[@Jon] Yeah, that's too bad to hear. Just enjoy what you can is all I can say. [@GM] I guess, but Clear isn't really that bad, but for the same price as Verizon, I'd get Verizon in this situation. Because my dorm/school has this support with Verizon, so our building is only wired for Verizon. Apparently there's a switch for each room to even activate it, which I find very strange, plus I'm looking out for future roomates because with Clear, I wouldn't be able to dL my media whenever I'd want while other people do, too. Plus I never have gotten a 6.0 speedtest result, while at my friend's place, they clearly went over. That's what I want for 45$ a month. Plus I think all I have to do is call them and say my school name and they hook us up fast. My friends went home for Mother's day, so by Sunday I'll call or whatever, let's get some homework done for this weekend. Other than some financial loan crap I have to talk to my advisor about (really soon), I'll have canceled Clear by early next week, use my friend's internet for about a week and a half, then I'll have my own internet for good. Man, what a fishy situation with internet. But honestly, if I had a different choice I'd honestly keep Clear, their service is pretty good, but if anything I'd recommend Comcast over anything. It's faster AND cheaper.

Hey everyone, I'm just checking things out and decided to post here... :D It's been pages long since I was last here, I didn't have time to check before but that's water under the bridge. So yeah, it has been a month since my summer vacation ended and school's pretty much took my life. Back then I said that I wouldn't be the 'easy-going'/carefree student.. but I guess I already broke that. I already have 4 absent marks and no less than 20 late remarks on my attendance, forgot w/c classes are those. I like taking my majors now, I hate my professors, as for my minors they are clawing their stupid work and being like majors already... >.> I don't care if I'm not making sense anymore, this really just have to go out of my system... XD Aside from academics, being inside the Council is too much work. Papers to file, and everything... I'm starting to stress out more than I'd ever had... If there are course offerings on 'Time Management 101' I'll be the first one to sign up... >.> The shared house is empty except for me, everyone else moved out since they were to graduate next term... I dunno if I would be staying here after that. I wouldn't want to live inside the shared house with people I'm not comfortable with, I'll move out if someone else moves in... I'm pretty much not broke anymore... my job right now is being a student assistant. I pretty much stay inside an office, and I get paid by the hour at the rate of 5USD... and I work for 32 hours in a week, not bad at all for my needs. All I need to do is sit in my chair, talk to my friends when they visit me, play games when alone, watch things in my laptop... or actually sleep... XD anyways, that's my life in 5 minutes of typing... hope everyone's okay... :D

@GM - I was thinking about that, but I think I would rather hold off until IM2 comes out on Blu-Ray (the theater here isn't that great in terms of picture quality). Yay, the old club! Now I have a reason for being grumpy and crotchety all the time, or at least through today.    |

@DA~ I get the feeling your school even gets some discount with Verizon. Well, whatever works out, you hope to try both. See which one works out best for ya. For 45$ a month, definitely need more than a 6.0. I wish my mom was actually here. She went back to Taiwan for 2 weeks. It's already been 1 week, and she'll be coming back this upcoming Saturday. I wish I got to go back with her, but I can't afford a vacation like that yet or even have time to take one. Only vacation I can spend is in my room and sleep more. I still have my car loan payments to pay off. This feels like it's taking so long. I hope I get a raise at work soon. My only co-worker that decided to switch departments, got himself fired. He was a jerk anyways, but now I'm out of co-workers for my department. xD @Keiri~ Damn.. dude.. I can understand your stress somewhat. There is the option of dropping a class, isn't there? Gotta find time to unwind and release stress. Your job sounds awesome though. I would love to have that job. Seems so free. Though for 5 USD... seems low, but with how lax it is, I can understand. @Jonathan~ The theater here is pretty nice. Tried to apply for a job for it.. didn't get a call back. But somehow, one of my sister's friends got a job there. And she's only in high school. So I wtf-ed. :\ I actually went to watch Iron Man 2 today. I won't spoil anything. But I thought it was awesome. It's a mech/mecha fans fantasy. @_@   |

