@Toyumi - Understandable. I was a little unsure of joining it as well for almost the same reason. A lot of my characters didn't seem like they would fit into the kind of setting that Ugo was making. And that's no big deal. There's nothing I had planned on FoN anyway. I'm mostly just following along with whatever you, Fenris and Roxas do at the moment. I just made a small post to have something done. As for being away for a few days next week, there's no need to worry about Pokemon. I might make a post tonight to set up some of the Team Vanguard stuff in advance and then wait and see if Fenris and Haseo do anything. If nothing happens by next week then I may just skip ahead a bit and gloss over Fenris' gym battle and move on. I also need to do up a badge image for Snowdrop Town.    |

@K.M. - I'm not sure what Ugo is doing with the cast. I think the initial plan was to keep it as small as possible, but it has kind of grown quite a bit at this point. I would assume that Ugo has closed the casting at this point, because the RP is up to 6 people now when I think Ugo intended for it to be under 5. As for UtPBS2, I'm not sure. Everyone seems to have come out of the woodwork recently to post in there, so things are moving again. It's difficult to tell with this RP. Like I said, it has had slumps equal to or worse than this before. Part of me thinks I should probably bring it to a close soon. Truth be told, I don't really have a whole lot left in terms of story. The only real unanswered questions at this point are: -The creature that appeared in Hala. -Excellen's background. -Eric's motivations (which is the current track we are on). -The Children's goal/plan. It's not as thought I want to rush to an ending because I have something big in mind that I really want to see wrapped up (in comparison to Pokemon, which I do want to do an ending for), it's more about the fact that the RP regularly slumps and runs into interest-halting events (like the recent mountain base deal). Besides that, it has had a good run. It's 2 years old now and seems to me like it might be distracting some people from other RP's a bit. Anyway, I'm not sure what my plans are for that. For the time being, I'll be keeping it going until it dies or the above points I listed are covered. At the very least, I was incredibly pleased with how Part 1 went and I'm glad to see that the work I put into the world and such didn't get wasted by having it die out in a few weeks. |

@Jon: Just so you know, I'm going to be posting in the Pokemon RP either today or tomorrow, so don't feel pressured to post again. I planned to post sooner, but I've been unexpectedly busy these past few days. I had a doctor's appointment on Wednesday witha follow-up yesterday. And today, I had to get a bunch of labwork done and give a bit of blood. Since I'm already pretty underweight substantially, the blood-loss has left me a bit on the weak side, both physically and mentally, so I'm not exactly in top shape to post at this moment.

@ Karuzo: Oh no! I'm sorry KM! I thought I had responded to your PM already. Anyway, unfortunately yes. Like jon said, I've already exceeded the amount of characters I want in the RP. So until it slows down and people stop posting, I can't really add anymore people without risking throwing the story off balance. I'll give you a heads up if we need more people. @ Jon: I don't think of UTBPS as a distraction. Kind of just flowing with the others at the moment. @ Toyumi: Kind of surprised you'd think it has a sci-fi feel. Though the cast of characters that ended up being in it ended up making it like that. I originally imagined it would come off more as a fantasy adventure RP. Anyway, End of the World is running alright on pure willpower. If I really wanted to I could just do a huge info dump that fully explains the background that's been hinted in the flashbacks. Though I am trying to get some time for at least each character to have at least some amounts of focus - which in-turns leads to themselves triggering a flashback scene. It's nice that it's doing well. It seemed like the going post crazy in the beginning, as well as forcing it forward has done it well. I also took some liberties with time and scene control to keep the story rolling. The big task for me controlling it is finding the balance between plot reveals (there's a detail for each character so there's a lot of it) - as well as keeping it from being boring as well as trying to build the relationships with the characters. Yup, lots of 'forcing'. But so far everyone's been a good sport about playing along with it all. like on of the previous posters said, one of the big attracts in a new rp is your character meeting a new character. One of my aims was the hope that I could skip over the introductions and make it so that everyone's characters can start to develop some emotional investment in one another. (Jon and Fenris joining has kind of complicated it, but there is a way). I can be satisfied with this RP if it manages to make it to the completion of the Prologue arc that it's still in.   |

