@Bkno9 KAMPAI~ : D WE HAVE WON! : D Yes, I am back. The visit was fun, I think I already told you online about it. :3 And lol, Himitsu deshou ne? >D Yes, you shall! YOU EEZ TAMAKI, and... I... I AM KYOUYA! >D *dark aura* Vestal Sprite is my favorite character for some reason, besides Yuuko and Doumeki (<3). Not really, I just find it more fun to cosplay in a group. Cosplaying alone is alright but booooring. LOL. WHAT?! ARE MY GLOMPS THAT CHEAP?! That's it. I'm raising the price. RM 1.48 now! Yeah, about the paragraph after, I believe that one day, the Malaysian Public will really grow sick of this childish play that the politicians are putting up. We're not 'kataks' anymore, you know. :( @Mchia In my opinion, no and yes. For my 'Yes' debate, it's because it's convenient. Some people don't have enough money to support their own family, so in a way, it saves time. They can just live there with other people they can talk to, and be visited by family on other days. They don't have to worry about food, shelter or even socializing. Some old folks receive more love and attention in a shelter home rather than their own. I know a few uncles and aunties who have asked their own children to put them into Shelter Homes to save the inconvenience of having them as a burden in the family (Which many did say they didn't want to) A lot of old people want to die happy, and not die in rotting pain where they have to go through the torment of being unloved by their ungrateful children. Shelter homes that are funded by the government makes it even better. As for 'No' debate, it's because it's ungrateful. It's not fair that your parents who had to sacrifice their hand, foot and tongue to raise kids, and earn enough to feed their own children. Of course, majority of the spoiled children don't see it this way as they've been brought into the world, fed with a golden spoon (which many evidently leads to sending their parents to shelter homes). It's not like the older days where the mother takes 3 shifts, has to only use one bowl of rice to feed her children for dinner while she starves herself instead. Some children put their own parents in there not because they can't take care of them, but they're afraid of looking at themselves when they grow old. The thought of being old and feeble and useless in the house scares them, therefore, to eradicate the problem, they have to get rid of their fear. It's injustice: If the parents who raised you can sacrifice everything for you, why can't you in return? Honor thy father and mother; it's mentioned in a lot of religions, be it Christianity, Judaism, Islam or the other lot. It's only right for the child to take care of the people who raised them and stay with them till the end of their days, making sure that they're always enjoying blissful times. If a dog can stay with its owner loyally till the end of its day, why not a child for their own parents? Overall, weighing both sides, I'm gonna say that I'm with 'No'. Despite everything, I will definitely take care of them till the end. Because I definitely want to be taken care of by my future generation when I'm old and wrinkly. Do unto others as others would do unto you. |

@vincent "i mean da heck with the politician. Doing all kinda thing but i dunno why they do so and for what reason.."<--- well, they're politicians after all. They feel the need to get into the papers once in awhile XD P.S check your pm~! @yuwei LOLZ~! you've visited my profile huh.. XD Nope, I'm pretty sure I'm not your teacher, so no worries about that XD There's another reason for the falling-off-chair, but I'll keep that a secret XD. Which state are you from? @mchia Awww.. germany eh? Why do you like them?? Their playing style is boring... >_<; LOLZ.. no offense.. it's a free universe after all, you can be a fan of Greece if you choose to XD Hmmm?? Which part of Perak are you in? Actually.. you'll have more spare time to do your own stuff when you get to uni XDD As long as you maintain your studies la.. and if you stay outside of campus with frens. Cos, think about it.. your parents aren't there to control how you spend your time. You'll be having pretty much unlimited internet access. There's no tuition. There's no piano classes. There's no extra-school activities. There's no clubs meetings to attend. XDD All those are optional once you go to uni/college. Pretty much, you only join activities/clubs if you're interested in them. LOLZ i suppose that's why i found that I'm closer to my high school frens than in uni.. cos I went home to sleep every chance that i get.. wahahaha.. I'm a bad example. >_<; YESHU.. look foward to uni/coll life~! And make sure you graduate~! On your topic, meep-chan gave some pretty good points, which I also agree on mostly. But, let me say some more from a teacher's point of view.. First off.. dun worry whether you're answering 'yes' or 'no'. Your teacher is not looking for any right answers for this. What he/she is looking for, is maturity in thinking and how you put your thoughts in writing. How you arrange your points in a nice flow of words. I suppose this is BI/BM assignment? So, grammar counts then. I'd have to say this is a good topic.. and since it's open ended, you can actually give reasons for both 'yes' and 'no'. BUT~! there's a possibility your arguments become weak if you put reasons for both yes and no. So think about your own feelings on this, and decide on either one, and then stick to it. Your argument will be much stronger that way. Personally, there are some factors to be taken into account. By order of most important to least important (my own personal opinion), 1. the elder's feelings - whether they want it or not. 2. the health of the elder - if the elder has trouble walking, or needs constant medical care (from professional nurse), it may be better to send them to a home, esp if the adults are all working or cannot cope with the medical needs. 3. the financial standings of the family - face it, private homes will always give better service, but it comes with a price. If the family is somewhat rich, they can even employ a stay-at-home nurse/maid just for the elder. I'm not comfortable with gov-run homes...sympathetic NGOs are better. @meep *sensei modo* Good job~! *gives meep a 'STAR' for her answer* XD Kyouya~! So.. who's haruhi then? XD WHAT~!? Rm 1.48 for a glomp?? HOW MUCH FOR A SEASON PASS OF GLOMPS~?? XDD P.S Nil, if you can read this.. your avvie/siggie done XD Check your pm. I changed my avvie as well XD |

