misae's arc surprisingly short, its kinda tricky to get her orb cos i have to finish tomoyo'arc after finishing misae's... but overal for tomoyo'arc i think i like the anime version better.

@renma After you pick those 3 options, thats where the Misae flashback starts. Puts tomoya's efforts all to shameeee. x3 but its good. :3 @rai I guess i like to read more than i like to watch. And i like it more when they almost kissed like everyday, and kyoani just have to remove ALL of the scenes. >_>"  |

@ Suzaku-san It is ok to play visual novels by Key cause the majority of the time they are for all-ages. There is usually no risque,obscenities, or nudity in the game, there may be some ecchi but that is about it. Usually Key will make 2 versions of a game, an all-ages & adult one. CLANNAD is different cause Jun Maeda heard complaints from fans wanting an adult version so he made Tomoyo After (since Tomoyo is so popular) to 'satisfy' the fans. So you don't have to worry that your parents will walk in on you playing CLANNAD :D @ Xiao-san, Renma-san & Raiz-san Wow!! it's so great to hear you guys are so into the game...makes me want to play it again. Last time i played it was 2 years ago...not much to do once you finished all the routes other than loading up a save & seeing the True ending again & again. If you guys are having difficulties in obtaining certain routes or endings you can use the 300 hour Walkthrough found here: CLANNAD 300 hour walkthrough  However i highly reccommend using this as a last resort so it doesn't ruin your overall experience of the game. ******************************* This is just my opinion & not to be taken too seriously & i apologize beforehand to those who may be offended by this (fan girls/boys in particular :D). As many of you know i'm a HUGE fan of the series & game. I love all the characters cause they are some of the most developed & likable around. I know some of you guys/gals are disappointed that Kyoani has omitted some scenes from characters in the anime like the Fujibayashi Sisters as well as Tomoyo. Though i too wished they could've expanded on them, i understand the reasoning for this. Whether it be due to time constraints (obvious reasons), the fact that Nagisa's route is the main focus or maybe cause both of their scenarios have little to do with the overall theme of CLANNAD which is family. Both the sisters & Tomoyo's routes are more individual romances than having to do with anything family related. Yes i know there are some aspects of this in their scenarios (2 sisters & Tomoyo's brother), though they play little part in their stories overall. That's just something i came up with & i wonder if anyone else agrees or not. Feel free to chime in on this. Anyways since you guys are playing the game you'll realize that once the 'real' After Story begins you'll notice that some of the characters will have little or no involvement in it. Characters like Kotomi, Yukine & Tomoyo are almost absent in the story....not sure if the anime series will be the same way although looking at the OP sequence it looks like Kotomi may play apart in it. Of course Kyou & Sunohara will have some role as well as a certain 'Starfish' loving gal! So don't be too dissappointed when you notice that. As for Misae's route it sure looks like it'll be 2 episodes maybe 3...i guess this time it is due to time constraints. They have yet to begin Yukine's route & there are 18 episodes left for ALOT of content.  |

i thought the only game where they made a adult and normal version was little busters. didnt know there was adult version for clannad? tomoyo after doesnt count o.o Air and kanon b4 were all H-games

@nssigh Don't forget Planetarian XDD As far as I Recall regarding the content, it's for all age as well *Planning to tackle planetarian after this one* Well,, Clannad is the first non-adult Visual Novel key made I believe.. the second being is Planetarian. Actually... Little Busters! Ecstasy (The sequel of it, I Think) which is just released recently do have some adults content inside. @Izumo ah, Thanks XDD Already looked into that one when I'm stuck in Tomoyo's route XDD It's kinda true though.. Looking in the anime, Kotomi's Arc is kinda like a standalone and independent route to others and it's a bit errr out of place if Nagisa were inside of it.. Same goes with Yukine. Yukine's arc, eh? Hmmmm I Think they already set it up.. Anyone remembered the scene when a guy suddenly popped out from below the table? XDD Recall something now?  |

now that u mention it, clannad is played through boy's first person view, i wonder if girls can enjoy the game as much as the boys. I mean can u really feel how happy a men can be when a girls sleep in your lap or waking u up everyday xD

@rai and understanding all the men jokes. XD @renma and @nssigh Air and Kanon has non-adult version as well. Clannad is the first visual novel Key made that dosent contain adult scenes for the first release. Most of the arcs are pretty much standalone arcs. I guess Key dosent like harems... @izumo Hehe, i just reinstalled clannad not too long ago, but recently my project needs the english regional language to run, so i cant find time to change it back to japanese to play clannad ;_; Yea, After Story only retains certain characters; those arcs that are really considered individual (Tomoyo, Misae, Yukine) dont expect those characters to reappear in After Story, unless kyoani has some other ideas. Since they showed Takfumi in the ED... I guess some time will be spent on tomoyo (YAY!) somewhere before the After Story arc. Tomoyoooo~~~~ <3~ |

