@Izumo For opur information, I just read it somewhere. I'm sorry if there is some spoiler in my recent entry. For my next entries, I will be more focussing on the comments on the episodes. Now, for this entry, I want to express some comments on the episode where the gang plays baseball in a competition against the people from another town if I'm not mistaken. In that episode, there are a lot of comedy. For example between Akio and Sunoe's dorm "mom" (I don't remember her name though), Sunoe and Kyo and so on. What is more interesting is my favourite character's action, Tomoyo. She is sooo althetic. PS: Thanks for supporting me guys.    |

Yay! More people! Welcome to the thread~ @es Tomoyo is my favourite character as well! Sad to say that someone else claimed it before both of us D: @Zack Yes I am one of those people who dident complete the game since the 2nd season is coming up. Next time you could use the spoiler functions to mask those parts for the sake of people like me ^^;  |

@ sice1234-san Nice AMV but i think you posted it in the wrong thread. There are alot of Bleach threads on the site so it would be appropriate there...not here. @ ES-san No worries, your post was fine, i was talking to Zack-san about it. Yeah the baseball episode was a nice kick-off to the new season...for the most part it happened exactly like the game. That is one thing that i love about the anime series cause it is so faithful to the original story...when they do add changes it is either not noticeable or in the case of Yukine & Misae an improvement. *********************** Episode 14 hi-lites Just finished watching the RAW version of the episode & in the process of downloading the Sprocket subs (man they are fast!!). I have to watch the subs to make sure what i was seeing is the same as i thought cause my japanese is average at best. So these points may be a bit off.  First things first the more i see Tomoya & Nagisa together the more i think how perfect they are with one another. No offence to the fans of Kyou or Tomoyo but Nagisa is best suited for Tomoya in my opinion. Love her new mature looking hair-do :D Akio acting like Akio...*check*! Yo Yo Yo! hahahahaha!!!! As time goes on things change (reminds me of the reminicing DAngel-san, Jon-san, & i did in the 'Congrats 100/1000th post thread)....anyways Tomoya does the same reminicing. All i can say about the following scenes witouth spoiling it: cafe, maid outfit, YOWZA!!! You'll see what i mean :L The last scenes with the Furukawa family i had a difficult time understanding...from what i get with the expressions i think it is about 'THAT'...though it is a bit sudden. Was all 'THAT' done in that one night? I guess so....Tomoya must be very...ummm...healthy...if you know what i mean 8D. I have to watch the subs to be sure it is what i think it is about. We officially passed the halfway mark of the series....get ready for the goods!! *Note* Since the thread is nearing the 1000 post limit, anyone have ideas about the next thread that they would like to see. I have some ideas i would like to add to the 2nd thread, however i suck at CSS so it may not be what i wanted. Also if ones would like to have some sort of 'club badge' that is also a possibility. Feel free to make any suggestions. Hope to hear some input from you guys/gals. Thanks!  |

@izumo Maa... sore wa tashikani... For Yukine's and Misae's arc there are addition in their arc... and I think it is reasonable... because in Yukine's arc (in game) it can be said that Tomoya is really look like Yukine's brother... (because Tomoya always let Yukine sleep in his lap)... And in this after story... Tomoya has already going out with Nagisa... therefore there was little change in Yukine's arc... And for the coninuance of after story... I hope that this anime no changes... I just want to be compared more to the game's story... @xiao It's very pity that you not completed the game... You are really like my brother... The beginning he has the game... but only because the anime has already released... he does not play it so... A... sokka... And wow, thanks for the news, even though japan is so far away. xD @Izumo: A general synopsis will be dandy, as well as a list of clannad stuff (anime, movie, VNs, maybe you might wanna add merchandise). Saw the sub version & just as i thought the last scene was about 'THAT'....hahahah...congratulations indeed! @ Xiao-san I'm jotting some ideas i have in mind for the continuation thread, i don't want to make it too big & take up alot of space. I'm trying to come up with a nice CSS to add some kind of feel to the thread. Hopefully it'll work out. @ Zack-san My goodness how time flies...it has already been 10 years of Key Visual Arts eh? It feels like only yesterday that they released their first title KANON.....ah nostalgia. Unfortunately i don't live in Japan so i won't be able to attend the festivities....i'll definitely listen to the radio shows that air prior to the event. I listen to the CLANNAD Hyper Rainbow radio show every week. |

