Another question.. What was the biggest and most stupid mistake you made in one of the series ... I got so far from Dollet all the way to Galbadia Garden meeting Irvine, It was 4 am and being so sleepy I stupidly turned off the play station without saving .... :L (not very bad but I got so far :( ) |

Stupid mistakes? In Final Fantasy X I had completed the sphere grid, gotten every character Break HP Limit and gained every Aeon. Basically, my characters were powerhouses. I decided to start over one day and was talking to my brother as I was finding a clear save file....and saved over that file on accident

Hmm, I'm so stupid not to save the game in Final Fantasy 6 to the second arc where they need to stop Kefka. I usually use different save slot since it's an emulator then I accidentally rewrite one slot which I'm already trapped since I can't go back anymore below because I forgot to buy equipments so I ended using the second recent save slot and poof, do it again. :/ |

By far my favorite cut-scene is Zack's final moments. It was really sad but at the same time you couldn't expect any better from square enix. My only stupid mistake is doing a complete run through of FF13 without saving then my house power being knocked out by a storm :U

@Cheh1 are you one of the people who still use playstation 1s and play games from the 90s? O.o (the 90s what a great time to be alive) I have another question.. What final fantasy has had the best soundtrack and fighting music? I think FF9's final boss theme is the best fighting music as for the best soundtrack probably FF9 or FF7 so hard to choose XD |

Concerning Boss Battle Music I would have to go with FFVII/VIII/IX Nobou Uematsu is a musical genius so it's hard to choose.

I'm joining this group. Count on it. I've played FF I, II IV, VI, X & X-2. Still trying to play 7 . Either way these classic version r great. Though honestly it feels a little weird when XII onwards beccame more like an action game.

@Kazumi - Welcome to the group! Regarding the previous question, I've never really messed up badly in a Final Fantasy game. The only time I can think of is when I didn't create a back-up save in FFVII and had it go corrupt on me. I took a break from the game (at which point I was at the top of the Shinra building) and found out later that the save had gone corrupt, costing me several hours of game time. That happened during my first play through of the game. As for best music, I consider it a toss up between VII and VIII. Both of them had good battle music, although VII had more memorable music for me. |

nah. my PS1 is already unusable. so I play them in PSP XD for music I'll have to separate between encounters and boss fight~ for encounters I'll choose FFX and for boss I'll go for FFXII soundtrack.. hmm.. I cant choose.. I just like too many of them!

I did encounter a problem b4 as well. when i used to play FF X. I ald reach all the way to Sin, then thought of returning back to the earlier parts to complete all the skills and Aeons. But then i accidently deleted the save file, though they mentioned it had to be formated. I din format it, but still i missed the wrong slot and erased it b4 i knew it. Had to restart all over again. But then i managed to collect most of the Al Bhed dictionaries...........

@LuffyDragon I have the orchestrated version, the original version, Advent children version and Crisis Core version the list goes on XD Although some sound exactly the same... @Kazumi It seems everybodies mistakes involving deleting of saved games. I'm so careless it's happened to me on many occasions.. @Everybody best final fantsy ending? I think FF7, the ending is just really cool and the secret ending leaves you thinking about the game.. (Use spoiler warnings incase people haven't played the game yet) |

Endings? Let's see. . . Final Fantasy VII - I really liked this ending, but also disliked it. I liked it because it left the fate of the world and characters up to the player's interpretation. The player could decide what happened to everything and everyone through their imagination (except for Red XIII anyway). The reason I disliked it is because my favorite kind of endings are the ones where everything is wrapped up nicely and the main character is shown living happily. Advent Children pretty much ruined the entire ending (and to a certain extent, the VII series itself). Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core - The 'last stand' moment was badass and the ending itself was really emotional. It's the only FF ending that has made me cry (I did get choked up during the ending of FFX, but only during Auron's moment. Tidus can go to hell). Dissidia: Final Fantasy - This was a great ending, I loved seeing the major FF characters together. Squall - "Perhaps we can go on a mission together again." Cloud - "Heh. Not interested." Least Favorite Endings: Final Fantasy VIII - The ending made little sense and was completely ridiculous from start to finish (especially their 'plan' to take down the last boss). The home movie style cutscene also wasn't really that endearing. Dissidia: Duodecim - Hated this ending. The battles, ending and lead-up to the ending had no emotional impact whatsoever. You don't feel like the characters actually accomplished anything (even though what they did was incredibly important to Dissidia) and the characters felt flat, despite the fact that these are all characters which were fleshed out already in their respective games. The ending also makes Lightning from FFXIII the star in a sense, since it focuses a lot on her, even though she had almost no part in shaping the events (Kain played a way bigger role, and in my mind, should have been the star character of 012). Square messed up badly with their handling of this game (for more reasons than the ending, but I won't get into those in regards to this question). I have kind of a 'hopeless romantic' thing for video game endings, wanting everyone to live happily and married/in a relationship. |