Hi! I'm from Klang! What do you think about all the rallies and protests about the fuel hike?? I don't know about it, I don't think it's gonna work, but 'almost' no harm in trying right? By the way I am into Gothic Lolita that's suddenly becoming popular in K.L.

@bkno9 APA STAR STAR SEMUA NI?! LOL. I demand a 100 for my report card! XD Yes, Kyouya~ Erm.. Erm... Haruhi? Eto... *waves fan* I'm more of a Nekozawa than Haruhi so you have to find your own Haruhi then. And lol, price hike again. :P I've raised it to RM5.60 per glomp. @Mchia No worries. :) I used to be in my school's debate team so I have to always do all this XD;;; And sure, post up your composition so we can see :) @Kira Aww... *waves* You prolly haven't met me, so come back soon! : D @Advi Hellolo~ Klang is wide :P Apparently. 2nd question, we debated on it a few pages ago (the topic of the fuel hike) but the rallies and protests? Prolly won't work. It's not like the Govt will change anything. It's not politic-wise, we're talking economy-wise. Right now, M'sia's status is not even in the green. But I'm looking at the fuel thing at the bright side. I don't get traffic jams for 2 1/2 hours driving from my place to my college, so I don't have to get up at 5.30 and leave my place by 6.30 every morning now. Now, I only take 15 mins from here and back. I don't get to see reckless idiots who drive on the highway at 150kmph racing back (Since the Saman Project didn't work anyway) because all of them are trying to save their expenses on petrol! And that is awesome. Because less fuel consumption = less time for the world to deteriorate. GothLoli? LOL. You mean, the fashion right? I'm not sure about them though, those in KL. Those aren't really GothLoli. Attempt on GothLoli, yes, but not the culture. GothLoli itself is a culture, not just a fashion statement. But glad that you like GothLolis. |
Re: The Malaysians Thread ( I )

@ rinzhen: Klang is getting bigger but it's still small! Yes, I'm into Gothloli. Yes, I know most of the Gothloli in K.L have mixed Lolita with punk-lolita or both styles with Western Goth. *rolls eyes* But let me tell you a real Gothic Lolita dress is not cheap! The one I have right now, which I bought cheap-cheap for RM46 is well... a 'boleh tahan' dress but still not the real deal. A "real" Gothloli dress with all the frills and lace is over RM300 and up! I think that's why you don't see any real 'gosuloli' about yet. Thanks for telling me you guys have already discussed the fuel price hike several pages ago. Sorry but I didn't know. I don't know about some of those reckless idiots not racing madly anymore. At night I can still hear one or two cars (yes cars) racing up and down the main raod to my Taman. I think they can do that because they must have gotten their money from the post office. Oh, sorry about the long post.