Saw episode 14, wow, I have to say the star player in this episode was... AKIO-SAN!! *confetti everywhere* So many funny moments and close family points that took place in this episode, as well as Nagisa's ultimate weapon... her cuteness.    Can't think of a better way to start Clannad then with this family moment scene. Akio-san made some funny faces in this entire episode that made me chuckle. It's cute to see that Nagisa's the one that makes the "moves" in the relationship, or from what I've seen in this episode. Although I can say it's truly driven by love and passion for Tomoya, they're relationship is so perfect in its own right. Speaking of Nagisa's 'new' hairstyle, we only see it once until after the OP credits, she goes back to her regular hair (I think). She had that hair piece she uses a lot for the back of her hair, though I thought it was different, but cute how she put it for the one side of her bangs. A special moment was when Nagisa and Tomoya were alone in the dark with the moon light shining on their backs, they were talking about a Folk Tale that Tomoya brought up from Miyazawa. Nagisa's "wish", was pretty dramatic, at least for Tomoya! She was so embarrassed after saying it two, and even when she wanted to hold hands with Tomoya in their own separate futons, they was shy. AKIO THE MC... although I didn't physically laugh out loud during this scene, I have to think it's one of the most hilarious things I've ever seen in anime. You don't have to laugh physically for something to be funny to you, if you saw my mind, I think it was getting a heart attack (which makes no sense, but SEE!?!?). XD! They next visit Nagisa at work... which is packed with a bunch of events that happened! Tomoya remembers the path with students walking to school. At first I thought it was because of Tomoyo's goal to save the blossom trees or something since there was a new restaurant there. Seeing Nagisa in a waitress uniform gives her the edge! 120 points!! O.O` Even Akio-san, or Tomoya's "friend", was shocked. "Like Father, like Daughter", I thought that little detailed/scene was a moment. I'm not really the biggest dessert guy, but I really wanted to try that HUMONGOUS PARFAIT!!  Speaking of which, that guy's hand is friggin' ginormous, wtf!!?!?!? lol, those glasses on Akio-san are really funny, I mean just look at his facial expression there, he doesn't even notice what's in front of him. The fight scene was something else, too, talk about fearsome! Akio-san, another 15 points! Last thing I want to mention was the final scene when they returned back to the Furukawa's place. Did you see all those pictures Akio-san took? lol, talk about obsessive... and a bit creepy.   The ending did surprise me a little... Who knew Nagisa got her "wish" already, how did this happen already?  More Nagisa cuteness!! =>_<= Either way, the episode was surely something to remember, though knowing now that Nagisa's pregnant... may seem like a good thing, logically yeah, everyone would be happy in this situation, but as we all know (for most of us anyways), it's going to take a turn for the worst, so it's kind of like a good sign with an outter in inner meaning (which is bad).

The time has come for probably the most intense, emotional, heart-wrenching, saddest moments in anime (since in my opinion AIR)....judging from episode 15 & the preview for episode 16 this will be the toughest time i will have watching anime. Like i said many times i've been anticipating this moment ever since the announcement that CLANNAD was gonna have an anime series, yet a part of me doesn't want to bare seeing it again. Watching it happen once in the game was difficult enough...now i have to see it in motion.....*sniff sob sniff* I don't want to spoil anything cause i just want to let you guys experience it for yourself & i mean EXPERIENCE cause it really is. This may sound abit cruel but this again is just my opinion, whoever doesn't feel anything during these next few episodes there is really something wrong with you. This is cruelty & basically 'life' in general....the world can be harsh like everyone already knows. One day these events that is seen in CLANNAD may & can happen to anyone which is why this is such a powerful anime series. The images i posted are just a few i picked out of this stunning episode that i think says it all...the love between Tomoya & Nagisa, the name of  .Tomoya's face says it all on what is the inevitable.....the preview pic, well i don't have to say much do i.Episode 15...the time has come T__T!    < ---  |