[@GM] Nah not some discount, we just have some connection with them (like Subway). Except at Subway we actually do get a student discount. Footlong and drink for like 5.40$. There's also the one chinese place near our main building, even with a discount off it's so expensive. :/ Well a 6.0 Mbps is actually really good. Even for one person it's more than enough. My current Clear connection is apparently wired for that, but it's slower speed test wise, but just me using it alone it's never disappointed me and honestly, it's pretty good. But yeah I'm looking for future roomates to chip in the future, so Verizon would be best I guess.

gm: 5USD converted to our currency is worth two digits already... so yeah 5USD for us is like 30USD in real dollar terms... XD but yeah, it's all worth it... I'm just doing this for extra money, it doesn't go to my living necessities but to my needs.. XD DA: waiting for your profile dude, catch you on fb... school all-nighters are fast approaching.. XD

Oh yeah, looking to FINALLY start working on my new profile. Good news my friend managed to get into my hard drive (PC) so I'm obtaining my old files now, but it doesn't matter because I'm totally going for a new look since I've been known to use a more consistent style now, but who knows. And I'm still figuring out what to do with my Haruhiism Club. Once again I feel as if the forums are just dead again...

@DA - I'm pretty sure the forums are dead because this is a test heavy period for most people who are in school. At least, that's what I hope is going on, I've been bored senseless with the lack of posts going on. Little work for me this week, nothing to really do, I should be getting back to my backlog of games but for some reason I don't have the will, this week has been unbelievably boring for me so far. I wish I had some kind of life. >.> I might actually get to bed at a reasonable time tonight. |

[@Jon] Somewhat true yeah, it depends on like what grade though, cause a lot of my friends in public colleges are already or about to get on Summer break, and I'm like barely midway through my Spring quarter. Bored senseless with the lack of posts? I've been mostly like that for the past few months! I mean like, nobody talks anymore. Not in the forums at least. But there's never anything I can do. I post on other forums, too, but not as actively as here but yeah I mainly post here pretty much, nowhere else. Yeah I just registered for my Summer quarter on Monday. Triple class monday, afternoon class Tuesday, and night class Wednesday (which I might change, not sure). But yeah, for sure I'd need to get the legit amount of sleep when I need to next quarter, and might find work. I mean I have to.

LOL) ill be a college student soon. >.<" i dont know what to feel. excitement and anxiousness are taking their tolls on me. and as for my course, i decided to take up Physical Therapy as my pre-med. thats just too far from what i initially chose, Engineering. @DA~ Chinese restaurants are always so pricey. I've only seen the take-out ones that are rather cheap. But, with so much of your school using Verizon, you would think there be some sort of discount. xD I need to get my own connection soon. Kinda tired of using my neighbor's, since it disconnects so often. @Keiri~ Dang... I'll need to go to where you are for a vacation one day. I could probably have so much fun. [@GM] It's not really a restaurant, but I can only label it as just a chinese place. It's overpriced slightly, but yeah I saw the other place, the place I prefer and that's cheaper's inside today, and from the looks of it they added another buffet table, so there's two now instead of one. I'm definitely going to try to get something from there this month or whenever, sometime soon maybe when I run out of food, and see what they offer. The other place I'd only ever go to now, is because they have these Korean cold noodles I LOVE! But yeah, if the other place closer to my dorms has it, then yeah you know where I'm going. And they kept the discount, too, w00t. Well the school and housing department, although related, are two separate areas of "school". Although the bills are linked up, thank god that'd be a pain in the ass to deal with separately, but yeah we're responsible for getting or not getting internet it's not our fault, but honestly, instead of charging everyone 30$/quarter for cable when we don't even have a TV, they definitely should have some sort of school discount for Verizon, seriously, but ugh, I'm skeptical about getting rid of Clear because I really like it, and it's CONSISTENT, which Verizon is not, but for the money I'd rather get something faster though, slightly inconsistent, but, meh... And yeah if I ever hook up a wireless router to it, I'd have future people chip in to use it. Don't use your neighbor's, that's not the way to go. You should get Comcast, which is actually cheaper than Verzion and better. Or you could just get basic DSL, but I'unno. For some reason it was faster on my Macbook than it ever was on my desktop-PC. Strange.