@Jon - About UtPBS S2, I think I have an idea why it actually slowed down, but I'm not sure that this actually caused it. To me, EotW has a lot of mystery things ongoing which quite intrigues me (just like Kyoshiro's Phantasmargoria, antagonist's planning and stuff) and maybe perhaps the smaller cast actually promotes better relationship. As UtPBS S2, it feels like intermission -> fight -> intermission -> complete objective -> next stuff, though now it's quite obvious than the previous UtPBS. Then again, I hardly lack of those creative juices on my head to create good plots @_@ as RPers themselves play a big role to keep things running and interesting... Or is it missing some humors? XD Just of my personal opinions when I read some of the previous posts here. @Ugo - Forced scenes eh? The only thing that I felt like it is forced is the train station. But then, it wasn't that bad. Managed to turn it something else? XD Actually, I already drafted a second Summoner, and may be used depending on the plot, and he might be running a totally different plot than Ionia. Then again, it is all depends on the development of the ongoing plot. So yes, so far so good, and I hope I can complete the RP ~_~   |

@ugo~ understood, but can you critic it so that i the.possiblet changes can be made earlier as a possible potential character @jon~ well in my part, i am waiting for other members of utpbs to post so that i can squeeze in, so that we can move a long 2yrs? thats quiet an achievement really --> |

I haven't roleplay for a long while... been too long. I am hardly on here much either. Though it is good to see that some of you are still into roleplay. I have looked through both roleplay, though I am not interested sadly. Though I will get back into roleplay soon enough. Still thinking through my current roleplay idea about the book part. But possibly that is not a good idea. Though another idea came to me. Basically it is center around Mu, the lost continent. Mu is still prospering remaining hidden above clouds in the sky. The people, the technology became more advance in ways yet stick to the old. They consider themselves sky people. Like the world below, the continents are separated into several areas much like the countries. Like all countries or continents, they are ruled by a certain individual. The king of Mu, however he is a tyrant ruler; a dictator. No one dare oppose him due to his powers and authority along with his status. Aside from the lost continent, within the lower world. Archaeologist explore about the Maya ruins and other places that might lead them to the existence of the continent of Mu. Sadly a group of Archaeologist stumble upon a transportation device that was created long ago by the Mayan tribes and Mu. They accidentally activated it and found themselves transported to Mu to an area that is considered ruins; with no way to return home to the lower world. Basically, the rp is to fight, survive and try to find a way to return to the lower world while facing against the tyrant king. This is simply a brief summary of my idea. You can roleplay as citizens of Mu or as one of the Archaeologists if you want. So what do you guys think?  |

@Emiya - Well a smaller cast definitely makes for better character relationships, which is a problem for UtPBS2 due to there being a ton of characters. As for the chain of events, yes, it does tend to loop a bit. That's the problem I see with large casts though. You need to have action scenes every so often because some people get bored with conversations and want action stuff to do. @Ugo - For the moment I'm completely satisfied with just the character mingling in TEoTW. I like seeing the characters interact with each other, so I haven't really felt bored by the fact that there hasn't been any action. To tell the truth, at one point I did completely forget about the fact that there are going to be other worlds in the RP, like Hala from UtPBS. As for what is going on in the RP recently, I don't really have any questions or anything to PM you about at the moment since I'm still not sure where you are going to take things (namely the Epiphanies). I'll save any questions about what you want me to do in those scenes for when (or if) you bring them up. Edit: I made a small post for Forces of Nature. I'll have to get to Pokemon tomorrow since that one is likely going to be a big one and it's kind of late here right now (plus I have work tomorrow around 12, so I'll need to get up a little bit early to do the Pokemon post). |