Hello again everyone... I hope I'm not too late bacause I just watch EP 14 recently due to Internet problems. So, my post is just about EP 14. And now...EP 15 in the post!!! Anyway, I believe that all of us think that EP 14 is the most exciting and happiest moment in this anime. Just as you all said, Akio-san is the main comedy here but I'm very suprised to see the reaction of Tomoya. Usually, when Akio-san do something crazy, he just ignore it and mumbling to himself (speak in his heart). But now he just "joined" with Akio-san. Maybe it is true that what Akio-san said about Tomoya that is he is similar to him. 80%...80% of the time I always laughing. Too much comedy and Nagisa's actions. I'm not expecting this. Indeed she may be a "rare animal" in the Earth. Just like you guys said, we better prepare for the worst. I haven't watch EP 15 but I always follow the forum. What can I say is that...I don't know what to say...Kanon is almost similar to Clannad but it has happy ending. I just hope that there will be happy moment in the end. PS: I have questions to you guys especially at Izumo-san. 1) Why is it Nagisa wants baby very much at the beginning of their marriage? I mean couples usually want babies maybe after several yar in their marriage. 2) In this EP, Akio-san wants to hit Tomoya when Nagisa...(You know). What is actually his feeling? Happy? Sad? Jealous? In my post I hope you guys can prepare to answer my question because I like to analyze and reasoning. Oh ya, another one is do you guys have any harem anime recomendation to me? |

@ Es-san Yeah the next few episodes or so will be really something that's for sure. Those who have played the game already know what is fast approaching, not to spoil anything but just expect the worst. However there is always 'light' at the end of the tunnel so after these events stick with the series & you'll have a nice feeling inside of you when all is said & done. It is this fact that i believe wholeheartedly that CLANNAD is a series to be remembered for the rest of your life. Yes i know this is a little over-exaggerated but i truly believe that....i hope many will share the same idea. As for your questions. As some know in anime the 'dream' of most girls is to be married & have kids of their own. So Nagisa is no exception to that rule. In real life it is a little more complicated, ask your parents & you'll understand :P Akio's reaction is of dis-belief, mainly cause he now knows that his little girl is all grown-up. He is really happy for the both Nagisa & Tomoya...but as a guy we usually give the lucky guy a hard time about it. |

I just watch EP 15 2 days ago. Thank you Izumo-san and Xio-san for answering my question. I still need to learn much more about life. @Izumo-san I agreed with you. Clannad should be remembered. I think Clannad has change me quite a bit especially on kindness and perception towards people. There is a proverb, "every dark cloud has silver lining" and this is the same as the "hikari" you are talking about. This has been seen in the Clannad the movie. @Xiao-san If my assumption is correct, you maybe older girl than me. Take note that I'm a boy though. Anyway, thanks for the reply and I hope you and Izumo-san can be my friends. I hope... Comment Nagisa surely an optimist and brave girl despite of her current condition. Want to gave birth at home and Tomoya as the first person to hold Ushio. I repect her for that. Akio-san has shown his mature side perfectly in this EP unlike in the previous EP. The way he consult Tomoya, "No matter what, we will overcome this as a family." There is some prediction element in this EP that is when Nagisa is reluctantly agreed to her promise with Tomoya that is to go to the beach with the 3 of them. Indicating...(You know) There is something missing though. Where is the other characters, especially Ibuki Fuuko. I hoped that she will show up later. But I think not. As far as I have seen, 2nd season is more about Tomoya and Nagisa. No question for this post as you guys have made it clear to me in your previous posts. PS: I considered everyone in this thread as my family members especially Izumo-san and Izumo-san. Thanks for supporting me. |

been away for a while, and i barely manage to catch up with the series. the plot been going intense eh, no more sunohara's stupidity and tomoyo's kungfu kick (i miss them) about ES-san question, i think Nagisa aware of her health and time is luxury for her which is why she wants a baby as soon as possible or probably she doesn't want to left Tomoya by himself. There are lots of reason why a girl wants a baby so bad, i too yet can understand the reason for that. after watching the preview of next episode, i think this is the right time to buy a box of tissue.