WHAT'S UP EVERYONE? That's right, I'm back and better then ever — know why? Internet. My own, highspeed internet, plugged directly into my computer after getting setup today. No longer will I have to use a neighbors wireless that was weak, crashed a lot due to distance and problems on their end, and would go down for a month or longer at times. That was why I haven't been around too much – no net. Now, however, I will be here normally as there is nothing to keep me down. I have a constant, insanely fast-paced internet, free reign to be on at all times. That means I won't be vanishing again, unless I get sick or school work has me swamped -- which isn't likely. I've been well for quite sometime, haha! .. and oh, did you catch that school comment? That's right! I start college in 3 days, this Tuesday. I'm only going to be going on Tuesdays and Thursdays however, taking two classes until the fall to help get my feet wet after being out of school for so long. It's 6 Credit hours [ 3 Each ] and both classes [ English 101 and Sociology ] count towards my major of Journalism [ Sports ]. I'm going to the 2 year college first, then I'm transferring out into a 4-Year University, The University of South Carolina. Luckily all the classes I plan to take at this school will count towards my Major and WILL transfer. Wish me luck, and it's great to be back! How has everyone been, though? Everyone doing well and enjoying their lives? I've been gone and have missed you all, so be sure to hit me up and post on my profile chat if you wanna talk. [@Shuy] Neat. I recently got my own internet, too. What are you using btw? Good luck with college btw. Expect some miserable times and stressful school situations, for sure... XD I'm so close to Summer break. Four weeks until this quarter ends actually! About two weeks until Memorial Day weekend, I'll have Tuesdays off so no double classes there, then go home, come back for the final two weeks of classes, then Summer break for about a month. Hoping to come back with my own HD TV so I can finally play my PS3 in room instead of my friends two floors down in our dorm. But yeah, I gotta seriously search for work this Summer, cause I gotta pay for internet monthly now, but expecting a new roomate soon since my last one moved out, so yeah hopefully he's someone with the times and uses internet... XD

@DA — AT&T myself, the fastest they offer. I have the modem in my room, right behind me [ thus, behind my desk ] and the Ethernet cord runs from there, along my floor to behind my desk and into my computer. Pretty great speed, but it did crash on me about an hour and a half ago .. I wonder if it was power, the game I was playing, or the fact my computer was trying to install updates. I hope it was the updates, cause I don't want the modem crashing whenever I try to play some games. Otherwise, that will get old fast, lmao. Hopefully a possible roommate would like to use the net and will thus help pay for it, as that will make it a lot easier. Luckily my dad is paying for mine, though I should say ours, since both him and my mom are also using it through the wireless. I'm hoping this first term won't swamp me too hard. It's just a couple classes, but who knows. I gotta stay focused and keep my head up, since a few weeks ago when I was admitted I was excited .. now? I'm kinda dreading the start. I gotta be hopeful though! |

Hmm, how fast is it precisely? Do you know how many megs you get? Umm, yeah that's what an ethernet cable is for... :D I have mines like that, too, I just now gotta get my friend to bring me his wireless router. Monday ends my free trial period with Clear, but yeah I decided to keep it. Hopefully I won't regret it later on. :O How much are you guys paying a month for it? I'm totally getting Comcast after I graduate and moving back home. My sister has DSL to herself right now, not sure how fast it's for her computer but yeah DSL's pretty slow to start with. Wait, are you actually going to the two year college or just taking those two classes before you actually enroll? I'm guessing you're going to community college to get the credits and then transferring to that university. I have to deal with the most complicated thing a student should NOT deal with when it comes to college. Financial f#cking Aid!

24 Megs DL and I get around 3.5 Upload at Max Speeds. It runs great as far as DLing say, music and stuff goes. Playing games and running various things seem to run just fine without any kind of lag, and it works out rather well. The price is uh, 65.00 + 3.00 [ for the " Gateway " router for Wireless ], so 68. Also, from what I heard, DSL runs like 1.5 megs and slower. As for School, Im heading to Tech for 2 years. I'm just taking two courses this summer to get use to school again, then I'll take on a full or close to full class load next semester. Once I get 30 Credit hours towards my major [ Journalism ] at the 4 Year? I'll be transferring into there. I just need to make good grades before I get there so I can make it in ASAP. |

Oh wow yeah, that's pretty good. Well playing games and using software involves your computer's handling capability, not the internet itself. If you're lagging while playing online games or something, yeah that involves the internet. DSL is slower yeah, but it did really well on my Mac for some reason. Plus it's still like dirt cheap. The contract for ours at home is way over so I could easily get a new one with Comcast in a few years.