Well I'm back from going away and from my busy schedule that popped up immediately afterwards. I'll try to post in FoN today. @ Ugo- Post-apocalyptic worlds always give me a feel that they're sci-fi unless otherwise very blatantly stated. I can understand how the whole universe is meant to be fantasy, but a lot of elements from the universe seem sci-fi to me (Like the description of Earth, and a few other things that I noticed while reading through the first post). @ Jon- I'll wait on you to post in the Pokemon RP before I post there, since all I want to do is have a battle there with Fenris (Which I can easily do in one post once I talk to him about it). Feel free to just go on with your plans regardless of the battle since like I said that should be started and wrapped up in my next post there. @ Zero- I don't think I'd be interested in the RP. I have to limit my involvement in RP's anyway due to college and such coming up so I think that FoN and the Pokemon RP will stay my only 2 RP's for awhile unless a new RP idea really interests me (And your idea doesn't really interest me to the point that I'd have to join it, sorry). [Edit] Whoops, did I say I would post in FoN? Silly me I must have meant 5 days later obviously. Sorry for not getting around to posting until now for FoN, and I'll see if I can talk to Fenris tomorrow and work out a post for Pokemon.  |

Hey All. I do certainly realize I'm holding up End of the World at The Moment. There is a reason for that though. Right now I would say the prologue is about at the half way point. Much to my horror I realized that there's such an amount of material that I'm a little worried as how to present it all without things getting broken (though admittedly, it's pretty broken as it is). I've been trying to think of workarounds without having to Throw spoilers out to via PMs, but it's looking like I will have to. I may be PMing other members about particularities as the week goes on. I'm working to get things sorted as soon as possible. So no worries, I haven't abandoned the RP, I'm just trying to figure out the cleanest way to wrap things up from here. @ Emiya: Sorry for not okaying that PM. That reason is because I am pretty sure I'll end up info dumping epiphanies into it ^^'. I'll PM you back as soon as I can. |

@Emiya - If you have any plans then feel free to try. So far the only person I've seen who has brought up UtPBS2 recently besides yourself is K.M. @Ugo - You're only halfway through the prologue? I can't imagine what you have planned once this is all done. Anyway, RP Update for me. ------------------Updates------------------ Under the Pale Blue Sky 2: Winds of Change - Nothing much to say here. Most of the people involved in the RP seem to have dropped out of it. I'm not sure if it's because it is summer or if people just completely lost interest in it suddenly. We'll have to wait and see when September rolls around. Pokemon: To Live and Learn - I just made a major post, so it's up to everyone else to decide how things are going to play out. I also pointed out that I'll be toning down the focus on Adele from this point on. I've been meaning to do this for a while since I kind of put a lot of plot importance on her at the expense of Victor, Fenris, Parker and Shinji. Like I said in my post, the intention was for Adele to be involved with Vurtia while the guys dealt with Team Vanguard, but it didn't really turn out that way since Team Vanguard didn't get much attention from Mt. Verain up until the Snowdrop Mountains (except for that brief scuffle with Celine and Drake in Zephyranth City). The End of the World and After - At this point my character is basically just parked until the battle is finished. I don't have any intention of getting involved with the battle (unless I'm supposed to) and I've already gone through whatever dialog I had. If Sven is one of the people Ugo has in mind for an epiphany info-dump then I'll probably have more to work with, but until then I'll just be waiting for the battle to wrap up. Forces of Nature - It appears as though myself, Fenris and Toyumi are the only ones left in this RP (Roxas is likely busy with stuff again, since he tends to disappear when his schedule is full). I don't have any intention of leaving the RP though as long as Toyumi decides to keep it running. |

