded everything else, and once I find a definite confirmation of the team ico bundle releasing next month, I'm definitely getting that. BTW, anyone see the teaser trailer for Battlefield 3? Zomg sick! ------- |

@Ray - Alright, me and Maiku will be standing by then. Hope to see you again soon. Man, been a while since a post was made here. I have pretty much finished Pokemon Black. The main story is done, and I'm just going around to the final cities and will be trying to find the sages. I may not get very far with it though, since the trainers after the Elite Four have jumped up about 15 to 10 levels above me and I'm barely getting any experience. I may just trade over my entire team from Platinum, which are already in the level 65 range, and finish the rest with them. I am hoping to return to Hyperdimension Neptunia on the weekend. I need to get that finished before Dissidia Duodecim and The 3rd Birthday hit. Which brings me to Dissidia Duodecim: Prologus. I downloaded today since it went up last night. There isn't really a difference between the first game and the second, except for different environments and music (I think anyway). Prologus can barely be considered a Prologue as far as I'm concerned though. The 'story' was basically just 4 battles in a row with no explanation as to what is going on. Kain Highwind and Jecht show up, but have pretty much no screen time and no reason for being present. Prologus seemed to focus solely on Lightning (which makes me uneasy about the actual game). I really dislike Lightning as a character, and even more so in battle. For me, personally, she was utterly useless compared to the other characters in Prologus. I hope to god that I won't be forced to use her at all (or at least not much) in the main game. I really don't want Duodecim to end up being a vehicle for promoting the impending FFXIII-2. She was the only new character, aside from Kain (who is only playable in Arcade mode), available to pick. Yuna, Tifa and Laguna were completely absent. The other thing that bugged me is that characters like Cloud, Bartz and Squall appear as enemies in the Arcade mode, but you can't use them either. I'm also still not sure about the story, where some of the good characters from the last game appear to be on Chaos's side. I guess they needed to balance the sides, but that just raises the question "Why didn't they get more villain characters?". Seymour was passed over again (not that I think he's that great to begin with, but he WAS a primary antagonist in FFX). I'm sure they could have added in a few more actual villains. In the end it was worth it for $2.99. You do get Aerith as an Assist Character, and there are a bunch of Accomplishments in Arcade mode which offer Chocobo Cologne as prizes (that can be transferred to the full game). Regardless, as long as I can play as Tifa, I'll be happy. |