@ Xiao-san I'll never be prepared for what is going to happen soon, i'll be just like Raizo-san & get my tissues ready. When an event in something hits you so hard it is hard to forget about it no matter how hard you try to hold it in, it'll eventually come out T___T!!!! Seeing how they handle Ushio will be something i'm eagerly waiting for...she's a cute bundle of joy & everytime you see her you'll probably go 'Awwwww', even her short appearance in the movie was hard to resist. @ ES-san Well i'm glad you are able to join us in discussing & talking about a series that is worth every minute of. CLANNAD was a masterpiece as a game & now 2 great companies (KEY & KyoAni) has come together AGAIN to bring us the fruits of their labor. To elaborate on your first question. As you know having a child takes alot of responsibility from both persons involved. Nagisa wanting to have a child so quickly is her way of saying she's now all grown up & is ready for such a commitment. All this time it was her that has to be taken care of cause of her sickness, from her parents, to Tomoya. It just shows how far Nagisa has come in the series....perhaps she is the most developed of all the characters. Also the comment that Raizo-san made that she doesn't want to let Tomoya be alone is a fair assessment. However as you are about to see, Tomoya is not as strong a person as you think he is. Throughout the series you see glimpses of how he handles things when stuff get difficult around him....if you saw the movie you'll understand. He tends to alienate himself from others around him, this is very similar to what you are about to know about Tomoya's father. Even though Tomoya despises him they are very much alike. The movie did a good job on showing that side of Tomoya's story. *************************** When the need for a contiuation of this thread is needed i'll be sure to make it special for those who decide to join us in celebrating this 'life changing' series....yes again i'm over-exaggerating :P Oh one more thing before i stop blabbering. I found this nice novelty CD recently at my local anime shop. I saw Lia was on the CD so i definitely bought it. To my suprise it has a beautiful vocal rendition of a piece of CLANNAD bgm. I uploaded it to imeem, so let's see if you guys/gals can guess the BGM used for this song....*doh* i already named it.....nevermind then XD Hope you like it...it almost makes me want to cry....T__T. |

@ Raizo-san The album is called 'Veil ~assorted voices~'. It is distributed by Queen's label, one of Lia's affiliations. Included in the CD are some pretty songs from 'mostly game' singers from Aoi (who sings the song i posted), sola, Yuka, Kaori Omura, Yui Yamamoto, & of course Lia. That song Negai ga Bancho is also getting a single released later next month, it includes the vocal song i posted as well as other renditions of it as well. Look for it soon also!! ******************************** Just watched episode 16 & well one of my most reluctant episodes that i actually didn't want to see.....well....not much to say or summarize about this episode. You'll see for yourselves T___T!!!!!.....even the re-appearance of Sunohara, the Fujibayashi sisters & Kotomi couldn't calm the emotions surrounding this. DAMMIT! DAMMIT! DAMMIT! DAMMIT! God dammit.... I stop watching for 2 episodes and this happens!!! Dangit Key! Why does everything your studio writes have to do that!!! I give up. I don't care if there's more episodes. I'm not touching this show anymore...I can't handle it.

finally caught up with clannad XD...i just watched ep 13-16 and i loved/hated the set up... first they start with showing us two newly wed couples slowly adjusting and making their mark into society... we have nagisa,nagisa ready to take on a job as a waitress despite her weak and fragile nature...and we have tomoya..who did a fine job asking permission from Akio to marry nagisa his determination showed us that he is ready to start a new life with nagisa... then we see these two all lovey dovey...i loved the scene where nagisa asks for a baby..she was (was?T.T) just too cute... we get a glimpse of their dreams of starting a family, the beach scene was wonderful and the father-son in law talk at the construction site was nice..its nice to see in laws bond like that (kinda reminded me of the relationship of my dad and my grandpa) then the new year reunion...its nice to see these guys again...sunohara now all grown up(i really miss the blonde hair though) and kagami and tsukasa! (they looked like kyou and ryou XD) and kotomi..loved her outfit..hawt... but then tragedy strikes..on the same episode where you get a fuzzy nostalgic feeling..you get what?! why?! why break my heart and shatter it to pieces?! it was just too heartbreaking...its not just about nagisa dying...one can see it coming..it was inevitable..but watching their hopes and dreams get shattered like that..it makes you reflect and think on how unfair life it...or those big what if questions (what if i didnt do this or do that) and those difficult mind numbing questions and predicaments like that whole birth issue...when tomoya learned from sanae that there is a chance that nagisa might die, its like asking him to choose from nagisa or the baby... they simply showed us how reality likes to hit us hard...it really bites >.< anyway...speaking of tomoya..he seems he has not all that excited about being a dad..his answer to sunohara's question about the feelings of being a parent was kinda dissapointing...he's ok with it because the person he loves happens to have a baby and he ended up like that,living for her sake. i guess he really loves nagisa more than ushio...(maybe at this point in the story?) this episode is really...*WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA T.T* and something is telling me that this is just the beginning and more "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" moments will come... looks like i need to resupply my tissue box and brace myself for the episodes to come... |