yipee~! i get to use colour~! XD @yuwei LOL~! noess.. you've got it completely wrong >_<; Here's a hint: look at my username. @kira hihi~! you've been away for soo long.. *glomps kira* @shin *gasp~! a mod~!* XD irashai~! @advi welcome to the malaysian's thread~! rallies~? yup there was one today. I dun think anything is gonna change though. I mean, it's a good way to show that the rakyat are strongly affected by the price hike, but if you think about it, the world oil price is increasing all the time. I am of the opinion that the review on oil subsidy was the right thing to do in the long run. I just wished they'd use the money saved from the subsidy on something that directly improves the situation, like better public transport, for example. Also, I'm highly suspicious that the world oil price is really really inflated. There's isn't an oil shortage in the world is there? Not at least for another 50 years. So why is the price of oil increasing? WHO KNOWS. LOL and yes, no harm in trying. Goth loli? Becoming popular?? REALLY?? O_o I can't say I've seen much around Kl though, at least not the real thing. There's a bit of mix and match, and some minor elements of it, mostly the socks and the footwear, but not much else. Oh, long post?? Dun worry about it.. ehehe.. try checking back a couple of pages in this thread to see what i mean. @meep *sensei modo* *smacks meep-chan on the hands with a ruler* LOL. NO. you get what you're given. XD *GASP* Nekozawa of the dark magic club? XD How much does one of those voodoo cat puppets sell for? XD There's this person, see, who's like mix between Nodame and Rin? XD Perhaps if I write her name on the doll and dress the doll up in a meido uniform... XD Bwahahaha.. a price increase has no meaning in cyberspace~!! X3. *glomps meep again. AND AGAIN* XDD Hmmm.. I haven't noticed any reduction in the traffic around my area though. I still face the same traffic jam on the way to work everyday. *sigh* Really~!?? 15 mins from your place?? arienai~~ I agree about the ppl on highways though XD Ppl are much saner nowadays, yes. @mchia Oh, your sis is pursuing a degree in Germany? Yup yup, there has been some form of collabo between our gov and theirs for some time now. If i remember correctly, the tuition fees for the education is free, and you get some allowance money to eat and live there and all, so it's a pretty good deal. You'd have to study German language though, but that's not a problem, since you say your sis likes it there. You're gonna miss her, huh. @iryu Hihi~! welcome~! There's no set rules for this thread, just some simple intro on yourself? Like where you're from and what you're currently doing, what anime/manga you're into. Other than that, you're free to post anything you like XD Locally dubbed animes FAIL. Actually, I avoid watching dubbed animes, whatever the language (yesh, that includes english-dubbed ones). Fan-subbed anime are still the best in my opinion. |
Re: The Malaysians Thread ( I )

Hi MChia, Vincent and Bkno9! Thanks for the warm welcome!! :) Hi iryu! I never watch animes or cartoons for that matter that are dubbed in Bahasa. The voice actors are horrible! Wait... Full Metal Alchemist in on tv… but it's in Bahasa. Never mind, I'll safe up money and get the DVDs. But I do what some of animes dubbed in English. But I think the best English dubbed animes come from Funimation. So far what I've seen of their work in Fruits Baskets and Trinity Blood is quiet all right. @Bkno9 : Gothloli is only worn (right now) by those brave enough to don the whole ensemble. Not many are daring enough here to dress up like that. But right now what's more popular is the Harajuku type fashion. Yes, there is not muny gothloli's around KL right now, but just give it time. I heard it's easier to see Gothic Lolitas around KL during the weekend. I saw one weeks ago on the train back to Klang on a Saturday. Cute girl in a blue dress and all. I did my gothic Lolita outing the other day and had a lot of fun. Some guys kept calling 'Princess' and 'Fuu lawa'. It was hard not to laugh but oddly enough I got a lot of scary looks from other girls. *brrr*scary* I think it's understandable why there are not many true lolita’s around because the look is not cheap.

@Advi Hahaha, Klang is getting too big for me, that's for sure. I bet the traffic has increased too. LOL. Don't worry, I know Lolis as well. I have plenty of mates I know who also have Loli dresses. And lol, I know a few people from Loli Meets, so GothLoli isn't foreign to me. I don't think it's price that makes it Loli. Mind you, I know people who have dresses that are over RM2000, and are from renowned Loli brands like Metamorphose, h.Naoto, EXCENTRIQUE, Moi-Meme-Moitie, Atelier Pierrot and a lot more. And that's about most of the prices of authentic Loli dresses are, even in Japan. Gothloli is fine though, I'm more into SweetLoli ^^; Don't get me wrong, I do study the culture of Loli a lot (And I have been for quite some time) and I don't mean to offend. It's just my opinion, and I respect yours very much. I assume you think by now I'm just being rude, but well, that's my humble opinion. @mchia : D Please do. I'm waiting for it : D @Aryll Welcome :) Erm... FMA, I didn't attempt watching. Because the Naruto in Malay killed me. XD;; Kakashi's voice stabbed me -9,999HP. @Bkno9 (I saved you best for last) GOSH, YOU ARE EVIL ;O; I'm already like your Mikuru and you're bullying me like this?! How dare you, Haruhi-sama!! ;O; .... Apparently, the stock is finished and will not be sold anymore. It'll take 600 years to make a new one :P EGADS, I'm so charging you when I meet you up for coffee D: And lol, I'm not putting on my maid suit until you put on an Edelstein costume. MWAHAHAHA >D Yeah, 15 minutes from my place to college, which is like WOOTNESS~<3 EHEHE. |
