Well, at least Itachi got things somewhat sorted out before he was banned, for what reason I don't know. He knows what we said, and maybe through time he can find happiness and friends for himself. Farewell Itachi, one whom we were just beginning to make close friends with... I like what you said there Wolf, that's very true. Actions breed results, while wishes breed more wishes. |

Re: The Depression Thread V3

Look at it this way man, you can't MAKE people care about you. It just kinda happens. Not everyone in this world is going to be sympathetic. Walking down the streets of a city you will meet 100 new people but they will never say hello to you. Everything isn't just done for you. Most of the time you have to make things happen. If you want REAL friends then you are going to have to put yourself out there for everyone to see. The more times you let yourself be known, the more chances you will have at finding someone who likes you for you. And if you think that trying to make friends is tough, then think back to the first post you ever made. You put yourself out there and have been talking with people on gendou ever since. That means I don't ever want to hear you say you can't. And as far as your family goes, have you ever tried giving them a smile, a hug, sitting them down, and asking them how their day was? If I don't do that to my family I'll never even know when they come or go. Your family does care. That is something you should know and feel in your day to day living. But life comes quick and they aren't always as receptive as they should be. It's up to you to open them up and get them smiling again. This is my advice no matter if I'm on target or not. |

All right, I've observed enough, and I can see where I can help a little bit here. ItachiX: Something I've said before, many times, is this: Life doesn't give you meaning, you give life meaning. The same can apply to friends, if they don't miss you then they don't like you. Instead of saying that it's pointless and they don't like you, think about what you can do for them. By doing things for them, you make them like you (but don't put too much frosting on the cake), and thus they'll care about you. I've seen this in my life and other people's lives, it really works; help, and be helped. Nightmare: I have no idea where I should start on this one... First off, I totally agree that most people see anime as another source of all manner of hentai and ecchi. While I do admit that it IS in there, think about what you might see on, say, CSI. Graphic violence, descriptive rape, and everything else you might imagine. So the way I see it... Do you want some ecchi and something to watch that changes your life, or something rotten that will keep you entertained for a short time? My views are probably biased by the fact I love anime almost as much as someone I know, but I think what I said is more or less the truth. Also consider Smallville, Cold Case, Desperate Housewives, etc... And Fullmetal Alchemist is amazing. Yes, there's cool action, and there's cool "magic," but what kept me on the edge of my seat was the plotline and philosophy. Action and cool things to watch provide brief entertainment, while plotlines and philosophy keep you thinking and changing the way you view things. Honestly, if I never watched any anime, I'd be an entirely different person. Wolf: You need to quit killing yourself so much, it seems like every time something goes wrong it involves you messing up. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of care~! And to everyone: What you hear, see, or feel is what you think, what you think is what you do, what you do becomes a habit, and a habit is part of who you are. Think not, do not. |

i did save them, but it still seems like i dont exist to them, its not like i did what i did to get their thanks anyway.....once i left the house for a week...i stood at a motel...to relieve stress... when i came back, they said...'you were gone the whole time?' i almost went insane hearing this (literally) *this was two weeks before the incident* @haniko-i do try to keep busy, but it still doesnt help....school is just as bad |
Re: The Depression Thread V3

itachiX, u said u had saved your family's life..well , maybe u r borned for that..u know, not everyone could have a chance to save ppl's life, which is a very great deed to do..well, its not like everyone is waiting for that chance, but you survived out of it..ppl might die doing the same thing...so , dont feel u r not useful at all... or if you really think so, then get a live, do something to stop wat you are thinking ...

Itachi - You create your own life, and you create your own use. This is not a disputable fact :P It all becomes a matter of choice. |
Re: The Depression Thread V3

well, im back...my campout was great! i just got through watching AIR...its a great anime that i highly recomend. the only thing is that it makes me wonder..how many people in today's society would actually understand it? i mean, in america, people seem to not really care about anime...and the ones that do only care about the action anime like Fullmetal Alchemist and Hellsing. (not saying that those are bad...hellsing is still my favorite!) but seriously, would people in america understand or even make an attempt to understand what actually happens in an anime like AIR? i mean look at Fullmetal Alchemist...i know alot of people that have seen it...and only one person that i know of cares about the emotional aspects of the storyline...everyone elses is just concerend with the "cool magical stuff" (yep, some dont even know its called Alchemy) it makes me kinda sad that people do not appriciate things as much as they should...animes like AIR and SaiKano are true works of art that try to teach people about core aspects of the human psychi. but do most people appriciate it? no! they think AIR is stupid, pointless and boring..and the only reson that some people would watch SaiKano is for the explosions and the sex scenes...thats another thing...sometimes when i talk about anime, people automatically think Hentai....they think of it as just another porn sorce....its dispicable. i really wish that i could really show people the art and beauty in anime's like AIR, SaiKano, First Kiss Story, Card Captor Sakura, Fuits Basket, exc. *sigh* sorry for the rambling... |

*wags finger at wolf* If you were to count your steps this might not have happened. You never know though, after all you could mess up your steps and realy hurt yourself. Pole through your face hurt yourself. Itachi, Sure your useful. You just aren't thinking about it hard enough. I'm sure someone needs you, don't think you wouldn't be missed if you just left. I used to think that then I did just leave and found out many people were saddend by my leaving. You never think about the ones who would miss you the most beacuse they're the ones who you see everyday, and they depend on that as much as you do. |

Re: The Depression Thread V3

Nah it was a late plant. I don't count my steps so I kinda plant by ear. My plant pushed my lower hand into my pole and overextended my upper hold. Which in turn killed all of my pole speed and sent me up and not through. Usually I can push my lower hand out and fix the vault but on that one I guess I wasn't thinking. The only thing I wanted to do was up my seat in State's so I could vault later in the rotation. I just hope my leg is good enough so I can go to training camp in August. On the brighter side I have a lot of time to lift upper body =D. |

Wolf, you seem to have a problem with comming down short. I'm no pole-vaulter, but I do know a good chunk o' physics and what-not. I've never seen you do a run up so I can't sure, and I guess it won't help you for this year but, it may be because you aren't acclerating fast enough. Although, with a 10.6 100 you really shouldn't have that problem. Or you may not be peaking your speed during the run. Again, I've never seen you vault or run for that matter so I can't be sure. Roq, I think I'm going to have a copy of it framed, it's too similar to my own life to be ignored. Me and this holden character seem to have a lot in common. Itachi, there's on question you can ask yourself to see if you're depressed: "Do I have worth as a person?" The opposite of the answer you give to that question will be the answer to weather or not you have deprssion. |

Yo what's goin' on fellas? It feels like forever since I was on here. How is everybody? I'm feeling a little bummed out. I went to the District Champs and ran my 100m and 200m good enough to make State's. 10.6 and 21.4 respectively. I was excited about that. I went to go polevault and ruined my day, week, month, and year. I still got 1st but at 15' I came down in the box and busted my shin in half. YAY! There goes my season...I F$%^IN' HATE S@#T!!! Anyway hope everything's been goin' good. Much Love |