@ Jon- UtPBS2 is dead? Wow I didn't realize that it hasn't been active lately (Probably because the RP always seems to bounce back somehow). And yeah, I'm assuming that it's just you, me, and Fenris left for Forces of Nature. Roxas actually PMed me lately so he's been around, but I forgot to ask him about the RP. Whether he's still in or not doesn't really matter, we can keep on going regardless. As for the Pokemon RP, I've felt as though everyone gets enough attention. I mean, I know Adele's kind of an attention hog when it comes to Vurtia and a lot of things so I'm probably not one to talk, but I feel like everyone gets their chance to shine with Team Vanguard and with characterization, among other things. I felt as though the battle with Drake and Celine was enough to keep the RP going forward in the Team Vanguard aspect from Mt. Verain up until now from what I remember (Especially since the RP kind of picked up the pace in a major sense after Mt. Verain in regards to traveling from location to location and things to do, etc.). Anyway, I'll post in FoN and Pokemon soon. FoN might have a short timeskip coming up, or not, I still have to decide on that so we'll see. Although I'm not splitting the RP into chapters, what would be considered the "prologue" for the RP will be wrapping up soon actually, and then we can get into the actually plot of the RP (Which you'll definitely find out by the end of the prologue, it'll be fairly easy to see the direction that the RP will take when the time comes). The plot isn't much of a problem since I know for the most part how it's going to work out, it's just getting there that I have to think about a bit before I go forward with it. @ KM Revolution- If you're planning to join FoN then please PM me so I can catch you up on what's going on and send me your character sheet too when you're done with it so I can check it over before you join. |

@Jon: Don't worry about the whole attention thing in the Pokemon RP, Parker's had his fair share of time in the limelight lately, from his drama to taking care of his mom, so there really is a good balance in attention's sense. I'll be posting in these next couple days as well.

@Jonathon: Yeah, I know... Just to say, I think I want to try add something that TEW has right now: interaction and expanding some sinister mysteries during the times while Avira is ruling Imelda. There will be some tidbits that can be related to Ezio's Copycat skills? I can give more details should we meet again on Chat or through PM (just to prevent spoiler lols, but eh I will just post my plans here if you guys want it) But yeah, at this stage, I don't even know that it will keep people posting (even myself? lol). @KM: Lol, actually TBH I don't think I'll going with your action scene right now xD If you have been following UtPBS S2, then you'll notice the battle at the Northern Mountains actually... petered out (yes I'm using your terms Jonathon, sorry XD) If Destiny posted at that moment however... So yeah, I'm trying to use/make up something that has happened to the citizens of Imelda who is now under the 'leadership' of the Avira, especially those who rebelled... You know, a replica of Excellen? And what about those... soldiers that acted... weird? |

It might be better to PM them though I think, I'm only in chat when the mood strikes me so I don't know when the next time I'll be there when you are is. @Haseo - Yeah, but you guys had to make those plot events for yourselves. @Toyumi - Well the main thing with post-Verain was that I didn't want to overuse Team Vanguard to the point where they were perceived as little of a threat. Plus, like you said, the RP increased in pace after Verain in order to keep things from getting boring. The RP slowed down to a crawl, so I needed to pick up the pacing in order for it to still make progress. If I hadn't done that and instead had a bunch of events in a single town, well, we'd likely still be in Syringa at this point. The RP has been up for like 2 years and we only just had the characters get their 5th badge. |

@ Jon- Yeah, that's true. Also sorry for really delaying my post in Pokemon (For reasons I've explained below), after this post I'm going to start working on it (Although I don't think I'll have to involve Adele in the battle just yet since she a bit 'distracted' from what's going on with the rest of the group). @ KM Revolution- You didn't violate a rule yet with the idea in your PM. Actually, like I said in the PM another person who joined the RP did something along the same lines as your idea. But like I said before whenever you're done with your character sheet PM it to me and I'll go over it to make sure it's okay. And so so so sorry about not posting in the RP's I said I would. Shortly after I posted here I joined another forum and got caught up with the stuff going on there. I'm going to focus on making a post in Pokemon first, but after that I'll definitely make a post in FoN as soon as possible. I've also decided that there will be a time skip there in my next post (It's a short one though, only a couple of days), so it might take a day or two for me to come up with it. |