@ nssigh-san True KANON & AIR were originally erogames though all-ages versions for them were eventually made hence the 2 versions (not counting the ports to consoles :P). CLANNAD was the first true all-ages game by Key but like i said Jun Maeda-san recieved complaints from fans who wanted an 18+ version. Not wanting to 'Mess around' with the innocence of CLANNAD Jun Maeda-san & the folks at Key decided to take probably the most popular character in the series (Tomoyo) and expand on her story with an adult version. Thus Tomoyo After was created. An actual 18+ version of CLANNAD wasn't made. Planetarian was the 2nd all-ages game followed by the original Little Busters!. The new version Ecstasy is basically the same game with 2 new characters & scenario for each but as an added bonus adult content was added.Still the core of the game remained the same. Not sure if the newest game 'REWRITE' (in the works) is an all-ages or 18+ game since very little has been shown about it. A few characters as well as some plot points has surfaced.  @ Renma-san That guy shown in that one episode has some importance to Yukine's route, though her actual route hasn't begun yet. They referenced a little of it in episode 3 or 4 about her older brother. Eventually the anime will show why she is so nice & comfortable around a couple of delinquents like Tomoya & Sunohara. Once they complete Misae's route which looks to be over soon, Yukine may be next. Get use to them cause they will exit the stage very soon when Nagisa 'graduates'. @ Raiz-san Heh heh...isn't it usually the guy laying on the girls lap in most anime series & the girl using some cotton swab to tickle the guys ear? Or something like that... Well the majority of visual novels ARE catered to the male audience (cause we are all pervs XD, figuretively speaking) however i think that games like CLANNAD , the all-ages version of KANON & AIR, as well as some others can be played by female audiences cause it is the story & lovable characters that draws you in. How can female audiences resist the cuteness of Fuko, Misuzu or Ayu!!! @ Xiao-san Personally i think Kyoani (with permission from CLANNAD creators) will show the other characters that aren't usually in the 'After Story' to really focus on the premise of Family. In the movie (i know you haven't seen it yet) Tomoyo shows up (along with Sunohara) to help Tomoya get out of his depression so there is a possibilty. As for Takafumi appearing, Kyoani may expand on the 'special' episode from the first season...remember in the original game Takafumi plays a role in her route & the last scene you see of Tomoyo is of her with Takafumi strolling down while cherryblossoms fall. Though how they will fit this in the anime without disrupting the Nagisa route will be a test. Like i said 18 episodes left & still ALOT of stuff yet to be shown. I just hope it won't be too compressed. |

@izumo-san : i actually talking about yukine xD. i think it would be interesting if there is a visual novel in female first person view xD i already got the walkthough before but thx anyway, i wonder why they call it 300 hour walkthrough. after finishing 5 arc in visual novel, i have to say im really impressed with kyoani in putting all those lengthy story into few episodes.

@Izumo yeaps, I know that XDD Already finished em yesterday.. Though,, I Think that dude should be Blonde? like sunohara Hmm, or was it just my mistake... True true.. all of em (Misuzu, Ayu and Fuko)are adorable and have a catchy catchphrase.. Gao, Uguu and Dozo (I just Love how Fuko says Dozo in the anime XDD) I Wish Little Busters! will be serialized into an anime =/ We need more of Tomoyo Arc D: Seriously,, Even in Tomoyo After manga itself, Takafumi is not shown that much.. The story only focused on Tomo, Kanako and Tomoyo (The storyteller) @Raizoken Well, Because it'll take you approximately 300 Hours to Complete everything inside? XD |

I'm really enjoying this series so far. I just love everything about Clannad. @Xnewbiez, you say play the VN today, i'd love too! I've acquired the FV. But i'm just waiting for the translation as I can't read Japanese :3 I can't wait though, never played a VN.

actually kirky.. there are translations.. just look into google and you should find it ^^ So, I just finished Fujibayashi Routes today... Okay, after doing all the Bad endings -.-;; Finally I Got the Kyou one.. (man, Fujibayashi Ryou's Route is not that good.. no wonder they call it Kyou's bad ending for several reasons) so yeah *cough* The ending really surprised me somehow I Really didnt see that one coming XDD Though Im already suspicious seeing how her appearance is not the same... but still... By the way,, that dude Kyou mentioned in the end of the route.. Couldnt possibly be.. him right? The one who showed up earlier in the route .-. |

@renma: if u already play kyou's route, get "his" route as well cos it's almost the same as fujibayashi arc @Kirky: i think the translation only works for voice patch, so all u need to do is install Clannad , install voice patch (this one bit tricky but if u follow the readme carefully u should be allright) and then just replace the seen.txt with the new translated one

@Raz Maybe :D Think Im gonna do it later... @Xiao Well, tomoya is an idiot XDD By the waaaay,, anyone who played the visual novel should be familiar with the Light orbs... anyone noticed that after every arc in Clannad, the number of Light orbs increase? XDD (You can observe it in the,,, errrr-- when the title of the chapter shows up,, you know the green one like the main page of the visual novel) I just noticed it when I Rewatched Episode 5 Rofl |

@renma Yeap, the title screen is a reference to the main menu anyways. The anime has more orbs than me T_T @kirky It takes some time to get it installed properly, but in the end its worth it. =P |

Thanks for the advice. I'm gonna download the non-voiced version, get the voice patch and then get the translation in. Oh, loving the Kyou sig Newbz. She was/is my favourite character XD
